it was said that he was the most powerful and strongest fighter there was in the previous XmvssF. no1 could beat him, whoever did tried was executed with no remorse.

from what i heard, he was tougher than tarkanX, and he is the greatest warrior here. i mean, its like the guy is the cronos that couldnt be defeated.

what you people think? does he exist?

i seen a few times back in 2001
yet inever fought him for i didn't knew what XMvsSF was all about...
i seen him in action though, in a tournament in 2002... the VET TOURNEY that was !
he did well... but after it he disappeared, he had already did whent he tourney was coming, i guess someone told him to come and he did !
otherwise he was good, don't know if better then TARK though.
after all no one could defeat THE CLAN DESTROYER back then !

yep, did you knew TARKANX was nicknamed "THE CLAN DESTROYER" back in 2002 ?
why you ask, well because he tested each members of each clans proving to every fliping new clans that they were too weak to actually make a clan, he killed each members of each clans without remorses ! he truly was unstopable and i know for sure that he killed like 5 or 6 clans all by himself !

it was like this, the clan was created, he challenged each members of that clan, weird enough, the clan disbanded !
man, he was my idol back then !

air lock was good....but from what i remember he never beat me :biggrin: Tarkan and him were 1-1 i think from now to present. and TarkanX was the clan destroyer back in the days but he was not unbeatable as you say he was. if ewalk never canceled the damm drunk brawl i would of been the only undefeated fighter in that tournament because i was the only undefeated fighter of that tournament :biggrin: TarkanX lost to me since we were both in the same group....ever since then my luck in tournaments has been hell which is why i don't bother with them anymore.

Ok, I guess I am the one who talked to Airlock the most recent in here.

I fought him around 7 months ago. He was surprised that the game was still alive and surprised I still played. He even asked about TarkanX and Nferno666. He said he was searching for this game for a while as "Xmvssf" and couldn't find it anywhere till finally he added (Online) to his search. He moved to a new house, starting life in a different location. He said he was going to start playing as soon as he gets everything settles, but yet hasn't came back since 7 months back.

But anyways, Airlock was a good fighter. Not the very best ever. My opinion, the only unstoppable force was Mcbeth. LMAO j/k. Eh, you have to give the throne to quite a few people really:

Nferno666: No one has a winning percentage like he has nor do they bring as many wins as he has, yet he is very rusty compared to what he used to be in 2001, 2002. Especially having to play and host chat bots now.

TarkanX: No one has impacted in a big tournament like he has. No one had the skills he held. He combined his arcade play with his (Online) lag play. Making him one of the best SKILLED fighters to play the game. Skill doesn't make you win all the time though in this game. There are those people who just "hadoken" all the time and come up with wins.

fear-tetsuo: Really, in my opinion, this was the unstoppable force at his prime. Did not know how he managed to jump over everything, even with the jump lock added. He managed to stay right behind anyone who tried to attack him.

Strider42: Was a quite skilled fighter. Had a good winning percentage as well.

tupac2westsider: At his prime, he knocked out everyone in his way. He even took out fear-tetsuo's spot. Brought alot of valuable wins when he was in Dark Knights.

LancerPX *cough*: What can you say? I just own. lmao J/K. I don't deserve to be up with any high profile names but I will say, I did manage to keep my skill, well kind of, unlike all these other super rusty people from 2001. Atleast that is something LOL.

The ol' days were good but you know what ppl, forget all this... let's get something new going. Like some major tournaments... something REALLY big for the summer... even bigger than the world warrior tournament. We could even reserve the Global server for the tournament or something.

Besides, the main reason why ppl can't get recognized with tournaments anymore is cause everyone's just hosting crappy arse tournaents like spiderman of the week or some bullcrap. And not to diss any of the tournaments that are being held now, but most, if not all of them are low key tournaments that don't really attract big names.

Why Tarkan X was soo powerful was that he got in the players mind very well, in my opinion, Tarkan is probably the SMARTEST fighter of the game, KINDA like Socrates of XMVSSF/SFO.

Feartetsuo - what I love about that boy is that he was soo aggresive, he always said SMACK but backed it up..most of the time..lol but i always hated it when he says..mess with best..die like the rest..LOL...

Nferno...lol...95% percent of the time..if you fight him..he will beat you. (back then..dont know about now)

Domincan..Respected Skills.., no matter what..your skills always shine, even if you lose sometimes... :P

But its weird...like the un mentioned players are actually the greats..in my opinion...for example...

and at Blanka 09....SFOPL man..just look at that list...BUT I GOT A REALLY GOOD IDEA..welly ou know how Domincan is getting ready to make a big tourney..and iam getting the pro league ready for an Huge tourney..and i think ZPOWER is going to do King of shotos...why dont we combine it into a huge Tournament..each person responsible for some portion of the tournament..like one person for prizes..one person for getting people..and certain people..one person comming up with the format..i hope you get what iam saying..cuz ive made some really fun toureny..and I know how to get the best of the best..domincan knows how to roll with tourneys....i think its a good idea..dont forget..your a mod....youve got the most power..... :colgate:

But this tournament won't be like WWT or any other tournament we have had before. The Champion will have to defend its title, just like TOC, as I am going to make this a semester, or should I say "seasonal", type of tournament. Maybe 3-4 tournaments a year till my head explodes? Just want to spark up things in SFO as my skill won't last forever (well so far it has), plus SFO/XVSSF is what kept me entertained as a youngster at age 14. Now at 18 still playing. So time to contribute, this summer.

