After reading the "does anyone still post from 2001" thread, I noticed a few ppl started telling their "story" of SFO. I don't know about all of you, but I really enjoy reading those. Just to hear what ppl were thinking during different matches, or who they fought, how they got into the game, who's their rival, etc..etc...I love that stuff.

So last week I thought....hey....why not have someone write their history once in a while?

Every so often one SFO "great" will tell his tale. It may be long....or really long. Longer the better :sly:

Many of these stories will be much like TarkanX's Final Statement (http://nferno666.sytes.net/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=5857) he wrote last year.

After reading, feel free to post your comments.

[color=#000000]I guess I should start by telling everyone how I even found the game. One day my mother surprised me with a new computer and I set it up right away and got my internet connected. I started playing little flash games such as, di ferent styles of pacman, asteroids, etc etc. Then I got bored one day and started looking for either an adventure, fighting, or shooting game. There was no game i neither adventure or shooting that interested me, but in fighting there was little short games of King O fighters (where you fight only one round) and then there was

I remember that Brawl for All. I had the pleasure of being Lancer's 2nd victim in that thing...

I also remember beating him 2 out of 3, but because he'd won the first match, I had to let him advance (lucky bastard.. it was best out of 1 match). I suppose that's what I get for always having the other guy host first.

1)I was viewing your link and saw AXE post....well for you to know he died in late 2002....he killed himself.......*Dead serious* it was something I kept to myself...for along time.......*sigh* he really liked alot ofusers really....he flammed because he wanted to be accepted....just about how you are lancer...you want respect and you flame and wonder why you don't recieve respect....then there are a few moments you actually deserve respect such as now...seems to be a cycle...

2)Wrestlemania, was the 4th user to assist me in the forum by allowing me to join his forum.At the time the he/she craze had just accord...

I recall seeing screenshots of MSN chat proving he was a guy.

I couldn't really insult him at the time he invited me to skate919's forum.The dragonfly forum I did reports on sports illustrated swimsuit issues and basic issues...

He showed me a great amount of respect even though I was new to my surroundings...it's a shame you treated me good to man....but you don't remeber...that all changed...

When you started calling me gay one day...saying I made fun of partygurl or something...don't know why you did that......=/

Also, maybe I don't remember because I did not care about that weak clan. It is part of my history that I wished was forgotten.

He left a day or two after the clan was made. It's true though, when you were in the clan we were weak, but when you left we became one of the best.

I remember fighting Fear Tetsuo when he sucked and was just a ####ie. XD He later improved to kick a lot of ass..but then he fell to the villain of lag, and later became known as FearLag or sumshiznit.
Now how did i become the villian of lag? I had the same cable internet the entire time I played this game. My internet and computer specs never changed. but for some reason when i sucked people said i barely lagged. but then when i became good, my lag was so horrible. Now how does that work out? Kinda weird huh? Ah yes, the good ol' lag excuse, gotta love using that when you dont want to admit to why you really lose.

Well here goes nizothin'...

..Alright, I got my cable on SePt. 29th, of 2001. The day I got my cable, I was soooo damn excited, I downloaded songs like Crazy (My first songs I downloaded was by Ludacris on Cable, not that it matters), and then I was also Playing shockwave(.com) and Java games like crazy, but I wanted more Action and no Trial Versions, so I looked for like Paintball Games, Wrestling Games online and also fighting games (hoPing to find something sweet.) Found nothing, so I started tyPing in Video game names, and tyPed in Street Fighter, because it's tha first game I ever Played and been in love with it, even before I moved to America and even before I knew anything about tha STORY or tha movies(I thought it was just a Video Game hit.. didn't even think there was a story behind it.. but heyy.. which kids thinks about that at tha age of like 6 or 7), and with no hoPes at all, I found this. It said "Street Fighter Shockwave Video Game", and I clicked on tha Main Page Link and checked out tha forums first(didn't know what a forum was, so didn't make much sense to me), so then I clicked Start, and then Frame 1, and it started downloading.. I was soo concerned that I was gonna get Charged for this shlt (Hey Maybe On tha Main Page TMyApp should have it say "FREE!!!!"), but anyway, I thought I was gonna be charged, but I gave it a try anyway, cuz my Dad would've Paid for it.. heh. Tha Game loaded uP and instead of choosing Player, I signed uP under "Z WaRRi0R" because that was my screen name at tha time and I was a BIG DBZ Fan, bigger than Nantuko Joe ever was and I went into tha server (Can't remember which one it was.. or which worked) and then saw PeoPle chat around a bit, and then I saw tha button that says "quick game". So I clicked on someone?s name and hit Quick Game and tha game started loading uP and then I chose Ryu and totally got my ass kicked, cuz I didn't know which buttons to hit.. I was like hitting Arrows and numbers hoPing one would do something.. but I hit them all and didn't take long to figure out how this game works. I'm sorry I don't know who my first challenge was, but I got my ass brought to me in a Package. And then I went to tha chat and kept "Quick Gaming" tons of PeoPle, and kePt losing, and I believe when I checked toP scores, PaMaLiO was first, and I was like 300 something.. and I had like 3 wins and like 5 losses.. and then my brother kicked me out of tha room, cuz it was school nights, so I shut off this game. So much for first day huh?

