Troy/ryu/ken -- what is the connection? - Storm is cheap? ryu and ken sucks?

Storm's bitch, if you're going to complain about storm's multiple grabs, which allows you a chance to tech-hit out of, you might as well whine about zang's 360 degree super that takes off over 60 percent of your life, or how Magneto can a double grab after a super. This post is intented for only Troy, and of course, public humility. so saying that this perons sucks and that person sucks is irrelevant. I never once said, in my lengthy post, that Troy sucks. I have played him countless times, and i know how he fights, so i know what i'm talking about.

By the way, ANYONE who wants to reply to this post, PLEASE have the coutesy to read the whole post. otherwise. you're just rambling your mouth off about something you have no idea about,since you won't know what i'm talking about.

First of all, her grab combos are just one of SEVERAL reasons why I think she's cheap. Yes, you can tech hit out of them, but it's a bit difficult to time when there's a one second delay on all of your moves. People that play it online know that, and take full advantage of it. Yes, you can do some cheap combos with almost ALL of the characters, I know this. But I'm not as concerned about Storm's combos as I am with tactics that certain Storm users use. Take you, for example. You say you don't like Marvel vs. Capcom 2 because it's a distance battle, and it's too easy to do chip damage while playing keep-away. Well then what the hell do you call your strategy with Storm? The whole round, all you do is fly off the screen and do typhoons and charge your super meter. Then, after you've won at the end of the round with nothing but chip damage, you gloat about your 'skill.'

You're fighting style is limited to the Ryu/ Ken type of fighting, which is too old, therefore, predictable. It follows the same trite pattern that has been played over and over again, ever since the original street fighter 2. You throw a fireball; I throw another fireball to block it. You jump kick. I do an upper cut.

I know exactly what I'm getting into when I fight you when you're Storm, so how the hell is she any less predictable than Ryu/Ken/Akuma? I know that as soon as the round starts that you are going to fly off the screen with either a super jump or a couple lightening attacks, then once you're a safe distance away, you're going to mash HP to charge your super meter like some idiot n00b. Then if I try to get close, you'll use a typhoon or tornado column to try to push me back. The difference between your cheap strategy and the tactics you described above for Ryu and Ken is, you do the same thing the entire round, no matter what. :colgate:

Storm isn't cheap, it's just the players that make her cheap, she's stop tier for a very good reason, range, speed, priority, flight, great ass infinities, etc....

I give great accord to your topic. But, don't try to turn everything on Zangief. There is no way you can say that Zangief has an advantage because he can't be tech hit out of his grabs, mainly because of how you described it.....360 degree special. I just wanted to clarify that it is much harder to play with Zangief because of his speed and difficulty in pulling off his best moves (plus, he's is not the best combo-er, although I have developed a few good ones). Anyway, your topic is absolutely correct, I just want to point out that Zangief and Storm cannot be compared based soley on their grabs.

Hm....since you guyz are talking about *cough*fba*cough, Zangief is hard to use with a dam keyboard...the only thing you can do with him is twirl like a dumbass and TRY to gain level. Without joypad you can't play him that well.

Mainly as troy described....using storm that way is just as cheap as low punching all game in xmvssf online lol. I play people who use bison/mag/storm....so they can fly around like dumbasses, but if your fast enough to superjump, without him trying to use typhoon/tornado column, just kick him and start being cheap with the shotos and corner his ass, then bust come air combos, sticking to storm is your best choice...cuz if he tries to fly on you, just kick her.

The strategy don't alwayz work..if you're a proffessional cheap storm user....you pretty much can't be stoped.

and zangiefs cool, u turn him into 'mech' then switch and use the grab assist :D
