Atari Jaguar was the 1st 64 bit machine, it looked more like a 32 bit machine though...

I thought is was only 12-bit but if it was 60 bit then then must have over looked that extra graphic possibility. :baaa: And yeah all the Pac-man/Ms./Baybe pacman Games were born on the Atari. Hey any of you played the game called warriors? ??? :sleeping: :yinyang:

ZeroEna: did you ever played great games in that console ?

i can name lots of game who showed more than 12bit !

Fight For Your Life was on CD and was the first real 3D fighting game played on a console... virtua fighter came almost exactly at the same time !

club driving really showed more than 12bit.

other than that are.
kazumi ninja, checkered flag, tempest 2000, raiden

yeah they all could have been done on snes or on PSX who came out something like 5 years after that ! but at that time the technologie wasn't there so it WAS the Console who started the real 3D games in the first place !

kazumi ninja wasn't that great but it sure was over 32bit.
raiden wasn't good either but again was over 32bit.
tempest 2000, what can i say, even the computerized version of the game wasn't graphical like that ! (i have it)

but the console was made by atari and people didn't liked atari much, and most of the games were oldies remake ! so the console got pushed out of the way easily !

I havent played it, but ive heard of it. According to EGM, it was......

the 3rd worst game ever made.

I wont put the whole description, but Ill put a little to give you an idea:

Graphics:1 out of 10

If the Jaguars supposed to be 64 bits, then this games makers used 60 of them for crap and four for someone to step in the crap and spread it around with their shoe.

Fun:0 out of 10

Stepping on a nail during a seminar about hydraulic-pump insurance is more fun than this electronic junk.

Contribution to Jaguars Failure:9 out of 10

Consoles fail for subtle reasons, like bad marketing or sunspots. But it was bad games that failed the jaguar, which didnt really fail hard enough. If any of the people still responsible for the jaguar still have their homes, there is no justice in the world.
(Remember, this is from EGM, not me)

EGM, saying something like that ?

i remember when it came out...

true there was no real promo, but the games
were very cool and actually used more than 4bits !

Tempest 2000, they used about 32bit for the game and 32bit for the music !

kasumi ninja,
graphics = 7 / 10
sounds = 5 / 10
i would say almost all game were like that !

if they really did say something like that, then i'll reply with something like this...
PLAY THE DAMN GAMES BEFORE FLAMING IT !

the console was definitely worth the little money it costed !

man now a day the console cost all above 200$
jaguar = about 80$
Gameboy = about 50$

what happen with all the low-cost console !
that just make me sick...

oh well, i never played the FFYL on jaguar, but i did saw some images of it ! i will say one thing about it ! VIRTUA FIGHTER, they are the one and the same !