but then after that, I tried to Play this game, I Played.. and kePt losing n shlt, so I didn't really Play much, and besides.. something like 2 days before I found this game, I had bought "CaPcom vs. SNK 2" so I didn't really Play this game much at all.. I actually think I didn't Play till like November or December or something.

but once I came back, I checked tha toP scores and I was in tha 1000's and I was uh oh.. gotta go beat uP more PeoPle since I can name any move from SF by heart and learned tha history n shlt, it was REALLY easy for me to get used to this game.. so my scores being soo low.. I made a new name "Warri0r", and then fcuked around on that name for a bit, and kePt losing to good PeoPle.. I remember fighting PaMaLiO, and him beating me suPer easy and saying "C'mon man, you can do better than that", so I asked him to teach me, if he could and he said he would.. and he taught me like how to do tha moves, when to call out your helPer n stuff, and I really got used to tha game so I went out and made a new name "asshoie" with a caPital 'i', because it told me asshole (with an l) was taken, but I guess it wasn't, even after 2 years I made it.. (cuz someone made it to fuuck with me..)
Anyway, then I really got into this game, and started actually fighting to get first. And it took me like weeks to finally understand everything, and to find out like they have tourneys n stuff here too, and TarkanX has like a sPecial helPer and all that shlt. So my goal was too talk to Tarkan and train with him, and that's exactly what I did.. and I came close to beating him MANY times.. and I thought to myself that I?m Pretty good.. and then I asked many PeoPle to fight me and I even asked KKS(remember that.. when I said I gotta test something out and I beat you 1st round and said "go ahead beat me uP now"?) hehehe.. well anyway, and than I started owning PeoPle, and it killed me to see me get killed by lag. me and my brother both got into it (my brothers 5 years older than me.. doens't care for comPuters or anything.. he's a car freak, and starting this year a Stunter(bike stunts) and hangs out with StarBoyz, since they are from around here.) Anyway, my brother would tell me to go Play this game or whatever, so he can watch TV(we only have 1 TV in this room, cuz of tha comP). That gave me a reason to REALLY get into this game, and then like soon after this game became my life, I stoPPed hanging out with friends, I came home and went straight to tha comPuter to Play this.. (man this game does that).. and started being really good, and with more helP of Tark, I became first, but only stayed first for like a day, cuz I had to go to a Party, and came back to see Pakistani be 1st and someone 2nd and me 3rd, so then I really got on my winning spree and started kicking ass to become first, and when yer first everybody wants a Peace, so it was easy to stay 1st(cuz I won) but anyway, that also gives opportunities to meet PeoPle, so I became PoPular sorta fast. Me and Pakistani and J dogg would beat ass.. like a Trio! And then I got to know/beat Mods and became friends with tha ones that were here. And Me and NoSoul4evr even tried to hold a Tourney, but he couldn't be here, and I didn?t wanna go thru it with myself, so from like tha 160 that registered, only like 20 showed uP, total disaster, and that's around when I got out of this game. but still had love for it (still do).. And became a Forum Junkie, and here I am now, still tha same.



And yes I've left a lot out, like when I was really resPected,when2on2 came out, new chrs came out, or how i'm a chamPion of tha world, and TMyApp still hasn't given me my title ;], but who really reads this? so this is like tha outlook on my first day and tha rest.. about how I am and stuff. if someone really wanted I could Post tha rest, but it's similar to everybody else?s!

