When you use the #### Wolverine combos its just an endless period of lag and hatred upon your opponent. You NEVER get out, the lag keeps you in there, and when you DO get out about half your life is gone!! BULLSHIT DAMNIT!!

hehe :biggrin: i see where this postis going.(no where)..reminds me of a previous post i read about wolvie vs ryu a week or two ago.one word of advice to all you wolvie lovers/ryu haters...hmm how do i put this....wolvie is designed to get in your face and pound ya sence less...ryu is designed to keep you far away from your opponent and blast the #### outa them...wolvie is called cheap when you lose to "cornering tactics",,,and ryu seems cheap when you forget to block his fireballs...i have been pounded senseless by "good" wolvie players...by "good" i mean they corner you combo you then leap away to give ya a second to breath.it's not that Ryu is cheap or that Wolvie is cheap...its the players that are cheap...not the characters.,,i have been cornered many times by experienced players with Wolvie and I almost always manage to get out of the corner and fire ball/blast/tornado kick wolvie in th back of the head...Wolverine is realy a "skilled" players character...if your a newbie...dont choose wolverine...and if ya got skill in fighting..and want a challange...choose Wolverine..
the 2 characters are realy 2 sides of the same coin...exact opposites realy...and wich ever player gets the upper hand with either,8-10 times will win.
i cant wait to hear all the bitch's when TMy releases the next charater...the forum is gonna be full of bitchin' then.

I used to be a hardcore Ryu player but now I am kicking a lot of ppl's ass with wolverine lately (I use guest account to play cuz I am reallly not interestedi n ranking. I think some ppl here have already fought against me.) No surprise I found out the ONLY tactic that works with wolverine is cornering or you u'll get Hadoken lock down to death.. Also I don't find Hadoken is that annoying if u air block when u try to jump closer.. The only thing that can really kill Wolverine is lag and that stupid pycho bitch helper (I've had 2/3 of my hp taken out by that helper during barrage). Ryu actually got some pretty decent close range counter moves that can kill Wolverine's barrage anytime. But it's a no brainer for anyone to figure out that once u got cornered by wolverine it's pretty much all over for you.. SO DON"T!!

Even though he only did ONE hurricane kick on me, I consider Imagination a fireball pussy. I was using Wolverine and all you would here is Hadouken x5, then Shinkuu. I don't know about anybody else, but he did it to me.

sigh....fireballs were placed in the Original StreetFighter : World Warrior Edition in the arcades WAAYY before some of you even heard of the name "Streetfighter". The merger between SF and Xmen battle was considered balanced actually. Wolvie doing more damage in close combat and Ryu doing good damage with his fireballs and dragon punches. Ryu has ALWAYS been the hero of SF series hence his 'power' in the game. If you can't handle it, then don't complain.

PS: Basically Wolverine is for advanced players. Good Wolvie players will know how to avoid the fireballs and 'get in close'. If you can't do that then maybe you shouldn't be playing Wolverine.

Last word : In the game, the BASIC strategy for Wolvie is for closecombat while Ryu uses his fireballs for long range. If you aren't using that, you aren't using your character to his 100% potential. If you can't beat that, DON'T EVER impose your 'beliefs' or whine about it.

basic rule : Never make another character 'fight like your character'. If I wanted to not be a 'fireball pussy', I would have chosen Wolverine as a closecombat character (definitely). The reason why i choose Ryu and not Wolvie is because I personally feel that my playing style suits Ryu better than Wolverine so STOP trying to whine about people not 'playing within your rules'!

Don't expect someone to play *DOWN* to your pathetic skill level! And dont ask someone to make things easier for you to beat them...That just *screams* weakness :biggrin:

The way I see it, all these ppl who post comments about other players "cheapness", have 2 options:

1. Get better, so you dont consistantly get your ass kicked by "cheap" ppl, who know what they are doing!

2. Stop playing the game, or the players you obviously cant beat, because you have no intention of getting better. You just plan on whining about them, or there "cheap" tactics!

i actually am better with chars like wolvie(not in this online yet though cuz there is no real combo controll to pound them>and spidy and strider hiryu. i prefer the smaller faster chars

i also like gambit my point is use wolive if you are best with him

use ryu if you are best with him

but don't blame it on anothers fighting style instead counter it and do what ever it takes to win

Anyone who complains about fireballs are not very good players, I mean if you can't even get near the opponent then stop playing! Ryu's Fireball poses no threat to me.. Helper/ and air block can get rid off them easily.. What I hate the most is lag/packetloss.. I swear to get I have this guy nailed in my barrage trap but certainly he just appear from my back and does a super hadoken to me.. That's kinda sad.. Not to mention Psycholocke is my worst nightmare as well.. I had 2/3 of my hp taken out by that bitch..
