"The Next Great Champ" is a copy version of Sylvester's Stallone's "The Contender."

last time i checked, silvester stalone is just an actor. and his charector rocky is just a fictional charector.
oscer de la hoyoa is a real boxer. =/
and he went to my high school, and had the same chemistry teacher as me XD

bleh, when my dad brings me to his work in the summer, we would go past the places where the Sopranos was being shot. Like the outdoor store in the show, i get all my camping equipment there(Ramsey Outdoor Store) I've left the store seeing the filming crew getting set up.
If i didn't make it obvious enough i'm from NJ

It is still a copy verion of "The Contender". If you read some of the things, Oscar got the idea to make the show from "The Contender". FOX Sports even criticized about him trying to be like Sylvester. It doesn't matter if he was a real boxer. Guess what? These shows are called *show business*. And who has more experience on that? Yep, Sylvestor does.
Even funnier, that the "Next Great Champ" gets criticized by FOX sports but yet FOX plays the shows.
BTW, Oscar was never a great fighter. If they put Oscar and Sylvester in the ring, I would bet my money on Sylvester. LOL i know that is soo random but this topic is in RI. Isn't it?

Did you watch the season opener for the Philadelphia Eagles v.s. Tampa Bay buccaneers last season? It was at Philadelphia's home field and Sylvester did a short skit for them before the game started. Since he is famous in Philadelphia for his statue in the First Union Center and of course his Rocky movies.
but anyways, if you saw him during the skit. It doesn't look like his body has changed.

its all fliping puff. people in movies do different excersises to give the puff look, but not real muscel. i mean, yeah, its muscel, but in the strong man compititions.. that doesnt look like they're all that strong, but fliping BAM! they lift up 400 pounds.
and flipin ahye! you put the picture for his album?!? wtf is that? dont make me put the picture from one of stalone's god awful romantinc commedies >=)
hoya would win, end of story.

Compare Rocky's entrance to the ring to Oscar's entrance.
Rocky does his normal thing waving to the crowd. And the fruitcake De La Hoya brings mariachi's.
I swear De La Hoya is really soft. And how can you say that is all puff? LOL the guy looks like he has no body fat.
Sylvester Stallone would own Oscar any time in the ring.

ahh, ahh, there you go again. cmoparing a fake, faulty, FICTIONAL charector to a real life chapion.
i actually did some searching, and found this:
Oscar De La Hoya is one of the most skilled fighters in the world and maybe of all time. De La Hoya also does something that not many other fighters do, he takes on all comers. Having fought, and lost in decisions, Felix Trinidad and Shane Mosley, is not something to hang your head about. In both fights, Oscar was very close on all scorecards and very easily could have pulled them both out. Oscar has won world titles in an amazing 4 different weight classes (135, 140, 147 and 154 pounds). In his most recent bout, De La Hoya beat up and KO'd Fernando Vargas in a very technical and brillant fight by De La Hoya. Now that ciuntryman rival Vargas is out of the way, there are only three big fights left for De La Hoya's career: Felix Trinidad (rematch), Shane Mosley (rematch) and Bernard Hopkins.
find me something about stalone's fighting record, how many chapoinships he has won, how many punches he has thrown, and THEN we can do some calculations.
what you are doing is pure subjective reasoning. lets get in smoe factS!
Stalone is an actor. HE ACTS. he knows how to act like a punch was thrown, how to act like he has taken a punch and knows how to act like a winner.
oscar KNOWS. he knows how to be a champion, he knows how to be a winner.
(btw, whats wrong with mariachis? its better than being america's whore like stalone.)

Lol.. VF's right. Oscar would own Sylvester. Its not about the muscles and poop, its about skill. Hoya can dodge fast and do quick combos, while if Stalon while is the ring, he wouldn't do crap.
Lets put it this way, Hoya would win, why? Slyvester is not a boxer =)
