Nintendo is my all time fav. game company, they made the NES(2nd best system IMO) and SNES(best system IMO). They're only problem was the N64 which I didnt like, but the gam cube is going to make it somewhat better...

THe game cubes a definate improvement and way better than the PS2 right now it's the most advanced system on the planet. Now nearly anything is possible they've even squezed the technolagy of the N64 into the game boy advanced! seriously it even says on the box 64 bit technolagy(don't think I spelled that right.) Oh yes @$$hole you're so right. not all systems can be a rip off of a regular computer dressed as a game system with a big green X across the top. and lets not forget the fact that they sell better because lets see thig graphics and length of the games whats that word again...oh that's right.. SUCK! People only buy the other 2 systems because they have additional features that their kids and their kids can use like the playstation 2 dubing as a CD player and a DVD and the the X-box being a CD player and being able to connect to the internet with a built in modem do you see any online games for it no because they just make the system and take their time after words. while the people at nintedo slave away at their jobs working tier lessly to make good games worth remembering don't gwt mw wrong PS2 is good and so waas the Dreamcast they put an effort into it. But X- Box is basicly a computer on it's side with the whole system devoted to playing a game have you noticed that all the X-box games are meirly computer games that are now or were planed to come out for the computer but instead came out for the X-box because they could make more money that way? Your right asshole, but you think X-box is as good a PS2? ps2 has WAY better titles than x-box, and GC is so bad, that they had to lower their prices because no one was buying it. And GC (I just want to point out) is creative what so ever.....wtf is up with all these damn marios (mario64, marioparty, mariocart, marioparty2, marioparty3, mariocube, mario puzzles, mario tetris) I mean DANG think up of something more that mario. And as for X-box, you think that their titles can even match from the PS2, But I admit...the X-box has better graphics and all, but even with all those, it still can't match up to the PS2, because with PS2 you WILL be able to play online with other players, PS2 has the BEST titles you can imagin, and they got games for everyone.

if you go hardware on a console here is the orders in wich they goe's...

XBOX (???bit)
GAME CUBE (???bit)
PS2 (either 64bit or 96 but it's definetely under 128)
DREAMCAST (128bit)
GAMEBOY ADVANCE (32bit)

xbox is the best console ever from now a day, but the GC is better considering it's on MINI-CD (300MB each) compared to the DVD who has about 4,5GB. now with that in mind, i would say GC is the best console !

X-Box didn't get very far in japan, people didn't really love it in the first place. but Microsoft did come back there with more things and then it succeeded !

gamecube won all in the first day !

PS2 was out a year before the other console and it was a big hit but then the games weren't as strong as the other console ! but since it went out a year before the other then it is still in the competion cause people have already a PS2 !

those 4 console are great and have their advantage over the others, but if you compared the hardware of those 4... you notice that PS2 is not the highest console it is almost identical to the dreamcast, who is 4th in position !

marketting made the PS2 that strong nothing else !

if it weren't for the DVD player, i dont think the PS2 would be in the competion by now !

and for the ONE who said XBOX sucks, have you ever played games on it ? they are better than PS2 (at least some of them) then you said they had no titles that were good... tell me something...

you won't DOA3 on that #### of PS2 cause it simply wont fit (too much detail and the processor who process the whole thing is way too slow)

Moving back to the original topic, I'm just gonna say I didn't know when the game started. I'm just glad it went where it went! I mean, from the first game (Street Fighter) to MvC2, the graphics improved indefinitely, more characters were added, which made the game better (e.g. Akuma, Sakura, Cody, Rose). And then they teamed up with various other fighting game creators to make even better games. All in all, I like everything about each fighting game, because I can use it to solve problems between my brother and I, while still having fun. ....You're welcome, Lancer.

I'm sorry for the double posting, before I ignored zero and his rambling on, but then I read what he posted. X-box, a CD player with a modem? OH NO NO NO NO, my friend...

Pros:
The Best Graphics out there (a bonus in my opinion, not a complete factor...)
Hard drive save, which includes saving information and songs on CDs. (also saves on memory cards, but not CDS, which have too much memory)
Cd player
DVD player
HDTV capabilities
Broadband and modem internet hookup while PS2 has only modem, I think.(see internet access)
Multiple link-up (links up to for and more with cable and/or port hub)
Internet access (xbox live) coming this fall
Progressive scanning for games and DVD player (something that PS2 and Gamecube both do not have, which almost eliminates skipping)
Four controller ports (while PS2 only has two)
Halo. period (the best console FPS to date in my and most magazines opinion; was also rated game of the year)
50,000 blocks of Hard Drive space (more than enough to save many, many games)
There is much more that I can't think of also, but I WILL post it.

Cons:
Bigger controller (minor problem)
Have to buy remote control for DVD player
Smaller game repetiour (I hope that's how you spell it) than PS2, but it is a New system, so that is expected.
Not much more.

The "computer" games on X-box and the games to come:

Splinter Cell (MGS2 killer when it comes out), Hunter: The Reckoning, Amped (play your own music on this), Halo (BEST... CONSOLE... FPS... EVER.), Soul Caliber 2 (oh, yeah the best fighting game ever; will be on PS2 and Gamecube also) Dead or Alive 3 (impressive gameplay with absolutely GORGEOUS graphics), Metal Gear Solid 2, FFXI (maybe) and FFXII (definitely), Blood Omen, Baldur's Gate, GTA 3 (possibly), Rallisport Offroad Challenge (play your own music on this one too and is a really great racing game), JSRF, WWF: RAW. Outlaw Golf (mixing hicks, strippers, fighting and other characters with golf. SWEET!!), Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (with a lot more than the original), THPS 3, THPS 2x, World Series Baseball, NBA 2K3,Gunvalkyrie (sleeper that IGN gave a 9.0 and Xbox magazine gave a 9.1), Elder Scrolls: Morrowmind III (kickass RPG), 007: Nightfire (going to be awesome), PROJECT EGO (only a code name to the most impressive game, graphically and hopefully playwise EVER), and many many more games to come. Oh yeah, most will eventually be online playable. What do you think about Xbox now, huh?

I like Gamecube almost as much as the next person, but, c'mon people, give the other system it's dues. Yes, I have a PS2 for people who think I am some stupid, non-informed X-box maniac that only likes X-box for it's graphics.

asshole: you have one point. The Xbox is more high-tech than the GC. But..... although the Xbox sold better than the GC in the US, it did not sell well globally. The GC sold much better in Japan and Europe than the Xbox. Im pretty sure the GC has made more sales.


Urban Ninja: Did you notice that Nintendo annouced the price drop AFTER the other companies did?? Nintendo only lowered the price because they wanted the GC to still be the cheapest system. If it stayed at 200, it wouldnt sell nearly as much as the xbox and ps2. It has nothing to do with how much theyve SOLD. it has do with WHAT THEY WILL SELL.

yes, SF1 did start everything. I love MvC2, so Im glad this came out. Also, If anyone would want to play it, its on a complilation system called ultracade, which is at most arcades.
