An idea just came ..will it save xm vs sf? - What do u think

we all know the possiblities of xm vs sf online going down cause of money. but what if tmyapp u could contact the companys. capcom and whoever the other is. they probably dont know about this and if they do im sure they dont know its a big hit. maybe they'd be willin to pay for us to keep the game on. what da ya think?

There is no way capcom or any other major corp. would host this game for free.
There are major possibilities for them to make money off a game like this...and they would. ;)

well first off TMy had to contact capcom about starting this game otherwise he'd be sued! because he didn't create his own sprites.. he can't make a profit cuz he'd be sued!! and the game isn't finish it is just a demo so why would he give it away?

LOTS of people does it. look at gamegen.com, do you think they asked the authors of the games to rip their sprites ?

and second, an idea like that almost came thru by raydon (is it spelled that way ? ) that was about the fact he knew someone at SQUARESOFT and the guy was like accepting to help with the server and give us a certain connection and web space on it !

but again, for some reason that are evident, TMYAPP said no to the offer !
i ask you this, why would it be different capcom ?
and nosoul is right, if capcom see this and accept, they'll probably want it and simply do it their way, which is good in a way, think they'll fix lots more bug in a week then tmyapp can in the same time !
anyway, the very bad point of it is the money they will ask to play !

the best way right now is the donations !
and seeing how VIPs appears, i'm sure tmyapp is gonna have lots of cash to keep this thing up and running for a while !

Well considering we only have 8 or 9 VIP's...I am positive that "we" did not donated enough cash to cover the expences of ONE server for a month. Never mind any of the other servers. (kinda depressing huh?)

Well the games a little over a year old...and if you do a search for "X-Men" on any of the major search engines ...this site comes in #1 in the search....so odds are....yeah, some one from their corp. has seen or heard about the game and it's development.

Are they mad?....Not yet.
If they were...we wouldnt be here right now.

this game is like BFP was about 3 years ago !
BFP = BID FOR POWERS (Q3A MOD)
the real name was DBZ : BFP and it was a very promising mod.
the companies themself knew the existence but did not care about it.
then one day, about 2 years and a half later.
the same compagnies (aka funimation, infogramme, bandai) took steps to close the thing.
why did it took three years to do so, is the fact the MOD started LITTLE (like this one when it came out)
but finished with a very great and promising gameplay.
the sus-mentionned company took fear when they THOUGHT the game would be making money of it !

i compare them to this game, we are living the exact same thing.
meaning, the game started little and of no real concern, but seeing how the game has became in a single year. i will say that CAPCOM can STILL decide to try and shut TMY down ! if they simply did not up until now, is simply because they think it is of no concern !

sorry to have made you think about this eventuality and I too don't want it to happen.
but this game is still young and when it will grow up more and more,
it is by then that the company will try their best to shut it down !

let's just hope it will never happen !

BFP is still very much alive !
they just got rid of everything that happenned to be DBZ and did the TC anyway !
and yes and no...
they shuted it down, not because they though it would make money. but because it was to be very popular and bandai said no, because in infogrammes thing, they would had bough it and maked it on their own ! they thought it was just brilliant !

anyway, this is not about BFP, it is all about this online game !
i said that because i think it can happen to TMY too.
for my part i don't expect CAPCOM to really do anything about it !
i mean, look at all those MUGEN games that came out with their characters in it !
ok, they aren't any good, but still...
i don't think CAPCOM will be shutting this game, that's not their style !