Aight people. You wanted to know who mastaq aka Dark Masta is. Im feeling good right now. So Im gonna try and keep this in the best order that I can. I can remember a lot about other people. but I cant remember much about my time here. Except all the friends Ive had. So here we go. I started playing this game back in mid-March 2002. Thanks to my brother Dark_Warrior07. If it wasnt for him I wouldnt be the figure in this community that I am now. When I first started playing. I looked at the top 10. I first sought out all the top rankers. At first I cared for rank. Then some time after it didnt matter. The highest rank Ive attained to this day would be 3. I first fought a bunch of ####!es. Then I got my butt handed to me by one TarkanX. I had respect for him from the start, no doubt about it. My next loss to a vet would be from Nferno666. My computer I had back then was a lag monster. He beat me the first round. The second round I won because of extreme lag. The 3rd round I found out how to use the lag to my advantage to beat him. but I didnt take that route. I accepted that he was better than me. And I let him beat me. Because with that lag at the time he far surpassed me. Around some time in April me and Zeroena became friends. Soon to be friends with Roll. Along with other people like Thug_Angel. but a good friend I havent seen in a while would be Ryan Conn. On April 3rd 2002 was my debut on the official forum. I was new to forums in general. Where as today I am pretty knowledgable with them. I started to act like a ####!e. but not too bad. AsshoIe started to befriend me and show me around. Then a week later was when, me and KidKrazySh!t would butt heads for the first time. I made a challenge to bLaCkRaNgEr. I tryed to take them over. When I first heard of clans. I tried to make my own at the official forum. Called the Hard Killing Machines. but it didnt do so well. So then I took on the Power Rangers myself. THis all was before I knew of SenshukenTaiKai mind you. So I beat bLaCkRaNgEr. but he wouldnt step down as leader. So I was ridculed by KKS and a few others. I naturally defended myself and all other ####!es at this point. Me and Zeroena began a short lived crusade to help out our fellowbrethren. All was new to me at this point in time. I tried to make a name for myself in the servers over the coming weeks. At the middle of May 2002. I was decently known. I was starting to post at SenshukenTaiKai pretty actively. I was already the co-leader of the famed Dark Knights. We were a force to be reckoned with. Me, tupac2westsider(in his prime), !(DARKVIRUS)! aka Da Prototype aka (((Virus))), Shinjuko aka 2000warrior, and a few others I cant remember at the current time. By this time around people were so psyched out about the coming SoF(Survival of the Fittest) Tourney hosted by Lordcyris and AsshoIe. This out of any tourney to date had the most signups. This tourney had the potential to be the best tourney ever. but do to poor management of it. It failed. This is where the Weekly Tournies started. TarkanX officially started them. but MVC2Sucks came up with the idea months earlier. Not many tournies went down at the time. So me and 2000warrior started talking about starting a few. He made his CCF(Chun Li Cat Fight) tourney. Which I really appreciated. Because I mainly use Chun Li. but sadly due to family reasons I had to drop out early. My first round opponent was SBYRD5. He gave me a good match. but in the end I took the win, and advanced. SBYRD thanks for the great match bro. By July I had brought my only tournement to date out. The Brawl for All. The fastest completed tourney to date. It only took 3 hours to hold the tourney. In the end it was Lancer_PX and Strider42. Good games with them both. but in the end Strider42 took the win. Around the end of July I became a mod at SenshukenTaiKai. When Dan Hibiki and itssounfair held auditions for mods. They told me personally I was their top pick. This made me very happy. This is where I started my Academy for ####!es. It wasnt a great success but I did what I needed to do. I helped out a few people. Around early August I got made an Admin at Senshuk. but that was short lived. Because on August 26th 2002 SenshukenTaiKai forum was officialy closed by Zing79. Then on September 9th 2002. The infamous site known as Battle Grounds was born. This was my greatest moment in the history of my prescence in this community. I had saved the clans. More so I should say. Me and KKS saved the clans. J-Luna as well helped us. but there after I took full control of maintaining BG. This was a golden age for clans. Though BG went threw some down time. Many forum changes. I have finally reached a state of accomplishment with BG that Im happy with. A month later the game went down for the first time. October 8th 2002 was a milestone for XvsSF. Then people readily offered to help pay for maintaining the game. So that the many thousands of other users could still enjoy the game for free. Me, Darkvirus, viper2040, and many others where the first on the scene. With all the people that helped out we were able to get the game back on its feet. There on in things where looking good for me. This time around November 2 years ago, I bought paid hosting and a domain for BG. Things couldnt be better. BG was doing better than expected. I had to continually upgrade hosting plans for BG. but with no doubt in my mind would I stop there. I didnt care about the amount of money I spent. just so long as I brought people happiness. but then on New Years Day night I was in a horrible car accident. In short.. My aunt told her kids to go to my house. Which was 4 minutes walking distance from the scene of the accident. Then she fled the scene. And left me for dead. I almost died. but as soon as I was in the Intensive Care Unit. I begged the nurses for a laptop. I got one.but after I told my mom to take money out of my checking account and buy me one of my own. I was so badly hurt. I had one arm bandaged up. While I typed with the other. Im sorry for my arrogance. but I consider myself a die hard fan of this community. I will do anything within my power to keep it going. As TarkanX once said, I am dedicated to this game until the end.. And he couldnt be anymore right. Ive been involved with this community for well over 2 years, almost 3. I cant help but support it. No matter what Ill always be in this community. Ill always have TMyApp,NoSoul4Evr, and KidKrazyshit's backs. They have helped me more times than I can count. From there on in. My legacy in this community is history. All you people know who I am and know how I act. Now I must give a shout out to all my friends that I know in this community. Sorry if I miss you, but if I miss you. Your not active anymore. If you were trying to say that the people who should post their history are the fighters who beat the "famous" people are really the famous one....lol....that makes no sense. Because being a well known person in SFO doesnt have to be about your fighting rep, it can be about anything (GFX, Personality, Funniest...etc) Back to my point, if some one beat that "famous" fighter, I bet you $10000 some one beat that unfamous person but at the same time he lost to the famous person. Lol!! I hope you got what I am saying, so eventually it will just be a cycle of whos better than who...when it will end up no where. :)

[color=#000000]First of all, I'd just like to say that, if you don't know who the hell I am, it's probably because you don't visit Battle Grounds. I make an average of like 2-4 posts here a year, so i don't expect you PX people to know me very well. =/

With that being said, my history:

