My first time in XvsSF: When i first came it took like forever to load. It took like 1/2 an hour. After when i was done loading I saw something called top scores. I looked around and i saw that a person called "james07" was rank 1. I was surprised because the points were like "50000". I went into the chat room but before i did that i made a name. My name was "Chris50298". Back then i didn't know about the good names. I went inside. All people were doing is mostly swearing.

My first match in XvsSF: Somebody challenged me. I accepted it. I saw the characters. Back then i didn't know about Ryu and people like that so i used "Cyclops". The only attack i did was that weak optic blast (when you press p1). Thats all i knew at first. It looked like i was winning but then out of nowhere he did i big attck. He used Ryu and it was that big hadoken. He killed me in first match. Second match i was still doing the same move. I lost again. I wondered how to do specials. Right after that match i did practice. I used Ryu. I pressed all the buttons at the same time and i did it!!! I did the super hadoken!!! It killed him. After that match i went back into the chat room. I saw "james07". It said "rank 1". I fought him. I did the special attack. I beat "james07"!!! Right after that i went into the chat room and my rank went from nothing to "82". It was late (like 10: 00) but i still stayed on. I met somebody called "AngelWings". She was friendly. She told me about something called aim.

Now in XvsSF: Today I am one of the best fighters. I joined a clan called "Dark Knights". I know lots of people on XvsSF and I am a member of the forum

Let's see...

I had half a mind when I started in October. My username was first DanYankees, then went to DansYankees, then down to the queer name of DannysYanks. That is the freaken name that is found in Archive 2!!

Well I don't remember my first fight. I remember wanting just to bein top 100. I looked at the top 5 and saw the name's TarkanX, Zoo, and Imagination. I was like whoa those guys must be great. There was a guy ranked 5th named "Trekon". I challenged him and he actually accepted it. A low 100+ ranker. I fought him in a close match in which i got a round off him. One whole round! That really boosted my confidence. I played the game until December 24, the day Chun li came out. I was getting pretty bored by then, so I decided to stop playing.

I started playing again in the Spring time. This is when I created a username in this forum. I noticed there was somthing new. XmvsSf clans. I found out about these by the (ftb) clan lead by Cell. I was like "Cool! clan abbreviations before your username!"

I decided making my own clan but it was a complete failure. I begged my brother "Timmys" (very queer name indeed) to join so he did. I had a couple others join but it didn't work out. He ended up joining the Missfits. I remember seeing CarlMarx, ThePrankster, BRP, Bibidi, and SuperCalo posting. They were a very active clan.

I searched for a clan, and finally found the good ol' Shotokan Masters. I reviewed the people that were in the clan and found that they were a great clan. I knew I had no chance for DS so i tried this one. I signed up to join in the Registration/Application section of Senshuk, and scheduled a fight with Slk_Rik. I fought him and beat him (due to lag most likely.) I was given the clan password and I entered the private forum.

I was like "err...hi...i'm the new guy"
Everyone else was like "How'd that #### get the password!?"
Well everything was cleared up and I got along well with all of the Shotokan members. It turned out that they were better than DS.

I now play the game often and am an active poster at both BG and this forum. I would not say I am ANYWHERE close to be being one of the best fighters now, but I can still defeat many. I'd refer to myself as being an average player...not n00bish but not respected either.

my best friend, afahri, some of you may know him, showed me this game in september. he showed me certain supers and stuff. and when i tired to make my own name. it didnt work. i typed solidsnake and my old e-mail bunjji@netzero.net, which dont work anymore. after trying over and over with multiple names, i gave up and played another online game. when it temporary went down in january, i came back here and figured out how to make my name work:

well it all seemed strange at first but i learn fast. at the options afahri told me to change the controls to play better and put lag at low. there was alot of pple there.

i played my first quick game with my favorite x-men character: wolverine. cant remember who it was i fought but i won my first match quickly working the moves i learned. from then on i fought with wolverine and wolverine only.

an update
i've gotten wiser and have become one of the best wolverine users here, if anyone notice that. i trained some pple here to turn them into novices instead of having ####ies running around the place. i got my own clan, made rank one once, then learned that rank dont matter, i famous around here and i made friends and foes. but my only good friend here is afahri cause he i can really trust.

