View Full Version : Clean up in new ppl's section - Whats it with the banner theme?

Wow, the New person's section is pretty full, but full of the same stuff: "Can you make me a banner?""I'll make you a banner""Where do I go for banners?""How do I make a banner?", etc. etc. How about you guys put a ban on these types of posts, or just movew them elsewhere. I mean, it's a pain to look at them anyway, why let all hte same topics take up space?

Yeah i agree...and is'nt that why we have PM's?..to ask requests of people.

Ok hence the name "new members section"...It is there to help ppl that are new and want things that we already have such as banners. I have a topic there that has about 300 replies but if i didnt make a topic to help ppl then they would post places that they shouldnt such as here. I've noticed a change of banner topics. They do help. If you dont want to look at them or post on the topics then dont but leave it alone. It serves a good purpose.

The answers to some of those questions...all have different answers.

Should those "how to" topics be deleted?...NO!

Oh yeah... that section. 'Havn't checked in there in a while... but here's how it works (for now):

- People are free to start thier banner topic any time @ leisure.
- After someone ends up "helping" this guy out (and as soon as I notice it), the topic is locked, having served its purpose.

I really can't think of a better way to do this... If one topic was made for it then NOTHING would get done (####ies won't want to read a large 30 page topic, they need help NOW!). And we're sure as hell NEVER having a gfx section (or else I'll be very suprised/upset about it... just look what happened to Senshukentaikai for god's sake).

What will probably happen... eventually, is I'll/on of the other mods/admins will get so annoyed with it they'll make a rule banning those types of topics and/or creating 1 topic for it.

ahhhhh, good. Now we just need to wait for a mod to pop, and watch the sparks fly. Thanx again for your response 2000.
