Blah.. it's all about the diesel
But I think the best talent I can see coming up is Dwayne Wade. He's special.

Dwayne Wade is aggressive...
gieandfer

no. shaq is. damn he scares me. do u see how fat he is? poop i wouldnt get in a fight with him if my life depended on it

not fat muscle....no fat on shaqo....and he sucks cause he cant shoot for dimes :D
blanka09
04-22-2005, 08:49 PM
haha... that's why he's the most dominant player in his era. Look at how the Lakers changed without him. They went from a Championship contender to a team that can't even make the playoffs. And don't gimme that crap about Payton and Malone leaving, the truth is... it was always a Shaq and Kobe team
But Wade.. yeah, he's aggressive... but he's also skilled and knows how to play the game.
blanka09
04-22-2005, 08:50 PM
And of course most players have their weaknesses.. shaq is no exception. But what he lacks in jump shots and free throws, he makes up for in his strength and dominating self in the post.

Yeah... enough of the LeBron hatred. I have a lot of respect for him... cause he didn't let all the hype get to him.. and he's playing the game the way it should be played. He's just in an unlucky situation right now with a team that has a very poor management and not too many players that can assist him. It's a team sport and he can't do it alone.
AnimeGirl4evr: I'd say.. the only thing Allen Iverson has on Dwayne Wade is experience.
Dwayne Wade has a better chance of winning the championship than Iverson does, cause of SHAQ  ... and furthermore, Dwayne is just as bold as Iverson when moving through... or slashing through the lanes.. and Wade is about 4" taller and a lot bigger than Iverson. So I'd take him over Iverson on a level

Thats true...But Lebron Is pretty good for his age..alotta people say hes the next young Jordan..
blanka09
04-23-2005, 10:25 AM
LeBron.... well, let's not go to the next Jordan phase yet. He DOES have a bright future ahead of him... but all he needs is a good supporting cast. And he's averaging like 6 - 7 assists a game, that's not bad at all for someone you're calling a "ball hog"
Now, as far as Wade, Shaq and Allen goes... Allen Iverson can't drive through Shaq; he'll get bumped across the world and back
I respect Iverson, but I prefer Wade as a player.

Wade goes crazy over alot calls though
Of course he goes crazy over some calls.
When the Miami Heat play against the Indiana Pacers or Detroit Pistons, the rule book is completely different. The referees call out alot of bad calls most of the time when they are vs the pacers or pistons.
Stan Van Gundy had to explain it to the team as well. quote from press conference:
"When we are playing a game against the pacers or pistons, the rule book changes. We have to understand that most calls won't go in our favor. Some things the pistons and pacers do aren't fouls but are fouls when we do them."
Watch, when the Miami Heat wins the Finals this year, then next year all the calls will be in our favor.
blanka09
04-23-2005, 01:10 PM
Maybe we shouldn't jump the gun on who will "win" the finals and all, but when the Pistons play, the rules somehow morph. In the sense that, they get too many calls.. and no matter how you'd want to shy away from that fact, I agree with dominicankid.
But I don't think they'll make any drastic ones that would actually change the outcome of the "WHOLE" game... there might be some that'll bite here and there... but nothing really to cry blood over

^Here's someone who doesn't watch sports news currently.^
If you were to watch the news, you would have heard about "Jermaine Oneal's 20+ age limit speech" which the NBA is taking into consideration and most likely will pass that rule before the next draft.
They no longer want to get students out of highschool to go straight into the draft.
So unless you have failed 2 years of highschool and your going to be 20 at the time you graduate, you won't be allowed to enter any NBA draft. If anything they might pull out the same rule the NFL has "No one out of highschool allowed to join the draft".

I don't think they've made the decision yet.
And I'm thinking about creating a topic about it. It is absolutely absurd. I know not ALL kids who come out of high school over the age of 18 actually make an impact in the NBA... but look at the facts.
The President of our blessed nation can send an 18 year old to go to another man's land and point a machine gun... or an AK47 at another man and KILL that man... then why the hell can't an 18 year old play in the "NBA" to fend for his family.
It'll be absolutely absurd if the NBA puts that age limit thing in effect for the next draft... cause if they had that 2 years ago, then we won't have any LeBron James.. or Carmelo Anthony in the game to marve| at.
If they think they're ready, then let the come into the draft, and let the teams doing the draft speculate on whether or not to draft them, or not

There's a big difference between playing in the NCAA and HighSchool.
Where Lebron James played in highschool, had ALOT of great highschool teams.
Here is my example of why I like this rule..
Comparing Lebron's district highschools with a district that does not have a very competitive district..
Lebron averages in his district for example 26.7 ppg 8.7 rpg 7.8 apg..
Kid in a very low competitive district averages 27.6 ppg 8.3 rpg 7.9 apg..
Now if you compare them both, they are statistically about equal players.. But yet we don't see how competitive the districts are..
It is hard to keep up with thousands of districts. I beleive every player should goto college before they step up to the NBA.. College can teach you some things that prepare you for the NBA. If some of these people who came out of highschool had some college experience, then they would be much better players.
You can't compare Highschool games against NCAA, because the weakest NCAA team would own the crap out of any highschool team. NCAA recruits the best and strongest out of all districts. Then they put them to play against each other..
And like I said before. How hard is it for a kid in a weak district whos 5'7 in a highschool team, shoot the ball 15 times through the hoop and average 30+ points per game yet named one of the best out of highschool when someone else in a really good district is averaging 25.7 ppg?

But look at the problem with ur analysis. You're looking at it from the perspective of the game itself. Half of these guys actually WANT to go to school.. and some of them end up going... but sometimes, the main reason most of the actually go directly to the NBA, is cause with a high school career like the one they've just had, they know the scouts would be out to get them... and there's no telling what could happen to them in the NCAA
Their worth might actually decrease going or coming out of college... so if you want to take the chance and PLAY the game at a high level, going out straight to the draft, knowing that a team might draft you always sounds like the logical thing to do.
Sometimes it isn't the best, but when you look at their reasons, it's kinda hard to put a mark agains them. some of them are just trying to get enough money to take care of their single mothers.. or brothers, sisters and large extended family.
The NBA gives them the chance to be able to make use of what they have and what they can do, to make ends meet and have the things they weren't able to have growing up.
It might seem like a vague way to look at things, but when you have a player like LeBron James, and Tracy Mcgrady, you can't actually say they're TOTALLY wrong for wanting to be pros
My own problem is the stupid 20 year old age limit thing. Why the hell would your president have the right to send you to war and command you to kill another man at 18, and then sayy someone of 19 years can't go into the NBA to make a living. That's just absurd.

HAH and no one would accept you anyways.
-------------
Anyways you think the NBA scouts really care? They rather have someone from college than someone from highschool.
The cavs didn't even trust that Lebron was good enough for the point guard position when he started playing. Lebron started as a shooting guard which basically is what Damon Jones plays right now.
You can't go by highschool statistics. You have to go by college statistics. College has the best of the best in school districts. Highschool has the best of the worst. You will never know what a highschool kid will bring to the NBA. The NBA level is way higher than a little highschool game level.
And comparing the NBA and military is pretty much wrong. If we were to compare that, then we would have to bring the NFL rule into this as well, and in that case, theres no way in hell someone should send an 18 year old kid to the NFL. Now we are talking about serious injuries (broken bones, spinals, etc etc..)
