Which character has the overall advantage - A look at the characters

Well even thought there r only five characters, Ryu, Chung-li, Wolverine, Cyclops, and Sentinel this would i guess be a good topic. Ok first of all the person i choose is Ryu because I like his moves. But I change my characters to fit that of the person i'm fighting. I would say that if your fighting Chung-li the best people to use would be Wolverine or Ryu mainly Wolverine because of his nice attacks and being that Chung-li is more of a kicker than beamer like Cyclops and Ryu. Against Wolverine I myself choose Ryu. because Ryu is fast and can get out of the way from Wolvereines attacks and he has the haduken which can cancel out Wolv's special. Now a hard character to determine who to pick to fight him would be Cyclops. See many people be cheap with him by continuously using his optic blast, which is hard to escape becuz it is very fast. But if your a good Ryu or Chung-li user then choose them against Cyclops. This is because they both are fast and have good combos. Choosing Wolverine against someone with attcks like that is suicide. Now Sentinel. Considering how slow he is would be good against him. But look out for his attacks becuz they do take a lot. Especially the flying srm thing. The one when he sends out those three little arms that fly towards you and knock you up and continue to hit you. I faced someone who chose Sentinel and he used that in the begining of the match and it took more than half of my energy, so beware- don't take him to lightly. Now considering how Ryu is pretty much good against everyone who would you choose against Ryu? Ryu against Ryu would be good and Sentienl if used the right way would be good. But Expert Wolv users can definitly use him against Ryu and slaughter him. The only set back with Sentinel is that he is too slow. The set back with Wolverine is that he has no porjectile attacks which makes it kindda hard to reach your aponent. So after considering who has the advagtage of who, I would say that Ryu and Wolverine are the best two characters on here. First Ryu and then Wolv. That right there is my tag team- Ryu and wolv. Well I hope that this was a good topic and that this may have helped some with there figthing.

I think cyclops has the advantage over all of them because, He can triple jump plus super jump hypers/variables.

Sentinal - Cyclops can run up and keep doing his famous combos you all hate to see me do cause u dispise cyclops :plain: only im not cheap but you dont care anyways you will say Im cheap even tho I'm not..... Oops I went of topic :laugh:

Ryu- Jump his hypers but cant crouch the spinning kick because Cyclops is too tall :( But is faster than ryu

Chun li - Chun li's hypers are not stopped by optic blasts so that gives me time to power up my hyper meter if she does the kikousho w/e Also chun li can triple jump, but cyclops could catch her in air with some beams and axe handle smashes and kicks.........

Wolverine - Distance game.

Chunli = tripple jump
Cyclops = double jumps

and for the jump part everyone can simply HYPER JUMP and get the same results as cyclops or chunli !

for the running combo !
THERE IS NO COMBO in the game !
just a special move that cyclops can do and it is very easy to avoid because you can just JUMP over him while he does !

there is no ADVANTAGE in this game as the ADVANTAGE is the man(girl) behind the keyboard !

well ssjkarma, though that move may be a reg I still consider it a combo beacuse it seems like one. Though all of you players may not agree with wut i wrote I still think that this is a good look at the characters.

i totally agree with you cheyenne. ryu/wolverine is that perfect tag aswell. one thing, wolverine vs cyclops, isn't suicide, it's only suicide if you have no skillz, in which case you should not even be playing against a decent fighter. i am firm in my opinion that ryu and wolverine are the best, a good wolverine player can't beat a good ryu, ryu's moves simply cancel out wolvs and in the meatime wolv gets the punishment for trying his moves and getting hadoukened in the face. wolverine is easy to keep cornered, you just have to watch out for getting cornered yourself. regular jumping combined with hadouken/strongkicks, followed up by ryus uppercut will keep wolverine much more than occuppied. this is my opinion, agree with me or be wrong

castone i'm glad that your and I r on the same page. When i said going against Cyclops with Wolverine is suicide i meant that if the Cyclops user is cheap like 99.9% of them r then it would be very hard to get close to them with them always doing the optic blast. But yes u 2 r right- if u r good with Wolverine then u still have a chance but it would still be hard.

SSjkarma i know u didn't say that nay of the characters has the advantage. U said that it is the person behind the keyboard that could win or not. Wut made u think i thought u said Cyclops had the advantage. I said that the move u called his reg was seemed to me like a combo not a reg.[quote]

since that game is up at vgm fusion, i guess now we can talk!I think wolverine has the best advantage 'cause he can avoid supers if he super jumps and does a drill claw. he slide under ryu's hadokens and trip people. his hard punch can throw you up and then wovlie can jump and corner you.. he has the most non-special attacks: down mp, down hp, down hk, and then his specials, and then two supers. :D

Karma is right.......all char have weaknesses and advantages......I'm good with some characters but I suck with others why cuz I don't know how to do combos with them.......it's all about the player skills
