How many people have done this? - Reigned at no. 1 with shotoken fighters.

I am wondering how many people have gotten to the no. 1 slot. (andheld it for a decent amount of time) without using any kind of crutch whatsoever. Just pure skills, no marve| chars, no gayclops, no sent, no spidey, no cheapo tag schemes, no vip perks, no speed hacks, none of that.

Basicaly i am asking, who has been the last REAL shotoken fighter to hold down the top slot? i know when i first started Dj eric was the man. I remember fighting his ryu when i was #### and he seemed pretty sick to me. Did he do it? Did anyone? Because i plan to do it once i figure out how to stop the game from counting half my wins as losses.

i havent been rank yet on sfo...i was rank 2 for a whole week but that geek Air warriors was giving himself free wins.

I think if I try, I can go back to the number 1 spot. but people barely play 1 on 1 non tag anymore. It is mostly tag which pisses me off.

yeah i know, i look at luis quinones record...if i had the time i would go look at the rankings leaderboard for that one name alll the way in the back somewhere with 1.6k losses and like 3 wins, heh. i dont even remember seeing that name around before he was no.1 i dont even remember seeing that name around having less that 1.5k wins. /shrugs.

I got to number 1 with cyc|ops before. I wasn't cheap, and I wasn't using stupid speed gear. I got there legit with a professionally played cyc|ops. but rank doesn't matter. It used to be fun to get back then but now its just a race to see who can play longer than the other people. I also think I got there 1ce with cunli, or wolver

Well when I recently came back I achieved rank 3 with ryu, i would have been able to get to rank 1, unfortunately the person who was at rank 1(black_knight) did not give me any fights due to the basis of our previous fights, which he lost, so his confidence was down so he chose not to fight me but ignore me, shame really he may have beaten me. Although Imagination an old skool player from 2001 did achieve rank 1, and he was solely a ryu user, amazing how he did it in a short amount of time as well, he is a top 10 ryu user definately in the history of this game, although very cocky lol.

i try to be rank 1 but peoplle that face me always pic spidey and i can't beat him easily its like a hard time to beat him for me *sigh but if everynoe in the game was a ryu user i would of went to rank 1 easily... but iguess life is not fair..most of the time i face ryu users,, and dats more of a good gameplay for me.. :)

btw and limbie usee how u are vip now i bet u were a better user before u used ryu thats why i don't want to be a vip really much

but on the whole, vips r for as what TMy said those who r really interested in the game n wanna try out the special evil characters
even if your a vip, u can opt out by using the Different Caps size of yer name to become a norm again... eg. u r vip with blanka09 use Blanka09 n u r a norm again
so not much diff really
n being a vip u can help keep the game free for all so y not?
