No this isn't towards TMyApp (I am learning), this is towards the whole community here. I was bored so I check the top scores to see to my horror... THERE WERE 49 RYU USERS!!! I was the only one who used Chun Li. I like Ryu so I ain't hating on him, but THIS GAME HAS 2 OTHER CHARACTERS!!! No, one here can tell me that if they spen as much time on Wolvie or Chun Li as they did on Ryu they wouldn't be good with him, like come on TMyApp spent alot of time and hard work on these 2 people and it is a big slap in the face to see them not in use. I know this two won by voting so why are they not used. I didn't vote for Chun Li and I probably use her the most in this whole game. Ugh, this is a dark day in the Project X community...

I agree with you selvin, but I only use Chun-li to have fun, but when its a serious match, I use Ryu and I never use wolvie.. (maybe sometimes). But you can see why everyone chooses RYU, its not that he's the best SF chr. in anime and is always the hero, its that he's just too good... and if you wanna have a chun-li mat match, just lemme know!

because Ryu has a big beam which goes across the screen, and the others don't..... its power plus skill which makes the character strong.

selvin people don't use chun li or wolvrine for these simple things
1 chun li's move are very slow and most of don't even go the hole screen
2 wolvrine can't jump or even move that fast and ryu can .
3 some people think that when someone uses wolvrine they are being cheap

Well Wolverine is faster then Ryu and who cares if people think you are cheap. In the arcades do they only use Ryu??? Come on, give ye ole Wolvie and Chun Li a chance. You won't regret it.

And selvin, about wolvie, I gave him a chance and he's fast, infact he's too fast... and goes all over the screen. so thats one reason why I dont use him.. and for chun-li, she's too slow! But, on a system, I always use her aganst a real fast chr. like Vega...

ryu has projectiles thats probably why lol thats why i use him... i mean how much of a chance does wolverine stand against ryu? ryu has the big beam and the fireball thing and all wolverine has is a claw attack that charges for ya an #### i dunno about chun li

Wolvie has a very big chance of winning against RYU, I mean, I beat Pakistani easily (with no problems) using Wolvie... and I beat BoBWillHunt (sorta easily) using Wolvie... and I was using some of my skills I had with Wolvie, I wasn't just being cheap, and at that time, I didnt know how to do Down Slide or Drill Claw, so I wasn't being cheap... I just clawed him a lot and did supers, but I admit I kept them in the corners.. but not by being cheap... Thats one thing I barely use... and if there's a person who says Im cheap.. please tell me how, I'd like to fix that problem right away!

im jsut gettin used to the characters though but since i figured out how to do supers i use ryu an wolverine more evenly now but if someone uses ryu and keeps you away from em you dont have much choice on what your gonna do to em either

there is a thing called skill !

people are good with their own char !
if that char isnt in the list they simply
chose another one that comes in handy.

i use ryu for one thing, when i want to really
be sure to kick the butt of someone. why do
i say so ? simple, ryu moves are easily done !

that's why people use him !

for the wolvie stand no chance against ryu ?
that's a big fat lie ! me and a friend fought the
other day and he took wolvie and beated me out !
so why would wolvie in the game if hes not good ?
ok he need some tweakings ! but every char need some

but to come back on the topic ! i agree with selvin there are other chars, and you never know when you are good with one you never tried !

Yeah, I liked being Wolverine :) before and I still do now :biggrin: because I used to claw just about everyone when I used be him, but the REAL reason people stopped using him :angry:, and probably this has been said before is that people complain about LAG when the use him, i.e.:

1. People have trouble forward or backward super jumping with him (especially me) to get behind that opponent in the other side of the arena or to get away from their super, and most of time drill claw in the air just to get behind that person which is really a burden to do.

2. When you do a Hyper and you think they're in your grasp and you do it, the opponent, mostly a Ryu magically "teleports" behind you, UNHARMED, then most likely the retaliate on your bewildered confused sorry ass with a Special or Hyper, which really pisses long time Wolvie users (such as myself) OFF.

So really LAG with "Teleportion" has to do with why there are VERY few Wolverine users :(, and tons of Ryu and more Chun-Li users then Wolverine. When TMy does away with this LAG hopefully soon :) and this "magical teleportation" crap :wink: .....I WILL be back as Wolvie,....but as for now, I'll have to get used to being Ryu so I can get my points because of the crappy lag caused by being a great fighter Wolverine. :) :(

I know he's gonna be a helper, but screw that... I wanted to USE HIM... man, if my 2nd fav. chr. isn't in this game, that SUX BALLS! Sagat is an all time BEST! I could beat anyone using him in CCvsSF2 or using KEN, using KEN, im unbeatable...

look at the char select screen, if the char you want isnt there then DONT ASK FOR IT that mean he wont be in there until the game is finish and maybe he wont be there even when it will be finish !

people stop thinking like this is MvsC2 or MvsSNK or anything cause IT'S NOT !

