Shockwave problem - Its probably just me.

Well today when I went on Streetfighters Online (successfuly) I had the older version of the game. -Travon sended me the new version of the game over msn, and when i tried to open Sfo a screen poped up, It said that one or more of your shockwave files are damaged and you will need to reinstall it. So im thinking...no big deal ill just re install it. I clicked the link to the install page and I installed, I still got the pop up when I tried to open sfo. So I reinstall it from the macromedia shockewave home page. Still Sfo dosent seem to work. So I took Evil Akuma's advice and uninstall all of Shockwave from my pc, then reinstall everything for schokewave again. I download it and now im trying to install it. but when Im installing it, the window for the installtion never seems to pass "One percent"...it just stays there...at 1 percent. :shocked:

Try useing a Utility on your computer and look at software conflicts, then go from their ;) Sometimes with shockwave stuff you can fix it without re-installing all that junk ;)

Try getting Shockwave 8.5 from http://www.streetfighteronline.com/download.htm

My game works fine.. all i did is upgrade to sfo11d :biggrin: Which is all i had to do.. LOL ^_^

That what happens to me, it stays at 1%, finally someone has the problem I DO !!!!! Maybe you can help me fix it too ?

umm, now two people has this problem. This is what ya might wanna do. Clean ur cache, remove shockwave from ur PC. Go to www.streetfighteronline.com and click start>mirror1 and then a pop up should come up about shockwave trying going that way and see if it let u. Then try installing it

My cache has been cleared numerous times today, and no matter what shockwave link/window/screen you go to, if you dont have shockwave it will 1st download the installer, then you will have to install it, when you are trying to install it, nothing will happen. It just sits there at one perceant. Im glad someone else is having this problem other then me, its relieving....

known bug, it happenned to me to around 3 days ago !

TMyApp says its a bug dur to SHOCKWAVE 10 which is the current version of the player. but TMyApp has the installer for shockwave 8.5 which is what the game uses ! so go on the main page, click on play, download, the new window will have 3 options for you, download the 1.1c to 1.1d version. download the missing dll's and download the 8.5 shockwave installer !

install the 8.5 version, (that solved my problem) but if it still doesn't solve it, download the dlls and if everything still fails, then something is wrong with your installation of shockwave ! you will have to delete it and restart from scratch !

Ive already have all of the .dll files and ive alirhgty have the SFO11D file. Shockwave 5.5 and version 10 are giving me the same problem, before it wou;dnt pass 1 percent, and now it tells me to close all of my browser windows, but all of them are closed. Plus Ive already started from scratch, i uninstall my old shockwave and try to install it again, but nothing works.

the shockwave 8.5 from http://www.streetfighteronline.com/download.htm shold have solved this issue...

if not, then there is something else going on with the browser and/or the shockwave plugin

my advice.. even if you get that error, try to run the game the way you normally would... it would probably work without any further errors (@least that is the response i've been hearing from people)
