Here's the article. I have been hearing about this for a while.

marve| versus EA on the cards

EA and marve| Enterprises announce a deal that will see marve| superheroes battling new EA heroes in upcoming fighting games.

Electronic Arts and marve| Enterprises have today announced a deal that will see EA developing fighting games that pit superheroes from the marve| universe against new EA heroes. Under the multiyear agreement, EA has also granted marve| the exclusive rights, as worldwide licensing agent, to all consumer products and media licensing for the new EA hero characters. marve| already has plans to publish comic books introducing the EA characters in the future.

"This is a tremendous opportunity for EA to create new characters for fighting games that can be exploited through our global merchandise licensing machine to fuel sales in many other product categories," said Allen Lipson, president and CEO of marve| Enterprises.

"It's a unique opportunity, partnering with marve|, to bring their renowned superheroes into original video game environments, as well as providing us an opportunity to create new heroes that will live in games, comic books and other licensing or media opportunities that marve| presents," said John Riccitiello, president and COO for Electronic Arts. "Fans of both traditional marve| comics as well as video games have a lot to be excited about, as they will be able to fight it out between established marve| superheroes and EA's new heroes in original scenarios."

Fighting games starring the marve| and EA superheroes are already in development for multiple platforms at EA's Canada studio in British Columbia. We'll bring you more information as soon as it becomes available.

It really sounds... err, what's the word here... maybe I'd just go with wierd that EA would produce "fighting" characters pitched against the

because marve| got it's panties in a knot and canceled it, but i heard about this thing a long time ago, (i think i read it in nintendo power) and it's not EA charectors vs. marve| charectors, it's marve| charectors versus several superheroes that EA made up, meaning it will suck big ones, EA makes very subpar games, the only thing EA has over any one is a poop load of money, the only good game EA made was madden...

Madden? Forget madden, what about burnout 3? That was nothing short of awesome. but i agree most of their games aren't very good.

Tekken vs. Virtua Fighter or Dead or Alive would be better

so, EA sucks big time and didn't created good games in a while ?

well you sure aren't a fan of DRIVING OR SPORTS GAME are you, cause they specializes in those, greatest examples would be these...

NHL SERIES, NFS series including the underground ones !
The SIMS, BATTLEFIELD SERIES and much more !

i think these are all worth it, oh but it might just be you who is just plain old stupid and thinks only fighting games and action game are worth it, maybe you like CRASH BANDICOOT going all out against jumping beebles !

in any case, that is one thing whch is true and that is the fact that i don't see EA in a FIGHTING GAME either, they should stick to WAR GAMES and SPORTS games !
but i say let's see, there is a first for everything and they might as well suceed in doing things where other have failed miserably !
