How come every1 thinks Ryu is the most skillful player...when its clearly CHUN LI...ive seen it in so many topics .Were people say ryu is the only player thats needs any skill 2 master..lol no.fear tetsuos said it...and a load others aswell. i think thats a load of smuck do you?

well i always say a good Sent user is hard to find *notice i said good, not cheap* and for me nearly any Chun user is a challenge, basically because all of her specials take out nearly 75% of my life in one attack. :hmmm:

yeah pretty much agree...plus the only reason shes *hard* for certain ppl is cause she freakin lag so much that your hit hardly ever connect so that makes it harder to kill her...

KKS, scorp... take away ryu's hadoken, and HE'S got nothin...take away cyclops' beam, and HE'S got nothin....

chunli doesnt have any single special or super move that makes her great; its her agility that puts her up there with the best; her ability to do aerial tricks dates back to Street Fighter 2 where she could jump off of the borders of the screen, enabling her to get over most attacks...the sprite-to-arena-size ratio is drastically different in XvsSf (the top of the screen is WAY higher, and there is generally more room on the ground), so chunli has to have 3 midair jumps to equate with her SF II counterpart.

and peopel, never forget who's the true master of Chunli here....KKS, how many times has a chun user beaten you? was it 2 times? wasnt i one of them? :biggrin:

oh, and Nferno...gimme a month or so to train/shape up, and I'll show you how its done--im at home now, with CABLE!! no more firewall....

i believe no one is the best. it depends on ur skills. say u've NEVER tryied fighting with chun li, and ALLWAYS fighted with ryu. ryu would be better than the chun li. and if u have ALLWAYS fought with chun li, then ur not gonna be good with ryu, don't u guys agree? that i do! lol.

He's the fastest in the game(next to spidey), he's had the most work done on him, making him the best he can be.

it actually always was a skill game, every damn fighting game are !
but really, skills and moves are all together in the same bag.
get rid of cyclops optic blasts and you don't have cyclops anymore.
get rid of the hadoken and you got a fighting machine. but not a ryu anymore.

its like, get rid of wolverine HEALING FACTOR and it won't be wolverine anymore !
yeah, the bones don't make him wolverine ok !

so i say, yeah ryu is the most balanced right now, but is far from being unbeatable, chunli's good also, so are all other chars. but all of them including onslaught... are far from being unbeatable !

i'm good enough with sent, i got more skill with him then i do with others. still, it doesn't have much moves that are fast enough to defeat anything !

the beam just takes his time to come out, his attacks are slow as hell and the character himself is a pain to move around. still it is the most powerfull character in the whole game.

it requires skill to master him, i sure don't have those skills. i can hold my own, maybe win a few matches, but never will i be in the top 5 to had mastered him.

at least i'm not cheap with him !

and for those who say HAND-TO-HAND is impossible with him, just try and fight me to the truth !

Yea Ryu is pretty well rounded. He is fast and strong and can be still used real good in lots of lag. Despite from what I herd that he doesnt do well on close distance, thats bs his p2 and k3 are pretty damn good and effective. Ive played lots of Chun Li's and the ones with the true skill to use her got to me. The fact that she is fast and has some pretty damaging moves. It doesnt take much to get her specials up either. But either way i stick with wolv. :D

All of the characters need skill to "master." They don't all need skill to be good with though.