Actually, the WWT tournament has a yellow/green or "fools gold" colored type of type of ryu. And I have seen the aqua colored Ryu from DaSuperTrooper. Plus heard rumors about someone having a pearled colored but thats all ####s do nowadays, make up bullpoop rumors, so not believing it.

I can only think of One Player... that no matter how hard i tryed.. i could barely get a hit on.. Asrbettaw.
Not the one that claims he's the Original Asrbettaw, parading around each server getting his assbeat by everyone. But the 'Legendary Asrbettaw".

I mean when i first started playing this game he'd be 'number 1' months at a time..
But then again is the saying "rank doesnt matter" which is true, but in his case this doesnt apply.. i mean.. this guy had a thousand something wins and fewer then 40 losses.

Server Legends (lol) had it, that He supposdly had access to Nasa computers, and those 40 loses came because he took pity on those who were new to the game.

I dont know wat happened to him but apparantly he was banned. I heard, i dont know if this is true, but nferno had like a personal vendetta agaisnt him and banned him (I personally like that one lol). Something else i've heard, was that He was the first of the earlier cases of Speed Gear, So all the admins and mods got together and decided that he had to go. I even heard that it got so bad that he had to be Ip Area Banned. ???

No matter wat the case, Great player or Cheater.. I believe he's legendary in his own right.

well, between both, neferno was way better by then he was always ranked first during the first 3 archives !
with almost no loses...

but i wonder if tarkanx before leaving had finished his 96/123 with that other person he was doing it with ?

I am going to have to disagree with about 60-70% of SBYRD5's list. Mostly because about 60-70% of them have admitted to ME about using speedgear. I don't think anyone who have used speedgear should deserve any type of recognition. Plus, I hear there are still a few ways of STILL using speedgear by adjusting the speed during the game.

Now those fighters on my list have proved themselves that they deserve recognition to become a "great". And Legends as well. Nowadays, you can not become a legend or great after 1-2 years of playing in this game. Especially, like I mentioned, the whole speedgear thing is still around.

The problem about SBYRD5's list is that, not all of them give everyone a hard time in a game. For example, "Player67" could have given this certain person a hard battle, but this other person might have found me easy.

On my list, every single time you have challenged them or they challenged you, you would get a hard battle. They showed consistency, and they proved themselves to be the most dominant fighters to play the game. Now that is what I call being "great".

rank isnt everything my body...well .. it isnt anything just a name plate thats all. Ive beaten rank 1's...too many times to count in my head, rank, wins/losses record do not mean anything to me, you show me your skills and what effort your going to bring into a battle, and i will tell you who will become a legend or not. I for one, am really careless about my games, the only times i put effort into my games is when iam pisssed at the person..or just really..truly, want a legendary battle..most of the time i just test out my other characters against that palyer to see how far i go or how far i achieved that character.

a legend to me is a person who is respected by all.

when he/she is in the battle "field" he/she has full control of the game, the "Aura" of fighting as you say.

a person who gets into the minds of the oppt.

most of all...a person who simply knows how to enjoy the game.

i for one think i have been "blessed" with a gift in this wonderful game..and that is..."come-backs" abdoun = come back king, what i mean by this is that you may think that you may win, but then i have a dramatic come back and i either win..or almost win..but always love those come backs..makes the game..much much more anticipating

ill let you people test it out on me...take away half of my life..and MOST...i repeat..MOST of the time ...youll end up with 75% of your life gone or even more.

so i can't ask you guys to remember the times where the ranking system was clear and good !
people actually tryed to get in it without cheats and cheats were like non-existing back then cause most of the users were between 16-22 and yeah we know since we did poll for that !

for those puttin me on a list... well don't ! i became good in the end of 2002 and even then i became better and better by the times...
i'm far from a legend !

BTW a legend is someone who did something very great and or was unbeatable or else was the top fighters and almost undefeated !
by then look at TOC to see who the top fighters were cause those who won TOC or even where int he top 8 were like undefeated fighters... the tournament actually made them their few loses !

you'll see names like...

AIRLOCK
MANONTHERUN
STEVEN BOL ? (how was his named spelt ?)
and probably others !

I of course havent had the oppurtunity to fight everybody...
Sooo I can't really tell you who's a legend or not...

