For those of you who play or haved played Street Fighter Alpha 3 Arcade, you know that sometimes the computer can be cheaper than a n00b on steriods. One A.I. in particular that is cheap as #### is Zangief's (the most cheap son of a b*$ch in my opinion). He'll grab you the whole match like you was his b%$ch. Since I despise cheapness coming from man or machine I decided to try something that the inferior n00bs love to do... QUICK PUNCH/LOW QUICK PUNCH. I was using Ken so this applies to- Ken, Ryu and Akuma.

Here's how it has to go down:
1. You better get use to tapping Jab.

2. MINIMAL skillz required, so n00bs will have a field day.

3. As i'm sure you have already guessed you tap Jab AS FAST AS YOU CAN, but thats only half of it.

4.If your fighting against someone without projectiles (like that cheating SOB Zangeif) you stand your ground and mash away. If they try to jump in at you you'll knock them away. To prevent the CPU from repositioning itself to make a sucessfull jump-in, you have to move forward or back a little to "fake" out the A.I. (but continue tapping like f^&k).

5. If your going against someone with projectiles the above strategy will work, but be ready to go on defense. Now this is where the MINIMAL skillz come into play. To end the match faster you can try to jump-in with a Forward Kick then hold down and tap Jab like crazy (you'll get like 4 hits. If their in the corner you'll get like 6).

6. Now for the advanced cheesing strategy. Everything as above but combine it with real skillz. You'll be amazed at how bad you'll school the CPU. When you comine the Jabbing with skillz always Jab into a combo/super and Jab out of a combo/super. You can even Jab someone out of a super easily.

7. If anyone stares at your cheap gameplay tell 'em to "F-off i'm beating the game with 50 cents", if your a n00b tell them "well i'm a n00b, what do expect".

8.N00BS: DO NOT USE THIS AGAINST HUMAN OPPONENTS UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR HEAD BASHED IN...

I'm sure this will work in all the Alpha's
I would post a GAURANTEED strategy to beat M. Bison, but I don't want n00bs saving money...

ahh yes... Zangief, one of the hardest, and one of the cheapest in the game, if you don't have someone who doesn't have anti-air, then your going to have to put in a lot of quarters to beat him.

Nice strategy though

Many times where I'm using a sucky character like R. Mika, and I have to fight Zangief, I just almost quit(only used her once though). You can't block Zangiefs grapples, if you throw a projectile at him(which Mika doesnt have), he'll easily jump over it, and he'll absorb your fireballs with his banishing flat(argh!). I'm surprised Zangief came a long way, from being one of the easiest opponents, to one of the hardest/cheapest.

To be honest, I have actually found a much much cheaper strategy than the one above, but, alas, only for ken/akuma. Well, it might be for Ryu too, but I don't really like him, and have never wanted to see how, at the end, only the fight matters to him. Which i assume is his ending.

Anyway, here's the super-dooper never fail i am so cheap I reuse condoms strategy. It also only works on the CPU... unless your human opponent is really quite stupid.

1. Trip the opponent. I don't care how, just get him lying on his back, on the ground.

2. This applies if the opponent is to the right of you. If not, well, reverse the joystick directions. Hold right. ie, walk over to the downed opponent, and keep on walking.

3. Just as they get up... and most everyone can tell just when someone is going to get up - if you can't, just as you see their "get up" animation... do a shoryu-ken. Well, really its just a fireball, seeing as you've been holding right all this time.

4. Laugh as the opponent predictably tries some move, only to be banished to the floor from the might of the dragon punch power.

5. Repeat from 2.

NB: If Bison, be a bit careful. Sometimes, just as he gets up, he does his "look at me turn the whole screen white" trick. If you see, as his "get up" animation, him shimmering and disappearing, do yourself a favour and hold back. Or teleport if you are Akuma (fireball with three punches).

Quite honestly, this strategy has a 99% success rate with ol' Akuma (at least at the uni machines). On Ken its not so good... maybe 70-80%?

1. First of all that is not a cheap strategy. EVERYONE knows it. It only works on the first 3 - 4 opponents, the later oppenents will grab you and throw you (especially Zangief) so it not really cheap.

2. It will eventually fail if you don't combo it. So your not helping the pathetic n00bs.

3. It works on any side of the screen, unless your skillz are so inferior that you can't play equally as well on either side of the screen. I look for that weakness and force human oppnents on their "weakside" then school them for their inferiority.

U sure it fails? Coz at my uni, it works like a dream... unless they REALLY dumbed down the computer! I'm suspecting the AI at our uni comps is quite stuffed... <wonders why>
Oh well!

lol u kno wat.. if u play the vs series.. all u do is hard kick (ryu) when u jump, med. kick + hard kick on the ground..
its very effective cuz it takes alot of health away and my friend can beat me even though he cant do combos for crap...