I began playing XvsSF somewhere around October of 2001, and like many of you, I had no idea what a forum was. So naturally, PX forum confused the piss out of me. Besides, it looked waaay different back then O_o. I can't recall how many of the fights i fought turned out back then, but, needless to say, i sucked just as bad as everyone else did. I remember hadoukens being extremely hard for me to learn at first. I sat there wondering how the hell I could do it so well on a damn console, but could barely get Ryu to shoot one out online. Besides that, there were some freaky ass rules. I remember that, while you were doing a super, you could still throw out your helper, thus magnifying the damage. Oh, and who could forget the lobby music "powerwithin", and our old friend Barney. I miss that lovable bastard. The one memorable fight I had back then, that i can remember, is of course what we all would. When some guy named TarkanX challenges you to a fight, and you suddenly see that "1st Place Champion" poop come up. Then you think, "uh-oh", and your ass gets plastered (and ranks didn't show up on your name when you entered the chat back then, which made it a lot more easier to get ass-kicked by someone good). Ouch. Lesson learned.

Around January of 2002, I suppose it was, I started hearing about the rise of clans. Now, let's not forgot i had no idea what the forum was for still, so I had no way of joining one. Eventually, though, I did join, but had very little to do with the forums still. Sometime around around May, I believe it was, I had the pleasure of fighting a person, who, I guess you could say was sort of a tyrant. dark-link. Surprisingly, I had beat him in our match. I thought he was pissed at me because of it, and hated me. Much to my surprise, though, he invited me to join his clan, Chaos Core. I joined under the name "MacDougall", a name long forgotten, I'm sure. Fortunately, it was only a temporary switch. At the time, I had gotten bored with my original name =/.

Chaos Core suddenly became the greatest thing about XvsSF. I had the pleasure of befriending some of the greatest fighters of that time, such as georgepong, Strider42, Blaze985, Zyerx, iTALY, xfaderx, AngelWings, DcMaX, and etc. As far as clan battles went, we were undefeated, and the large group of individuals who wanted in couldn't have been higher. After a while though, clan battles slowed down a bit because of Senshuk's destruction.

When Battle Grounds was created by mastaq and The Shiz, I think i can remember either Zing or Quass talking some poop about it. That didn't bother me, though (or anyone else, really). I thought it was great. Clan battles again, woo hoo O_o. And I think it was around this time that I actually met KidKrazyshit. Sure, I had played him before, but never really talked to him. We were matched against each other in a tournament (unfortunately, i can't remember which one. I know that Hardcore18/CaSe won it, though. =/). Aanyway, I remember it being pretty funny. Our schedules kind of conflicted, so it was hard for us to battle. He ended up calling me a little kid, or something, lol. To this day, I still can't remember how we even became friends O_o. Maybe by the miracle of alcohol, who knows =P

Good times came and went of course, and so did BG. Does anyone remember how many different BGs we've had? Seriously =/ (and sometime during then, I was tied with mastaq in the "greatest fighters of all time" vote in the PX forum. ). Anyway, with the clans coming and going, and CC still at large, the times couldn't have been better. Until near the end of XvsSF of course, when our clan underwent a huge change. As many of you well know, Chaos Core and Dark Knights combined to produce Chaos Knights. The merger was okay for a while; in fact, our very own AngelWings even made a few cool clan-related comics (feel free to ask me if you're ever interested in seeing them =P). However, good times would cease to last, as XvsSF DID eventually fall, and hence marked the ending of CK as well. At the same time, my best online buddy at the time, dark-link, decided to end our friendship, as well as his friendship with some of his other online buds (to this day, i still am not fully sure why). In its time alive, CK had only a total of 2 battles, and both of them were wins. Chaos Core, before it merged, had a total of 18 wins and 0 losses (and we won clan wars once). The clan retired with the best record ever achieved, and hence was named best ever to grace the community of

Times have passed and having read some of the "histories" of old ammusing and sometimes, legendary players, I'll take a whip at composing a semi auto-bio of blanka09's stay at Project-X

Just like a host of other old players, I discovered this game in mid 2002 on a gaming website called Arcadepod. At that time, I had just finished my spur in high school at 15 years old... so next obviously was college. However, some factors would hamper my immediate procedure into the world that awaited me.. so most of my gnawing days was spent online searching and learning.

It was at that time I spotted XvsSF on Arcadepod. Like any other gaming fanatic, the thought of playing XvsSF on the web against thousands of other people around the globe seemed mind boggling but there it was right in front of me. At that time, Chun li was supposed to be the latest character... with the NOTs just around the corner. As you can tell, I wasn't too into the events, so my timeline is... um... how do you say, sucky XD

Unfortunately, I wasn't soo interested in the "story" behind each fight I went into. All I wanted to do is learn how to release 5 hadoukens in the air before landing with my ever growing skills with Ryu. So I created a host of other names... some of which never got recognized and one that has become... (like Dan Hibiki) my online alter ego... blanka09 :biggrin:

Then times passed, and I was a regular coming into the servers to do nothing but fight. If memory serves well, it was ooscanno server (forgive my spelling *cough*) that I had spent most of my boring time at home waiting for my spell at college to being... looking and searching for opponents. I was of course a guy of few words.. who would rather fight a hundred battles and have a word or 6 to the lot of them. "gg" ... and that was all... curse my saddistic nature.