Well my first day of the game and match was a bit hazy, I cant even remember whom I fought first, its DANG amnesia ???

Anyways...It was on the first week of [b:post_uid14]September 2002[/b:post_uid14] and I was at work idling. I hid in one of the corners and searched for online games through [b:post_uid14]google.com[/b:post_uid14] then I found this game through [b:post_uid14]smartnewyorker.com[/b:post_uid14], I clicked the picture icon hoping to play the game instantly but then a pop-up message appeared saying something about downloading a shockwave player. I was afraid of any downloads coz my log on ID was my name so I just ignored it. That night, I cannot sleep...

The following day, I went back to the site (smartnewyorker.com) and decided what the heck! Ill gor for it and started to download the game. Afterwhich, I tried to use a gamename one I cannot recall but had trouble with name authentications so I decided to use my nickname as my first log in GAMENAME and VIOLA! but I used a fraud email add. I read the FAQ and check out other features of the game (top scores, faq's, forum) so when its time to play
I went to practice mode coz I cannot connect on the start menu. I played with the default sentinel and luckily beat him!

The next, I decided to log in with another gamename (this one) and the rest was history...

What I cannot forget was my encounter with [b:post_uid14]LOVEMUSIC[/b:post_uid14], maybe shes a girl. She taught me how to choose a game character coz back then I was only using the default ryu while im surprised why these other peeps can choose other characters. :buttrock:

I also cannot forget [b:post_uid14]DAVIE-FLOWIE[/b:post_uid14], he gave me my first rank boost. When we were fighting, he said to me to stop coz he could see how worse I was playing. We talked and he gave me some tips and his website which is now part of projectx (CAPROMANIA) :buttrock:

Got bord...clicked the FORUM....got realy confused...i had never seen a forum before...something totaly unfamilair to me.
The game finished loading. I closed the forum.

I watched the XvsSF Intro...and went "WOW!" This is no ordinary shockwave game...theres something special about this one."

I created a user name (nosoul4evr) went straight to the OPTIONS section,and promptly changed my settings.
then entered the chat.

Pretty dead...not alot of users at all.
I denied the first couple challanges...i was looking for a "big dog"...and i found one...some guy named "Pandora". I challanged him...and was quickly swept away to the character select screen....where I could only choose Ryu.

I was kinda dissapointed..but figured..ehh it's a FREE shockwave game...ya cant expect too much. With just the intro alone...it had already surpassed any other shockwave game I had seen to date,so I was pretty happy...I figured Wolverine was next..and that was gonna be the end of the games development....Boy was I mistaken.

Well anyways...Pandora and I entered the match...and I proceeded to get my ass thoughly wasted...Pandora fought me 3 times and finaly "shut me off".

Once I returned to the chat...I asked the oldest question in XvsSF history, "How do you do the specials?"...everybodies reply in general was "Get screwed,n.o.o.b!"
Well that pissed me right off...in the biggest way.
Then some person (i cant remember who) challanged me to a fight...I accepted..once in the game...I began my poor fighting styles....The chat boxed opened, "Hey?"
I stopped and we chatted for a second...during this time...this player told me to "slow down" when I tried to preform the moves...we resumed fighting...and I didnt listen to his advise...I fought like a n.o.o.b, hamming the buttons..He tried to tell me to stop,I didnt...he had a high rank and i wanted the points...he left the game...and i never saw him again.
I tried for 2 days trying to get "techniques" off of people and the answer was always the same.."Get screwed,n.o.o.b!"

