I have been playing SFO for quite a long time. Atleast a year and a half. I'm not very active, and I don't keep up with recent events, but it has come to my attention that SFO seems to be in danger. I really like the game, and I don't want to see it fall. This is why I am offering the only thing I can do. TMY, or whatever your name is, I can offer you a free sub-domain like thing for free, with unlimited space. In doing so, I will be relinquishing my space to build my own site, but I feel that SFO is more important than XD Productions. Please contact me.

Re I think he meant that bandwidth that TMyApp is currently using is getting wasted since the more features he adds to the game and forum=less bandwidth.
And since TMy is losing bandwidth Xero offerd for unlimited bandwidth and in return he gets something for his site.

Um.. It's really nice and great that you want to help the game by forfeiting building ur own website and giving SFO a subdomain.. but common man.. Why would TMyApp reliquinsh his own domain and then go to your own subdomain. Besides.. you can't promise to produce all the space needed to run SFO and not to talk of the bandwidth.. If only you knew how many visits... and not just visits.. but unique visits http://streetfighteronline.com gets every month.

Now I don't know what you mean by SFO being in danger due to domain or subdomain problems.. cause frankly.. it isn't! domain problems are the least on our minds at this point.. :( .. :biggrin:

Of course he would not tell everyone, Blanka. He's not the type to tell anyone anything unless they are directly involved with something, and even then, he won't tell them until a few moments before time is up. But that isn't the point. The point, is that an offer of help has been made. Now the only thing left to do is see whether Tmy will think about considering this offer or not.

Oh, and Blanka, King's right. The big grins are becoming annoying; to me especially, since I know what that hides. If you feel an emotion, then show it. Don't hide your face behind a smile like that: it only confuses and angers people.

Oh my God.. Can you guys just step back and look at this for a second.. Here's a guy who's got a life.. and is trying to produce an online version for a game he really liked growing up..

Now obviously.. with the kind of work ethic or job TMyApp does.. you would think that SFO would definitely not be the top priority on his list when it comes to online activities.. If it were.. then I'm pretty sure we would be having updates every three weeks with events every month and new versions of the game every week.. But it isn't that way.. why?? Cause the dude's got a life! :biggrin:

If you think of it.. you'll see that TMyApp doesn't just give ppl his work or part of it to actually do.. especially when it comes to the game. And for him to trust Lefty in hosting the forum and NoSou4Evr's site.. that's big enough. So you're telling me that he would transfer all these to someone else's subdomain. Even if he's going to transfer the game alone.. I doubt if he'll be able to account for the amount of visits it generates.

Oh and in conclusion.. nice suggestion Roll. I'm definitely hiding all the anger, anguish, pain, disgust, abuse, hatred and love that SFO has given me since I joined the forum with my biggrins.. good show.. :biggrin:

so in the conclusion BLANKA is right... leftyFB is more then capable of hosting this web site of TMYAPP which is way smaller then the game servers which requires every single bit of bandwidth availlable !

i have a friend which has a web site and forum on a T1 server a very fast one.
i asked him during bad times and i'm sure of you will remember me saying something about it.

first thing he ever answered me.
"Sorry can't waste my precious bandwidth for such a big game and community, i would if it wasn't 35,000 hits a day, sorry, can't help him !"

don't know what hapenned to him now a day, but at least i tried back then !

forget it... will never happen since TMYAPP would probably never hands down the game to that guy which wiuld actually be able to modify it.
so i doubt TMYAPP to change his server and hands it down to the guy just to save money !

what costes TMYAPP is the actual ISP he has which simply askes him a lot of money because he is using a lot of bandwitdh. so as i said before... blanka is right, a web page space is the last thing on the DANGER list, everything else comes way before it !

it's not to critise, at least XERO showed support which many other never did !
but let's be realistick here... TMyApp won't accept that since he already has LEFTY handling the web site and forum ! and he does a pretty damn great job at it. so why would he need any more space ?

not to mention that sub domains are stupid in themselves !
its better to have a real domain name then a sub domain !