Since i've been back, i've noticed that some people have gotten a hell of a lot better, for example Jin-Kazama, dont know how, but when i was good (8 months ago before college happened) i was able to beat him, but all of a sudden he's gotten to be almost unstoppable... Same with my brother j-kwon... dont know how, but sometimes ill sit down and watch him play, and he'll win 10-15 games straight against those who are supposedly the best in the game and they accuse him of using speedgear,(i mean if he cheats, that means i cheat, but that would be inpossible since we use the same computer and i suck lol). I personally think, (i'm biased cause, he is my brother) he's top 5 in the game right now... Not rank wise, but skill wise. Thats just my opinion, if you dont believe me youll can fight him and see.

Youll notice i say that air-knight, ryu's invasion, legend, jin-kazama, and my brother, are all good... I mean i just mentioned those names, but there are many good players, not many legends.

I mean a legend to me is a player, that is so good, and soo nice, that if he/she were to leave, everybody would have different stories to tell about them, good or bad. And if that player were to come back he/she would leave whoopings on the youngbloods of the game to teach them how its really done. I mean there can only be a few legends, i cant just pick 50 players (like someone said earlier) and say that they're legends because there good players. Most of those good players (if they arent using SG or some cheat or code) Can be beaten on an ordinary day by anybody, where as a Legend doesnt go down unless YOU ARE using SG or some cheat or code lol. Another Point is that if You're playing right now consistently, You are not a legend. I mean you might be living (playing) a legacy, but you are not yet a legend. Which finally leads me to say this, a Legend has few or no weaknesses.

But, im sure you'll have your own definitons of whos a legend or not.

2. Air-Lock... I've heard Stories
3. THe Legendary Profe$Sor.... I've heard many stories about him.... Some even saying that he later took on the name Asrbettaw..
4. The Real Asrbettaw... He might have cheated, but because he went so long on top the scoreboard before getting caught... and being one of the first ones caught, he makes it on my list.
and Finally..
5. DaSupertrooper..... I mean this guy had to the ability to be good with every single charater in the game... He whooped my once invinicable spiderman with a chunli :eh: . (Dont know if he still plays or not)

No Honorable Mentions.. sorry Nferno666 lol.

See, now that you mention TOC, I am going to have to cry, well not really :p . I got screwed in that tournament! Zing79 made me fight 5 different people in 3 rounds! How is that fricken possible!

With the tournament having a total of 128 people, you cut that down the first round and I would end up in top 64, you cut the second round and I would end up in top 32.

So now I ended up in top 32 losing against to TarkanX at the third round. But I played 2 extra rounds before the 3rd one, which technically means I played 4 rounds to advance to the "official" 3rd round.

Which is what screwed me over. My name kept switching in different directions of the brackets. So it is not like I was actually suppose to fight TarkanX, Zing 79 just kept placing me everywhere in the brackets. I was so confused. But thats what you get for running a huge tournament like TOC on your own.

I could have been top 10. And I was doing really good in my fights even with playing in the pressures of elimination on rounds that didn't have any meaning to it.

I fought good people too:

Round 1:
1. Akuma
2. SSVegeta10

Round 2:
3. silvergo
4. silver-n-gold

Round 3:
5. TarkanX

Confused? Yeah, me too. Those were all my 5 rounds in 3 official rounds. 2001 rocked.

aiight. Last i checked, i made a big switch from spiderman to the other characters. Like Ken if you didn't notice *cough* my sig*cough*

as far as i was a #### back then... i cannot ditch the fact that TOC was the most sucessfull tournament ever created !

the guy to defeat was definitely TARKANX and after toc he was undefeated due to his RED SENTINEL helper !


man do i wish that sentinel back as an helper it would make any sentinel team very strong !

I don't know how many times this has been said, but there ARE NO BEST USERS. I just can't see why no one can see that. Its all a game of luck. Just play for fun, jeez...

fear-tetsuo: Really, in my opinion, this was the unstoppable force at his prime. Did not know how he managed to jump over everything, even with the jump lock added. He managed to stay right behind anyone who tried to attack him.
This is fear-tetsuo posting. Why thank you for the compliments. Things were so different back then, the game was SOOO much more playable then it is now. How did I manage to stay behind people when they would attack me? Easy, because I knew whenever people would do a super so I would superjump right before people would do it. And people were so routine, doing the same moves and patterns all the time which made it easy to fight.

what I love about that boy is that he was soo aggresive, he always said SMACK but backed it up..most of the time..lol but i always hated it when he says..mess with best..die like the rest..LOL...

:) I did love to talk smack. Especially to those losers who would always down talk me and said that I suck. You like my old saying huh? Mess with the best...Die like the rest That was my way of adding alittle more salt to the wound, make the person who I just beat be alittle humiliated.

I would actually really like to play this game again, but since there will never be an old school version(version of the game around december of 2001), I wont be playing this game anytime soon.

Most people don't think i am an vet but is ok. Nice to see you again snuggles. Its black~night. Well when i started to play xmem vs streetfighter, i played for fun and didn't play that much. my users name was romaine01, mega~fighter,mega~akuma and they got banned so i maked black.

Well people said i was a legend( people said that) alot of people asked me how i did the raging demon twice. =/
