No offense austin but your like half the problem...to put it simply your only a vet in my eyes because you have been here a long time.

Everytime a topic comes up about this subject your always one of the first to say "you're no vet, shadup noob" or how bout the good ol' "im the best dam thing around here"....very becoming of one who considers themselves a "vet".

You do everything that Virus has stated. It seems you classify vet from #### more than anyone else.

I'd understand if you're trying to turn over a new leaf, but at least state you were once a lad who added to the problem of vet vs ####.

I dont care about the past ..i do admit that i used to flame ##### too oh well now i care about the future of this game ..

well... i don't care about VET or #####, what i care about is all about respect of the PERSON behind the name !

after all... its all that count ! no ?
VET = a person who has been there for a very long time
NOOB = a person so stupid that stupidity itself don't want to be involved

vet are nothing more then that to me.

that's the way people should see the fact !

but everyone got a little FRUSTRATED at some point or another (mainly me) we all got our problems and when our EMOTIONNAL TANK is full, we gotta bash at something, but it is always seen thru this forum too and NOOB or VET gets flamed for nothing which brings more hatred around the place !

we just gotta hold on to each other and pray for this game to still be alive when this world will collapse ! its that, or we can all TRY to get along and still arrived to the same result !

ssjkarma, you are very right. The assumption is that Vets have been here longer, and thus know the ropes, but that says NOTHING for their maturity except that they have managed to behave enough to keep from being banned.

New bies are assumed to not know the ropes, and thus occasionally make "dumb" posts; HOWEVER, these assumptions are nopt always right--some vets act like complete dumbasses who know NOTHING about the forum rules (Bunmi), and some new bies act like they have been here for years (they could have been to other iB boards; i cant think of examples, I have seen them)

There should be no such thing as Vet and ##### ...Everyone is the same.. :laughlong:

wrestlemania: there will always have ##### and vets, why ? because it is that way and none others.
VETERAN = someone who has been here for a very long time.
which simply means VETS can actually be ##### themselves.

##### = some ####### stupid persons that even stupidities doesn't want.
as i recall, VETS can be in that category also.

vets and ##### are term that we all know will stay there !
but RESPECT is one simple thing when you think of it.
RESPECT = too much description to put here !

for me respect is when a person is ready to defend you in a tight debate !
it is also coming down to a person who knows when to talk and when to shut it up !
meaning that person is respecting me when they don't interfere in my affairs ! which most of the NEW COMERS don't actually does !
which make them having a lot of problem getting respected around the place, which bring us to this ##### flaming !

conclusion:
with a bit more respect in this place from NEW COMERS, perhaps we wouldn't have that much problems !

There are distinct differences between being a new person and a "####". A new person is new to the game and does not understand much about the game. If you teach this person, they will become a respected person.

But then there is a "####". A "####" is someone who spams, flames constantly, makes stupid topics, uses an over-abundance of smileys (i.e. :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire:, etc), and shows a blatant disregard for anyone and anything around him/her. As far as those kind of people go, I just ignore them, because they usually cannot be taught the other ways. I suggest you do the same thing.