At the brink of 2003, I sorta "grew up" and just before I became a freshman at college, my interest in the "background" activities that kept this game intact began to rise. I was more interested in the things that happened behind the scenes than just the fights themselves... and so in the month of February, my online persona made it's way to the forum... in the name of blanka09. Charming... I would presume :biggrin:

Back then, I would read more and ask questions. I wasn't much of a "contributor" ... or a "problem solver" going through the Members Help Section or doing anything special. All I did was look into the General Comments and Strategies and look for ways to make my game a whole lot better :biggrin:

Now if I'm correct, this was about the time Spiderman came as a Christmas present from TMyApp. Never before and never again would we see so much bitching at the raw pwnage of a character than we had experienced from Spiderman (that is of course.. until Sakura came along :biggrin: ) ... and I got quite "familiar" with the character. It has since then become my trademark "marquee" so to say.

Things went quite quickly at that point... and as time passed I began to make an name for myself not as a high ranking community member, but as a bad arse fighter XD ... of course another semi alter ego called bugs02 showed his face... but that's a story for another time.

Then came June 2003... and the story that would change the lives of a lot of online communists and digimon monsters.

That was probably the saddest moment for any fan of this game. It was like the end... wait, it WAS the end. And as we mourned for the good ol' days and the things that would have been, TMyApp didn't waste anytime in putting down together plans that would resurrect his 2 year old (at that time) dream back to the online world.

Then of course, in October 2003, Street Fighter Online was born... with the newest character Akuma.

At that point, my interest for the game beyond the game increased... and I started asking more inquisitive questions as to how the game ran. Then of course, I got to know who and what the phenomenom known as TMyApp was about... as well as other legendary wombats like KidKrazyshit, Dark Masta, Nferno666, NoSoul4evr, 2000warrrior (even though I hadn't known him too well back then), iTALY, SolidSnake76, Fortune, SSJKarma, king-rat, HAOHMARU2, Doomtrain (always had me close in Ryu vs Ryu... good lad), Saijin_Ryu, pip99, vordulmega, Dark Guardian, Playazas, Digital_Fighter, Resident Evil and a host of other members who had made names for themselves one way or the other in this twilight zone of SFO.

It was after this learning process that the blanka09 you've all come to know, love, hate, despise, idolize (... scary O_o) and poke was born. Game wise, I tried to be keep in top shape... became a regular at the forum and also did a host of other things.

The rest is history... um... no.. the future and the present mixed together with a plate of fries and a shake of milk.

Hopefully, more sense is made out of what is seen above than what is percieved from the mind. Other things I would have added and so many events I would have drawn a lot of attention to with this mini bio... but for the sake of time... I would probably save for another time. And to all who have witnessed the gradual maturity of SFO, we can all come together and agree on one thing and one general rule.

It all started back in 2002 I was bored and I never used the computer much back then only for homework and playing some pc game's such as Quake or whatever. I went to google and I searched for online game website's because I was bored on the computer and this happened when I was in the 5th grade. Than I found arcadepod and I started going crzy playing game's on it and then I found Streetfighteronline and I read the description of the game and than I got real excited. I went to it and pressed enter I think it was it said a long time ago and I just started playing, people helped me learn how to play the game such as PC, !(DARKVIRUS), and dark-link but I had a different name back in those time's. I use to be known as somthing else and I was well known in the game. Alot of VIP's and members new me because of my skillz back in the day. I use to win almost evry mtach back in 2002 because there ws not much lag so that did not effect me. I never asked to be sponsored and I havenever done none of those thing's and I had alot of respect from people and people liked me. Everyone always wanted to team up with me while playing sfo for some reason........... :dontgetit: maybe because of my skills :laugh: but im serious through they all always did. The person I always used back in 2002 we ryu and I always hit alot of combos and used stratagey method's on my opponentwhen we played. I started getting good at the game when it was about july close to my birthday of 2002 and I started playing in December. I got tip's from all of the pros I fought and asked them to train me and there wasthis one player that I can't remember trained me for 2 hour's straight with nothing to eat or drink I just sat there playing just trying to get better and better by playing the game and I really had alot of fun doing it too. It was hard but it got me rreally good that I got addicted to playing sfo and I still am addicted but not like I use to be back in 2002. I never payed attention to the forum because I did not know what it was back in 2002 I throguht it wa slike a Term of Policy thingy so I never clicked on it. Than in 2004 I was curious what the sfo forum hold's so than I clicked on it and quickly I started learning how it work's by reading post and stuff. Than when I got the hang of learning it I joined it and started posting right away and I made alot of friend's by doing that. When i joined the forum I learend how everything worked and who was the creator such as TMYAPP and I never known what an adminsistrator or moderater was untal later by joining the forum and learing all that i know today. It has been fun and I will continue being active and trying to accomplish my big dream in sfo that I have always had since I started playing the game. I don't want to say because it's private :laugh: But i will continue doing whatever and I will do evrything I can to help keep sfo alive. Thank You, first off, I must say, an Epic Read. Iam goan make this short and sweet, I loved how you were very detailed about every event, made you feel like you there. September 2002. Battle Grounds.
Probably my most fav. thing of my entire history in this community. BG. With that place, there's only one way to look at it: you either love it or hate it. No inbetween, it seems.
The day that the SenshukenTaikai forum went down. Dark Masta and I decided it was up to us to save what was considered by most members the best part of this community: clans. How could you not love them?
Some people saw it as a senshuk rip-off, and in some ways it was. We did have the most important sections senshuk had(the clan sections) as senshuk did, but we didn't care what ppl thought(why would you care what ppl think if you've never even met them?) In those days, DM had very little web/forum design experience, and I, to this day, have none. The few times I did attempt web design I found the experience to be trite, and extremely boring. Just not a field of interest of mine. So the first few forums BG had were...well..funny. I'm sure you know, unless you've been living under a rock, BG has had more than it's fair share of rocky moments. We've been up...and down...and up...and down. Sort of like a roller coaster. What can we say? Neither DM nor myself had the experience and skills that Quass and Zing have. But we were up to the challenge. The first year was bumping as hell, but we're doing ok now....right? =/


