Too Much Players; too much skills - The top scores are going incredibly fast.

I don't know...looks too cute to be anger in my opinion...

A solution to this dilemma? Perhaps each server/mirror site will have it's own topscores board, and even though players would be required to play on a single server/mirror to build up a score, it shouldn't hurt the game.

Naaa, I think that is how it should be kept (the high score list). The game is ever changing. You have to keep playing to be the top, and that is the challenge.;)

No way!!! If you are on the top, doesn't mean you are the best! Some people like MvC2sucks keep winning against newbies for a long time, and get so many points that they go on the top!