Finaly on Oct 7 2002 I joined the forum,in a last ditch effort to get some help....learned to navigate the forum..and noticed all the flaming going on...so i didnt post a question asking how to do the moves. But I did find the help I needed....some dude name "Warmor" had made a site about the game...I visited the site...and got my reward for a job well done searching...I then was armed to enter the XvsSF realm with my new found knowledge,and try to kick some butt.
But once I entered the PRACTICE mode to test these moves out on helpless Barney...I discovered...the moves where VERY hard to execute...So I began testing...and testing...and testing...and trained my self till i could preform the moves accurately.

The rest of the story gets VERY long indeed...so i wont bore ya'll with it. :D

I was bored one day, nothing to do, so I went to arcadepod.com. I saw a game called XvSF, I remembered playing the game 4 years ago(1997), I thought it was fake, btu I wanted to check it out anyways. When the game was loading, I said to myself " this might be the real thing". It told me to enter a name and password, so I did.

I didn't know what to do after that, so I told one of my friends Jason to have a duel with me.

My first match was a horrible match, since I forgot all the moves(haven't played any SF-like game except Mortal Kombat 2 for a year). Anyways, we didn't know the moves, we just kept punching and kicking, and that's it. He won the fight, and I really needed some training. So my friend told me some of Ryu's moves, and I was off....

the next day one of my friends said "man, I finally figured out how that Nferno666 guy kept winning, he used a move that enabled you to regain strength" They kept talking about it so much I looked it up to see what the big deal was about, and here I am.

A few days later, and a lot of matches later, I started talking to PROfe$$or. He would never fight me, which angered me. I came here, being a stupid ####ie, and made this topic about how he never fought anyone. I will not give you the link to it...it is too embarassing. But if you find it, don't revive it. but PRO and I are cool now.

My first day and match here?

Hmm..

I had just got Cable Modem on Sept. 29th, 2001, and I spent all day testing my speed. Next day, I started looking up some games.. shockwave games, since I've always been a fan of www.shockwave.com. Then I went to www.google.com and typed in: "Shockwave Street Fighter Games", and guess what? This came up... so I clicked on it.

I saw it said "Start, Faq, and Forums", I clicked "Start", then came the choices "Mirror1 and Mirror2", I clicked Mirror1, an it didn't work, so I clicked Mirror2. The shockwave started loading... and I got SO HAPPY, I started getting giggles inside of me. The game loaded, after me watching the video, and asked me to Type in "UserName and Password", since I didn't have one, I made one, called "Warri0r". I went in and was Challanged by someone... Sad to say that I didn't check the controls, so I got my(Ryu's) ass beat badly, cuz I didn't even kow how to Punch. So then the person IMd me(in the game), and we started talking. And he told me how to do moves and stuff!

So, that was my first match, but my day wasn't over yet.

Then I went back to the Server(1st), and got challanged by my good but unseen friend "PaMaLiO", he was 1st or close to being 1st place at that time. We started fighting, and since I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A REAL BIG FAN OF "Street Fighter", I already knew how to do ALL of the moves. I believe I should've been winning my match, but I lost, then PaMaLiO IMd me saying "Aww common, I thought you would do better than that!", I told him that he wasn't being hurt, so he told me about lag(which I had figured). Then we just fought like 10 more battles, and I honestly got better, I even beat him one round (Yes, I thought he was the hardest, even in TarkanX's primetime). And by the end of the night, my rank was 52!

Then I learned how to do the moves without looking, and became good!
Possibly one of the best!