You guys did and still are doing an AMAZING job, a little too good to say. BG was the very first fourm i joined, back in 03, wish you guys still didnt delete all the accounts.

Hosted by DX Zero. I tried searching through the forum for info on this one, but came up short. I know that at one point I defeated Doomtrain. In the final round it came down to me vs. HardCore15, and he beat me. Sorry I couldn't find more. there's plenty more to read though! =/

1st match, I hosted
I tried to keep count of how many hadukens he did(thx to dark link telling me about hardcore being haduken addicted)
He probably did about 30-40 the whole match. Which we all know creates even more lag. so I couldn't do any moves cause everytime I tried he was in my face.

2nd match, he hosted(we know where this one is going )
WAY worse than the first match. I was about to just leave the match. That's how damn laggy it was.

well, here's something i haven't done in a long time...updated my top 3 laggers

HardCore15 now replaces fear tetsuo as first place(fear got first in like february, but his lag was alot better when I fought him in the vet tourney)

I'm a very dissapointed KKS. I thought I was going to get a good match for the final match. thinking the person that got as far as me must be good.

I lost in my match aganist HardCore15....but he did not beat me. I simpley lost the match.

I can't feel but a little depressed every time I remember my past failures in hosting tournaments. I tried and failed, tried and failed again... planed to try again, but was shut out by Zing and Quass's TOC IV vgmfusion advertising ploy that never happened.

I really can't remember why I pulled KKS into the senshuk webmaster job when I did. Maybe I just knew I'd be leaving it pretty soon and wanted to leave it in someone's hands I could trust?

Bah.. it was a stupid thing to do. You can't just give u're problems to someone else.

Looking back, I can see where I've let KKS down in almost all of our encounters. Vet 2002? Bah.. I should've done a better job spamming people relentlessly until they'd give an answer.. like he did. Senshuk I just up and left in his hands *sigh*. And Vet 2003? I don't know if that even happened. By and by I forgot about it and left KKS to fend for himself.

One failure after another though, he's stuck by the community as long as anyone I know, and deserves as much respect as anyone can give him.

I showed my B-Brother the game, he played it and somehow gotten use to it..so he created his name, LiquidSnake. The next day i gave it another try, after doing the moves and the timing of the game, i got use to it. so then i created my name. mac190ss$....I was only 11...(young aint it..?)
November of 2001.
Things were going well. I wasnt really a person who would go on PC's but thanks to this, i know alot about PC's now. **dont ask**

HA..heres something every1 from 2001-2002 should remember...the (FTB) Clan.

My brother and someone on the game named "Wyotha" or something like that, they were cursing out other members. The Bot that was on the game then kept kicking them off, it was kicking them off and acouple of other ppl off aswell.
When the ppl who got kick off met up back into the chat room, the leader "Wyotha" told them to meet in the Big B. Server since there wasnt no bot in there then. My brother who changed his name from LiquidSnake to JPU formed a weird clan called FTB. FTB= f*** the bot...XD Who ever was involved in it had to put (FTB) infront of their names. when my brother log off, i joined, and they ask me to join with them..i said ok..so i later on became (FTB)Mac190ss$

FTB clan spread out wide...mostly thats all you see in the servers...(FTB)..ppl we didnt even know was joinning FTB.
but then ppl started hating on FTB. so other ( ) clans were formed...Clan (EHI) was the 1st. clan (nWo) was the 2nd.and clan (NCK) was the 3rd. it was a mix up, bootleg clan wars going on. ppl from FTB joinning NCK, NCK joinning FTB, FTB joinning nWo...etc etc etc.....

then i remember someone came with their crew...it wasnt a clan, it was a crew. MvC2Sucks, i remember seeing him, and he had ppl with him that had either (MVC2) infront of their names OR they log in as mvc1, mvc2, mvc3, mvc4, etc..
what can i say..they killed us all..so now it was just a funny all out brawl between all of us.

Janurary of 2002:
FTB was starting to die out due to the fact our leader had became inactive. there was a new leader (FTB)Cell, but he suck at leading. he sitting there saying, "your fired, and your fired, this clan is dieing" yada yada...
Soon it was only 3 ppl left...(FTB)JPU, (FTB)Mac190ss$ and
(FTB)Cell. Cell was leader, JPU was co, and i was top fighter.

Feburary 2002:
FTB later on died, but i still carry the funny ass memories i had with them...so i was still in XmvsSf as Mac190ss$. and my brother was still JPU...my brother faught nferno666 1 time and allmost beat him, but nferno666 kindof...destroyed him....
anyways....i remember seeing SolidSnake76 logging in..it was the 1st time i saw him acting friendly...he came in and said.."Hello Everyone." it gave me an idea..since i like MGS somewhat...and i like the nake LiquidSnake..i created LiquidSnake78...
as i got the name LiquidSnake78, my mom ordered a T1 from Cable Vision. that made me improved like hell.

March of 2002: i was still login as liquidsnake78. i was trainning with Ryu and Wolverine. i had a crappy PC so i was lagging like a mofo.

In June of 2002: i Joined the forum as LiquidSnake78. for some odd reason, me and my brother was sharing that account since we only had 1 e-mail address.
so we shared the account until November of 2002, i was using it the most tho.
Alot of people misstake me from Strider42 since his e-mail is LiquidSnake42. i remember PMing him saying y do people think that i am you?
he said b/c my name is allmost the same as his e-mail. he said i can play along if i wanted to.

Somewhere in 2002:
I remember solidsnake76 looking for members to join his clan. "FoxHound" this is how i got on BG.

I saw the clan, i saw the members and this is how i got to meet SolidSnake76, (fighter), EYO, and Shin~Akuma01. Their was more members but i didnt really pay no-mind to them. =/

I remember talking to Dak-Link this year...he does talk alot of crap..i kno..he diss e b/c of my height..i was shrot back then...the we became cool with each other

Somwhere in 2003:
As FoxHound died, i was getting very well known in the community. i was joinning WT tournaments, but i was losing like crazy b/c i wasnt really that good back then.
Anyways. I remember when EYO left foxhound and foxhound died since their were only like 3 members left. EYO invited me to join a clan with him called Hell Shadow X.
This clan was run by Apathy, and EYO if i'm correct.
we had members like, SSJ-BRA(when she was quiet..=/ ) YamiGotenSS3, i think Yami08, Seph, etc etc...

it was a good clan, but due to Apathy bitchyness in leadership, the clan died quickly. then EYO went to form a clan called Fatal Blood Kingdom with Seph, SweetAngel and SSJ-BRA. I didnt want to join this clan b/c i really wanted to go for DK or SM since they were the 2 best clan, but i knew i wasnt going to make it..so i joined FBK....this clan was an OK clan. we had good members altho we allways act like idiots in the stronghold, we were cool.
This year, i later became cool with Dark Gaurdian. He introduce me to some ppl he knew. he had his clan called Dark Dynasty, which EYO use to be in it.

well while i was in FBK, i had fun in there until everyone got alittle tooo bitchy. ???
I remember meeting Ikuzo b/c of HSX and FTB. he was making a clan called Dark Souls. Even tho Ikuzo was a weak ass fighter, he had some good fighers with him. so i joined
Later to merge with HellFire (HFO) it became HFO 2. that clan had some decent and VERY STRONG members in there. Including Nas,ECW, Ninjasuite(or something like that) me, solidsnake, etc...
as xmvssf had crashed due to that whole marve| thing, mad people was going wild. VIP members were being hack into, stronghold passes were being given away. everything went dead.
I remember meeting Resident_Evil2 at this forum he created.
we later started talking to each other, and now we became mad cool. Due to the leader of HFO getting banned due to him ripping a Tutorial. (or aleast thats what i heard)

So, Resident Evil, Penzel, and someone else was making a clan called FOC (Fighters Of Chaos) i decided to join, RE2 put me as tester and later promoted me to Leader. If i remember correctly, the clan was made when XmVsSf was down.
The ppl who were in it was..:

SFO came up after i took a month off. i figured out that Resident Evil was shutting down FOC to make Ruff Ryders. That did not go out very well. thats all i'm saying..XD...

Janurary 2004:
once again, i was getting very well known to the community.
I remember joinning this clan called Spawn of carnage or something, it was led by YamiGotenSS3, and Chaos. i joined this clan for the best of it..only problem is that i was in a clan full of ppl who has big ego's and like to talk smack and whatever....I didnt bother doing nothing, so i did whats best and left...

Since then, i was joinning tournaments and stuff..fighting..getting killed..killing ppl..

