Unpin or delete pinned threads - ...?

Why don't you guys Delete or UnPin the Pinned toPics?
There are a $hitload of them laying around!
There are 5 in The General Section of General Part!
There are 6 in the Bugs are Problems sections!
There are 3 in the New Features one!
There is 1 in the Challenges and Tournaments section!
There are 3 in the ####ie HelP section!
And,.. there's one in the Random Insanity section!

There are a LOT of them that are Useless... And most of them were made SOOO long ago, there are some that were even made back in June 2002...
We don't need those anymore!

We don't need the "Bugs" ones either..
We have some from version 0.6d!
Common, delete these, they're wasting sPace, we don't need those!

Just keeP the important ones!

i agree with asshole, if the topic is getting OLD and i must say VERY OLD, like the RI one WARMOR made... they should be at least UNPINNED !

what is he trying to do, making the topic the biggest in history ? he succeeded, he passed the RI topic of RAZZ a long time ago ! i think he should UNPIN it ! that's the least he can do !

again, i agree 100% with asshoie, there are some CLEAN-UP to do !

I'm afraid I have to disagree. As much of a good idea as it is, I believe the mods and Tmy have been doing a good job so far, even with those topics up. I mean, the Love topic is still being used, widely too, and every topic is being looked at everyday. Check the amount of times looked at each day, and you'll see a difference. So, I think they should stay.

the big question is... why does this topic has 1110 posts and more just to say people you love the most in here ?

don't know if the same for others, but that topic is VERY VERY VERY USELESS and all that warmor wanted when he made that topic was to create a topic that would have more post counts then the very first RI topic razz had made a very long time ago !

that's not just the WARMOR topic, it is also about the LOCKED DWX CHRONICLE 4... i mean, it is already 4 months old... noe one can writein it for almost 1.5 month ! why is it still on top is a total mystery to me !

agree with you except for one thing. The DWX chronicles no longer eed to be responmded too, but they serve as both a record of some of the game's story, and an example of what kind of events this forum holds. Locking it, but keeping it pinned was a great idea. Howerver, it should eventually get its own section.

i understand that unbanning must be done by the MOD/ADMIN who banned the person... but pinned topics ? welll ! it must be just me, but i sure get annoyed by that 12xx+ posts topic that warmor made sometimes like half a year ago !

IMO, any pinned threads that get no posts in a week (or whatever) should be depinned, except if they're definately ongoing (eg 'forum rules', 'DWX chronicles', etc).

Really, Karma, I thought you to be more intuitive then that. The Love thread goes deeper than just saying "I Love YOU!" etc. And obviously, if people are posting in it more than once a day, then it is still being used. So, like I said before, the mods have their reasons for doing what they want/need to do.

Some of the things you mentioned, Asshole, didn't really have much thought. Why would they take a Faq out of the ####ie Help section? The Banner/Avatar thread is important, so people that want avatars/banners can reach the people outside of the forum, which will lower spamming and useless topics. The "Announcement about future of banner topics" thread is important to say to the new people that if if they want an avatar or a banner, that they have to post in the existing topics, read the people in the Banner/Avatar thread, or post a topic in the General section.

The Black Spiderman thread is there (imo) so that when ####ie's see the Black Spiderman, they will come here, and read about it. Really new players would probably think it's a cheat, or a glitch, and that thread would/will reduce the chances of that.

The "Idea for ending Game Budget Problems" thread is there to tell new people that just came to the forum, or whatever what they can do to keep the game alive, or at least get vip status. (Sadly, the second choice would be most likely) Besides, it was locked. Get over it.

The DWX Chronicles... I guess is just feedback about the DWX event. Remember, I'm guessing here. Don't bite my head off if I'm wrong.

Want to host a chat is for the people who want to host a server for the game. It would be considered a New Feature towards the game, since it would be adding something new.

The Bug Reports, I'll admit, are useless now. But, we'll let TMy do that when he's ready.

They have extra Sections for no reason then?

There was only ONE, which you had to say anything about, which was "Black Spiderman", well if you think about it, Every new-bie that comes in have a question about EVERYTHING!
Even I did when I came...
So just answering one question isn't gonna do anything..

I mean that "Green" ViP thing is something to think about ALSO!


And the other things you mentioned:
"The Forum Faq" in new-bie Section - should be moved to the "Forum Rules" in the AnnounceMents section!
"The Banner/Avatar thread" should be moved to the "Forum Rules" in the Annoucements section, since it's a RULE now, that you can't make any thread...
And the "Future Announcements" should be moved along with "The Banner/Avatar thread"!

Or better yet, they should have a small little GraPhics Section, due to the increasing rate of GraPhic Designs...

"The Idea for Ending for ending the Game Budget" should be deleted, because there already IS a ViP thread which tells PeoPle about "how to be a ViP", so we don't need another one, and it also covers that "You're helping!"...

The "Want to Host a Chat" should be MOVED to Announcements section, part "News and Updates".. since that also covers it!




Anything else you'd like to know?

i don't ask it to be deleted, i only ask it to be UNPINNED which will make the topic eventually die like the rest, post in it if you don't want it to die. but we cannot force people to look at it. because it's actually what warmor has done, forcing people to always see it !

why is this one different topic as the others in RI, that i don't understand. many other topics including that RP STORY we're making should be pinned too then. but they are not because normally MODS don't do a #### in RI !