my 1st day i can't remember when but it was before air moves were added in...my friend kept bugging the hell out of me sening me the link for the game which i always closed but i fianlly did after he didn't stop for a week. he was ranked 10th and it was the time that leftyfb rules top scores. Well my friend Baller was my 1st match and i won and i was like cool so i just keep playing and i was ranked 291 at the end of the day.I joined the forum like 2 or so weeks later. I eventually got even better with a record of about 40-0 and i fought the great leftyfb. i was excited as hell to fight him because he was #1 at the time. he won the 1st round and 1 won the second but he killed me the 3rd round. after suffering my 1st loss i kept practicing and i fought him like a week later and i won...so i guess it was bordom that brought me here but hell i wasn't bored for a very long time after i did :D and i'm still somewhat here(waiting for the old school version to come back so i can relive my glory days)

anyways, i was going to school one day. and this guy named charles(you may remember him from this other topic) kept on talking about how good this game was and how he had found it on aracade pod. this guy was pretty gay and we'd always beat him up, but he kept talking about this game, so one day i decided to check it out. it was good timing, cause i had just gotten i don't really remember my first game, but i remember switching between the characters. at first i used wolverine, cause i had just went to the arcades and got beaten by him. i was instantly hooked on to this guy, he was really agile(much better than now) and he had a fighting style similar to gohan from dbz hyper dimension. so i started using him and later i learned of the good old wolvie's corner trap. then i started to demolish almost everyone, except vets. one day i faced kks, and i thought he was just some weakling, so i used ryu(i wasn't good with ryu back then) against him, he crushed me. then i asked for a rematch using wolvie, but he ignored me. so i came to this forum and challenged him again(and he still beat me, lol).

First Day

- A friend gave me a link to the project x site He said it was xmvssf and that i should ckeck it out.

- I went on as a player at the end of last December as a player. Nobody would play me much.

- Some time in early Jan i decided to check out this site again, this time i set up a username (SSJDan) and i went in to one of the servers. My first match under this username was aginst slk rik. I picked wolvy and he picked ryu. He beat me first round, after the first round he started talking about clans to be honest at that time i didn't really care and i think i told him that. He then then finished me off really quick and i felt kind of stupid :shocked: I then began to use ryu

My first day...

I was cruising arcadepod.com, and I saw something called "X-Men versus Street Fighter Online". I said "what the hell" and clicked it. Then I had to register, and thought "this is a multiplayer game? wow, this should be cool.

My first few matches
I registered, entered the practice, tried out a few moves (but still didn't know how to do a frigging hadoken), then entered the chat.

My first opponent: token
Result: I got whomped. I got thoroughly whomped. I got whomped so bad, I don't want to remember.

token laughed in my face, then I tried to figure out more moves. To no avail. Then I fought my second match

My second opponent: Tarkan X
Result: Once again, I got whomped.

However, instead of laughing in my face, Tarkan figured out that I was new, and he taught me the basics of XMvsSF. And I grew from there...

The Forum
About a month later, I joined the forum under an alias. Like NoSoul, I had never seen an online forum before, and was blown away. I made a few posts, then registered as Nantuko Joe. When I first started off, I was somewhat mild-mannered, and only replied to posts (never starting my own topic). After a while, I joined Dan Hibiki in flaming Randy-moss, and he and I formed the SFPOA. I was finally accepted by XMvsSF Online Community.

Then, a little while later, some loser kid named mastaq ( :biggrin: ) joined. This kid was one of the biggest nOOb$ I've ever encountered. He and I engaged in a HUGE flaming war that lasted a few weeks. It wasn't until much later that I would learn his true identity.

My first clan
This was easier than I thought. Some kid named Selvin (he was only 3 months older than me, forum-registration-wise, but had over three thousand posts. He was advertising a clan, called The SMASHERS. This is pretty much how I got in.

That's when Selvin gave me the link to Senshukentaikai, where I totally got sucked into the XMvsSF community...

For the next half-of-a-year, Senshuk-forum was my home away from home. WHenever I had spare time, I was posting at Senshuk (all the while honing my skills at the XMvsSF game). I was a member of Drunken Smashers, and a well-respected member of the XMvsSF community overall.

