[color=#000000:post_uid2]Alright... throughout my days in SFO I have seen the same type of individuals. It's like a common chain of phrases and character you find in this community during the fighting.

Let me get this off my chest first... the Raging Demon.

How is this cheap? It's not. I fought {Graveskeeper} just yesterday and we were having solid matches. We were both Ryu but I was VIP and he wasn't (although he had rage factor, he wasn't using it). Our first match, he won. GG's were exchanged and then I offered a best out of three. He accepted and we carried on into a second match...

Mind you, it was still his host and we still picked Ryu's. Well, in my desperation I took a chance and started busting out the level three raging demons. I did two of them and won both rounds. but this time... he didn't say gg but called me cheap and told me to stop doing them. I simply responded with "You get what you pay for" and he wasn't feeling that so we never went to a third match.

How is the Raging Demon cheap? It's not. You have to take a chance with it. It's more of a gamble then any other move. It's not like it's unstoppable. I hate the fact that you will respect a player... but when that player loses they make the silliest statements and make a fool of themselves.

And another example of this SFO attitude is...

Saying GG after losing.

Some people just can't do it. It's like they'd rather die before saying it. Or some say it but whenever they say it they always have to add something. Whether it be "lol, gg" or, my personal favorite to hear, "LAG" (even when it's their host), some people just always have to add something or not say gg at all and just go straight to RE? RE RE RE????

I'm cool with people that don't initially say anything when they win or lose... it's just the people that act politely when they win and then totally change when they lose that I despise. Hear is a shout out to all those people I like to call "Sore losers!"

Well, I know all of you have have seen this problem... or are the problem!!! :hehe: just post here and share any instances where you have witnessed this kind've behavior. Share your experiences, just get it out!

I agree. People love it when they win, but if they lose, its a whole different story. "LAG" is what i see alot of people saying, and others include that the winner was cheating, or they were on the phone, or maybe even say that they just "werent ready" lol. Raging Demon is not cheap, and it does give you a change to counter it. Those people who hate the move done on them, might even use it themselves. Some people just have to realize that you can't win all the time, and SFO is JUST A GAME, not a matter of life and death. Lossing is a part of the game, and dealing with it is what I see alot of people here are lacking.

(which I have none)

my alltime favorite is "Oh, I forgot to change my controls!"

but another one I like is when im playing a ryu vs ryu match

and the guy says "omg you're a hadoken ####"

that one ceases to amaze me.

yea i agrea when i do a lv 3 special they say oh thats cheap but when they stop it with a projectile or helper they asses mad happy and not to mention lag free matches and i hear lag after i wooped they asses.. typical n00bs..

Alot of times I find myself constantly getting beat one match after the other to someone and we're exchanging gg's but when I finally win SUDDENLY they bring up "LAG OMG".

Some of them also try to put you down calling you names like #### and what not like Nugaruda mentioned previously. They call you cheap and try to convince themselves it was lag or another factor was at play so they can sleep better at night.

Some of my other favorites to hear after pummeling someone is "I'm still better then you" or "you suck". Is it so hard to say GG?! Jeeeeze! :dozingoff:

We should make the fact that we're girls irrelevant. With a name like hotsexy chic it's hard to hide that your a female fighter and it looks like you want it out there that your a girl. I think they dislike us as if we're some ominous X chromosomes that they must beat.

I can see how guys may get mad if the fact that we're girls is being rubbed in their face. When I play, I just don't mention that I'm a girl but I don't see how you could avoid that. Most of the times they refer to me as a "he" and I don't even say anything. I just want to keep the subject on fighting when I'm playing SFO, not on "What's you ASL" lol

Yes. I hate that too. People always like to say GG when they win but when you win suddenly the cats got their tongue (or in this case, their fingers).

I've played quite a few games and there is only a few times I remember a civilized respectful bout between an opponent without the whining and bitching and rude comments when either one ofus was winning.

You'd be surprised at some of the people who fit the bill when it comes to excuses... :whatsthat:

alot of people said i am cheap because i had guile as a helper,how is that cheap? i don't think anything is cheap because it in the game they maked it a part of the game it not like a cheat that ,that person use to win. i think cheap is giving your self free wins

When you think about it there really is no such thing as "cheap" in this game. If you can't handle a few rocket punches than you just have no skill and there isn't anyone that you can blame for that problem but yourself.

In this game people have to learn to handle several different styles of fighting and if a person likes to throw a million rocket punches or do constant Raging Demons you have to be prepared for that. Most people unfortunately, instead of trying to improve on there weaknesses choose to point fingers and disrespect one another. I think that there should be some sort of rule about that. :plain:

I know its kinda late but about the girl thing......I have to give props to the girl fighters of SFO. I know many that are alot better than alot of the guys here, and will actually give you a hard time in battle. Just today, I was fighting this girl, and she was really good. We fought like 6 fights, and we both were neck and neck. I don't put girls in a different category of skill as far as SFO goes, and alot of them are alot better than people think. As for the cheap thing, I agree with that, because its fight or avoid players who Hadouken or Optic Blast all day, because they really have no other way to fight. If someone loses to an opponent who constantly throws Kikoukens, that person should ask themselvs, "How and why did I lose, and what can I do to prevent it from happening again?"

Earlier today I played Bob Marley4004.

The first round he won and he said GG immediately after that round. Then, the second round I won and immediately after he said "LAG". I was very disappointed in him... considering it was his host anyway. The whole thought of him saying that just lingered over my head in the third round and he beat me... after he won the third round he said GG. No class.

Then I said "so when you win there is no lag but when you lose it was because of lag" but he didn't respond. Typical.

The true person comes out when they lose... not when they win.

You know, all of this can be said 1000 times over and it wont change one damn person. Yeah it may be your opinion, and many other people have the same opinion, but it changes nothing.
Now I'm sure everyone here hates losing, especially if it was a really close game, and there isn't anyone here that will jump around their room excitedly because they lost a match. but some people just feel better about it when they take the blame off themselves and put it on something like "Lag". I think this topic could be in a way theriputic. After having to go through such an experience a player could come in here and share his thoughts and ventilate on what took place(not necessarly revealing his opponents name). There are so much people in this community and maybe after reading this topic one or two people will think twice about being a jerk and ruining a game. i dont always say gg, i only say it if it truely is a good game, as in a battle that went 2 3rd round or when the winner's standing fighter is nearly dead. if i played like crap, then i will admit that they r good and that my game was off, and problably wouldnt ask 4 a re. but if i win then i will usually say gg unless they really pissed me off.

i dont play as much so when i do i usually play lik crap from lack of practice.
