I've been running a little independant study of my own the last couple days, and alot of you people who claim to be paragons of virtue are huge hypocrites.

Over the last little while Ive been playing as various different players, WOOL-V, ZingW are two of the examples, and just going at it as a player if I chose to. The entire time I've played as wolverine, and wolverine only, and heres the end result 83% of the time...I win the first match (and you bitch about my corner tactics), you win the second match, and its good-bye..NO rematch...and you mouth off to me in the chat if I even dare try to challenge you again. There are different versions of that, but the outcome is the same; 83% of the time. You want nothing to do with me because of my "cheapness"...

Some of u ppl have become so attached to ryu, you have no concept of balance. How in the #### do you expect wolvie to play?...sit there and eat your fireballs?
Of course he's going to corner you, and try to beat the living #### out of you...IT IS NOT a cheap tactic! Thats how you play with a character without a projectile.
Anyone here actually play as Zangief, E Honda, T Hawk (pick any bastard without a fireball) in the SF2 series?

The reason 83% percent of you are hypocrites, is because when you challenge me (Zing79), you dont have a problem with rematch, after rematch. Im not saying its a points thing either, more than likely its because I play as ryu.

ppl, (and you know who you are), stop thinkin its cheap, if you cant find a way around it, its a sign of your poor skill, not of the other guys cheapness.

and to these same ppl, try playing the game ryu against ryu without throwing a single hadoken, and you'll see why you need to corner somebody.

I can see it now, when the game if fully finished any person who plays as a character who doesn't have a projectile will be cheap!

I remember 2 weeks ago, ppl wouldn't shut up about how wolvie was useless, and always got his ass kicked. Now that hes been tweaked to the point where he can be used by anyone against anyone, and he stands a chance of winning, you guys call it cheap...

Make up your #### minds!

I fight with wolverine 100% of the time. You are right that everytime I win people call me a cheater or cheap or lucky. I tell them, "You play as wolverine and try not to corner someone".

The reason most Ryu players get cornered anyways is cause they are trying to get as far back from wolverine as possible so they can fireball/power beam them to death, and I guess thats not cheating?

I've fought matches agaisnt lag monsters with what seemed like 10 million hit points, people that put out so many fireballs I couldnt stop blocking and others that plain just beat me and I never accuse them of cheating. I wont rematch with people that appear to be teleporting all over (when I start kicking or hitting and all of a sudden they are behind me) cause no sence in taking that abuse for nothing.

To those people that play Ryu - if you get cornered its your own fault, if you were better at playing Ryu it wouldnt happen. Plenty of Ryu players can avoid my corner tatics so in my opinion its not cheating.

i don't know about you..,but the idea of being able to trap your opponent into a corner with a move that won't stop(you can just keep pressin punch and the barrage will last forever)and they can't move is grade A cheapass! wolvie's barrage should be faster instead of slow continous assault.

its not as if he cant be beaten..some guys can avoid that trap rather easily...TarkanX for one beat me repeatedly when I had wolvie.

but look at it from the perspective of someone playing as wolvie.
his super jump isn't as high as ryus, and he has no projectle. Imagine if you were playing as him, and someone used the fireball to beat you down. You would feel that was just as cheap..

thats what I was talking about when I said it has to be like that for balance sake...

but trust me I do see you point, I just happen to have experienced the other side of the coin too :)

ive played with wolvie too yes it is hard with no projectials but i could beat my opponents into the corner easliy with berserker barrage on my first try with wolvie..i felt pretty cheap doing it cause it just was'nt that challenging .

i'm with Zing79 on this one...

since i play as Logan 100% of the time as well (although for me, its more of a "testing" experience to see what else i can tweak about that bastard) i know exactly what he is talking about...

only one dif, no one dares to say in my face that i'm "cheap", but, i know what they are thinking :biggrin:

face it... there are 2 ways to play with Logan... get u'r ass kicked, or get em into the corner and beat the crap otta' em...

and you know what, they shouldn't even DARE to complain, Ryu is STILL stronger in this game, and because of Lag, its very hard for me to blance him out with Logan...

So I use Ryu all da time.

it seems dumbed down a bit, like its harder to do now then when you first implemented it...

tmyapp, i think if you took out the healing factor, and put in Weapon X, it would make them more fair... and barage is supposed to be a fast move, but its not supposed to dmg like it is now... if you made wolverine faster, a little less powerful, and gave him weapon X he wouldnt have to be so "cheap", and he would be alot more equal... especially since weapon X goes through projectiles

OR, you could keep the healing factor in, and just increase its recovery rate...at 8% its useless, but if you increased it, that would make him hard as #### to beat. If he could heal back the damage you caused him through a super, you would be forced to do more than just throw fireballs to charge up your hadoken super.. :biggrin:
