Since i first began playing XMVSF Online, i've had alot of fun and alot of laughs, and i've thouroughly enjoyed the game up to this point. But now I find myself playing less because there are not enough ppl to challenge, and might i add i find it really difficult getting the top players to accept my challenges( the average game i play against the top 20 are once every week). I mean every time i ask, they either don't want to play or they only want to play people who are new to the game. THe question i ask is...Should the game be enjoyed by only a few or most of us? Should the top players be restricted to playing other top players? THe answer should be a resounding "NO!" and yet players refuse to listen. Why do u suppose there's only a dozen or fewer ppl to play with? That is because when they ask ppl who arent playing(probably waiting for top players) they refuse to accept the challenge. This game is only as good as the members make it out to be and if it continues its course , i predict that over time, we will see fewer play this game and lately i find myself playing alot less than when i first started. :(

I know where you're coming from, RedPhoenix1. It appears that in the four months that I have been gone, the old, friendly Top 20 has been replaced with a bunch of goons who do nothing but destroy noobs to get their points up (apologies to anyone I know whose in the Top 20, i didn't mean you). I think that its pretty shitty (pardon my French) that people in the top 20 turn down challenges from other players. This is because of one thing: they are afraid that they will get beaten and lose their spot up high. Don't quit on us, RedPhoenix1, because if you do then they will have won.

Just keep trying to challenge them, but whatever you do, don't talk trash when they turn down your challenge 20 times in a row. That would be wrong
are you on
i will play if you let my game load
and y dont ya take a look at Rewind the "clan"

okay, when you get into the top 20, don't turn down challenges like the current top 20 does. (im not saying taht YOU turn down challenges)
when i do, i wont. unless it is some bastard that pissed me off by doing something(most likely a newbie).

Thanks to all the responses you all show alot respect to the hard work that's been put into the game and by making it a better game for everyone.
Jdog i know you'd almost always challenge me or accept my challenge but the ignorant others would not. If more of them were like you, this game would have a chance of improving over time. And as always, i welcome any challenge, seldom rarely do i not accept a challenge ,and im limited to playing who's online. Thanks
First, I would like to state this: There are only 3 reasons why I have ever turned ANYONE down a match REGAURDLESS OF MY RANK (this is referring to after my newbie period of the game....)
1. I am chating and haven't turned on DND yet.
2. WAY TOO MANY NEWBIES HAVE BEEN CHALLENGING ME,(this happened to me recently and my fighting abilities went down the toilet) so I stop accepting matches from as many newbies.
3. I have already promised someone else a fight who is in the chat room.
With that said, I accept your challenge/anyone elses challenge any time, server, host, mode. I am also dissapointed with who the the higher ranked members fight, but it's their right (this does not mean ALL high ranked members). My advice to you is openly challenge them on the tournament/challenges forum.

Have any of you learned yet?!?!?! rank doesnt matter, its just about people fighitng and beating up n00bs to get points, if you want to challenge someone, challenge good people like me, nferno, tmyapp, lefty, zing... or a few others. those people wont fight you, but if you beat the good players, then theyll know your a real threat to them.... they will still know your better than them, and besides, you might meet them in a tournament and finally fight them. If your first, so what, your not the best.

Yea, great point Tark. When I first came here, I didn't know about lag, so people were at high ranks, and everytime I lost I would say that if their rank was lower I would have a better chance. But after all the experiences I learned that rank don't matter, and now I know that who's better then me.

I think this game should take an idea from Battle Zone 2. i think this game shouldn't have a high score and just do a word of mouth thing.

everyone does realize the top scores are also in beta format?
things are being tested to see what works...
Tmy hasn't tried anything new since he's been a little busy lately (chun, update after update)
but the top scores are prolly the last thing on his list right now..
he may try something different with that, when hes not busy doing other more important things for the game.
Enough guys Tmy is busy just like Zing79 says...