April of 2004:
I still wasnt in a clan, but i remember fighting ECW when he came back. this was funny. it was my final battle with him b4 he dissepeared somewhere. It was his Sent Vs my Ryu..he killed me badly...then it was his sent vs my wolverine..he killed me badly again...XD
i remember our last convo on SFO:

Somewhere in 2004: I was clanless after Chaos's Iga Ninja's Clan died. I remember fighting DaSuperTrooper's Chun-Li. i beat him, we had acouple of rematches and we was killing each other back and foward..he ofter me to join Dark Knights. I said ok..i posted my info at the clan section...
i waited for the acception...3 people tested me..DaSuperTrooper, King Of Ken, and i think but i'm not sure..but i think k0rr. they all gave me the acception..but i was waiting on Apathy's acceptions...as i was waiting, i was trainning..i remember the next day i saw DST waiting in the chat room..i'm hearing people saying that there was someone clonning my name. i didnt pay no mind tho..then Trooper said something like. "So you think you can fight a match then leave huh?"
"DENIED!!!"
i was like "Huh?"
he was like "You heard me"
it was something like that..i didnt bother continuing to go on..
so i left it alone. I joined Arc Angels b/c the leader kept pming me and sending me IM's everyday talking about join, join. join...it got annoying...so i joined... the clan was ok until i got promoted to Co-Leader. and nixz was turned down...they were bitching like hell..i had enough of them, and then i left them and joined Ruff Ryders when it was led by morph. it died a month later.
Now that i was well known to the community, i started playing less, due to the fact the ####s were acting stupid then, i gotten my VIP access. then ####s gotten more stupid by the minute.

in December of 2004: Trooper left DK to make his own clan with top fighters in it..the clan was called 3D. it had DST, Da Vipa, Psycho, AK47, Shisho. they were the starting line up..i remember fighting DST again, he ofter me to join. i said ok, and here i am in 3D.

Royal Inferno Tournament: This tournament was hosted by Me, and EvilAkuma. it was a bad hosting tournament due to the fact each round was 1 week posting late. but we got it done...i would of though this would of came out better since aleast 100 fighters joined and there was a Tournament Winner Prize there, also sponsorship and banner. me and EA might make this yearly...MAYBE..due to the fact ALOT of fighters didnt fight the 1st round and 2nd round. alot of people who i didnt want to cut were cut from the tournament. but overall the winner of this tournament was
AK47HardHitter.

Janurary 2005:
Still rolling with 3D we were unbeatable with a 3-0 record. we lost to PxB but they didnt count due to an cheating reason or whatever....

BG shuts down.

Since i'm very-well known to the community and what such. i would of been still playing, but due to the fact that it wasnt fun like it was back in the old days such as the FTB error, its been boring.
right now since BG is back up..ppl been asking me to join 3D since we have a 10-0 winning record. if i say no about it, they start bitching. since my VIP status, ppl threnend to hack me if i dont sponsor them..really it got annoying, and the game became boring now. to me..i miss the FTB error days since everyone was involved in this..dont matter who it was, everyone was involved..Including Nferno666...he had problems with FTB....but those days are gone. :(

Wow.. young age for someone who's stuck around for such a long time. And yet even now u're not as old as I was when I first joined at the young age of 15 (or seemed young at the time since most ppl couldn't believe I was only 15).

Good old (FTB)... back in the day I think they were the chat junkies. And then with the mvc'ers. Good times...

Suprised you played SFO as long as you did. Looking back on these histories, I'm just amazed at how long some people can still like playing it. I mean, if youwere to stick all my mainstream gaming times together it might end up being 4 month at the most. And yet here we can see people who've stuck with playing the game for years. Truely amazing.

September 2001
I Was Looking On Arcade Pod And I Have Always Been A Big Fan Of Street Fighter, So One Day I Saw XmVsSf And I Was Happy To Quickly Click On It.

As I Did I Was Amazed Up Until It Said User Name, So I Just Put My Real Name At The Time "Trey".

I Then Relized Before Playing, That I Didnt Know How to Play, So I Just Kicked And Punched And Lost My first 5 Match's, I Then Started To Learn How To Play.

October 2001
After Playing For About A Month And Going Through 3 Names, I Decided To Change It Again, At That Time I Was Known As "(Dabura)" Making A Few Friends Aswell Such As "Jr".

After Finnaly Knowing How To Play I Quickly Went Up In Rank, Though The Highest I Ever Got To Was 850 At The Time I Was Still Happy I Atleast Gotten Somewhere.

At The End Of The Month I Changed My Name To "(Liger_Zero)" A Name Wich Everyone Now Knows Me By.

December 2001
I Had Always Wondered What The Forum Button Was So I Clicked It And Had Finnaly Joined On Dec.10, 2001, And I Was Quick To Join TOC 2.

After Having Countless Fun And Exciting Games With Nferno666 And TarkanX, Two Users Whom I Always Came So Close To Beating But Never Did, I Felt Like I Had A Chance At This Tournament.

I Later Found Myself Eliminated In Round Two Of TOC2, I Then Went To Further Develop My Skills.

I Had Been Playing Through And Quuickly Gained On The Rank Leaders, I Then Found Myself Rank 1(Though Not For Very Long)I Was Happy I Had Completed One Of My Goals, That And I Had 196 Wins And Only 42 Loses.

I Then Joind Shensukentaikai Forum Created By Zing And Quass, I Found Myself Quickly In A Clan, With One Pm I Was Then In DK, And Met Alot Of My Current Friends Today With Names Like Dark_Masta(Mastaq), Shinjuko(2000Warrior), And Even LancerPX(Dominicankid98).