When I first started playing this game I started with Wolverine. He's bezerker barrage followed by a that twirling slashing uppercut was really effective.
but then I tried Ryu since I was losing to Decent Ryu fighters, and so I learn to use Ryu....
I have learn to use Chunli now, and I only choose her when the opponent chooses Chunli.....

Wolvering has a serious problem when doing his special bezerker barrage move...The opponent teleports behind him...and that happens TOO frequently....

... doesn't anybody practice with all the characters? I use any of the characters out right now, and, even with how much some of you are complaining that they have their shortcomings, they are too slow, not enough range, too fast, etc., I still kick people's butts with them even when they use Ryu. Strategy... it seems that the majority of the people lack good, non-cheap strategies for Wolverine and Chun Li. Chun Li is very fast if you know what moves to use. Wolverine can very easily super jump forwards or backwards by first dashing forwards or backwards, then executing a super jump. Don't use the Kikou Shou with Chun Li; use her... her... ####! That advancing Lightning Kick move that is a super (can't remember name).

Have patience, and ye shall receive the blessings of the great butt-kicking power. People assume to much from minimal losses to Ryu-users. If I came up to you and beat you into the ground, would you start to use my character? Probably. Ryu just takes less skill to be good with. Practice, train, and you too can master Wolverine and Chun Li.

I do as well, but only recently and only for practise for the clan wars. but hey, if I get use to them I may just stick with one of them, I mean wolvie or chunli.......that is if there tweaked to where wolvie doesn't miss his opponent everytime he does the berserker barrage......:angry:

Well top fighter don't use Chunli Or Wolverine because they are scared of losing points and losing places...Today I fought with Chunli and lost to some players......I beat Megapower with Chunli while he was using Wolverine.....then again , vs.
Megapower, I used Chunli he used Wolverine.....but he beat me by time because he would keep regerating his health and ChunLi is to slow to do massive damage.....so that sucked.
but I don't care much about rank....I lose points so what......Take a look...I'm the only top 10 fighter who uses Chunli at the moment this was taken which was today

Her Kiko Shou should act as a force field against any attacks especially against the Shinkuu Hadouken since they're both basically energy attacks...Now against Cyclops Optic blasts, hhhhmmm...maybe that's the only move that should be allowed to go right through the Kiki Shou :biggrin:

i play chun-li and i know she can easily beat
anyone in the game ! just need the right strategie !

wolvie is faster ? chun-li has always be the
fastest char in the vs series ! and if you got
trouble with wolvie than force him to hyper
jump to you and kick his butt !

for the kiko-sho thing, i agree completely, in any
vs games his kiko-sho beat every normal moves
and cancel any supers ! i remember being chun-li
and my friend had ryu and both of us made supers.
i wasn't injured by his shinkuu !

WTF!?! Chun Li is fast, but not the fastest. It is Wolvie and Spidey and Wolvie barely beats him, but is super fast when he does the Berseker Charge, but thank god it isn't in this game or else he would be a lag demon.

I started out using Chun-Li under a different screen name, but always got my ass kicked by Ryu users. I could take out other Chun-Li users and most Wolv users, but she just can't stand up to Ryu. For one thing, she's useless in the air (unless you use her 'flash' kick or whatever the #### it's called). Try coming down with fierce kick from a jump to hit your opponent, and 9 times out of 10, it won't even connect. Ryu's kick, on the other hand, almost always hits it's mark. Her fireball is slow, and against other Ryu users that rely heavily on fireballs, this is a useless move. Her flash kick is somewhat useful, but your super meter doesn't build up as you use it (where as Ryu can just knock you around with quick punches, taking the same amount of damage as well as building his super meter). The move where she flies in the air while kicking (not sure what it's called) is somewhat useful against ppl that like to jump around a lot, but against ppl that like to throw fireballs it's pretty useless. Her super kick (not sure what it's called) is extremely powerful, but you can see it coming from a mile away. The only other thing I like about Chun-Li in this game is the fact that she can jump multiple times in the air. I will still play Chun-Li vs. Chun-Li or Wolv against anybody, but against a Ryu user, I'm gonna stick with Ryu.