Then came the forum wars, where a $hitload of users were creating their own personal forum. I got swept up in the forum wars, but managed to create Nantuko Kingdom. I expected it to flop....BUT IT GOT HUGE! Aside from Senshuk and the official forum, EVERYONE posted at Nantuko Kingdom! Then, when NK was in need of new moderators, KKS suggested to me some kid named Dark_Masta. I accepted. Then, the unexpected came. Zing and Quass shut down Senshuk

My life in XMvsSF now
The entire summer, I had taken a break from the XMvsSF game and official forum to be on NK and Senshuk. The closing of Senshuk corresponded with another event--Mallarky.net. A few of my real-life friends wanted to create a website and forum, and I shut down NK and moved everyone to Mallarky. Then, I started posting once more here at the Official Forum. The ppl that used to post here were gone, replaced by Roll, SSJDan, tupac2westsider, Ludacris, sk8erfox, adn the likes of them. I finally got back into the game, and hope to bring DS on a comeback tour of the game. It was about this time that I discovered that one of my good friends on the forum--Dark_Masta--was really mastaq, that stupid nOOb that used to flame with me. Past experiences forgotten, he and I began to work on repopulating Mallarky.net. However, due to my involvement in the wonderful world of COLLEGE, things are going slower than I hoped.

My status now is an honored and respected Vet of XMvsSF, member of the Drunken Smashers, and admin of Mallarky.net.

My First Time In The XMVSSF Community

First off my name wasn't SBYRD5 at that point of time secound.I joined the game back in March.I played for a good time during.My first match was against "Jr".I studied the users,and the mods of the community.Warmor had this weird idea off making you play naked.Around this time I with a group of other members trained under TarkanX because he had a Dojo at the time.I eventually stopped playing the game for a while then....

My Return As A Noobish Member

I had a plan at that time to inpress TarkanX,Elena,etc.I decided not to return as myself,but as something new unique a name that you've never heard before.....SBYRD5.I began to train during that last summer under (NWA)SuperBoy.He was very good at that point of time.A achived some more skill then came my first tournament."ChunLi Masters"By 2000Warrior.I also flammed Nantuko Joe alot at this time.

My First Tournament

At that time 2000Warrior was hosting his tournament,and Sportschick155 was hosting her tournament as a warm-up for "ChunLi Masters".It was amazing I meet everyone that was a ChunLi Master then.From Tupacwestsider to Gothic.Even KidKrazypoop was in that tournament.I managed to make it to the semifinals I was feeling really good about my self at that time.Then reality......I was defeated by KidKrazypoop.Black_Rob at that time was suspected to have been DXRoll.Well, anyway Black_Rob defeated KKS to become the #1 ChunLi user.I was a little down,but I continued to work at my skills.

My First Clan

At this time the major clans where.Drunken Smashers,Shotokan Warriors,and Dark Knights,etc.There where other clans,but at that TIME these where the three most powerful clans.There where many clans,but those clans had to prove they were worthy to become an OFFICAL clan.I was asked by the clan leader of the Missfits to join them.It was after the "ChunLi Master's"Tournament.After Him Came Princevegetam he asked me next.Then a member from the drunken Smashers asked me. Something was odd here.I asked some members at the forum,and the online game they said"You are becoming a little popular." So after a while i decided to join the Missfits.(Promise to Princevegetam=If I ever quit the Missfits I'll join your clan man.)

My First Group Of Friends,And Rivals Online

My first RIVAL was ZeroEna we had been in that tournament,and we were sceudaled to fight each other 2nd round.We never fought ZeraEna defaulted,and said his PC was giving him problems.Eventually, I became friends with ZeroEna then next came Roll, then Duo Maxwell,Akuma_Forever,etc.We made little stories in Random Insanity,and we still do today.I can say I enjoy them very much in this community.

How My Life Is Now In XMVSSF Community

I've seen VETS and ##### come,and go.I've seen impossiable combanations pulled off with partners in the online game.I've seen relationships die,and others begin.I'm now considered a VET by some,but I look at myself as a member of something great.Today,I'm the coleader of the Missfits.Also I own my own site,and I have constant fans there.

So as long as there an long forum an a online with members like this you can expect me to be a teenhood poster.:biggrin:

Oh i remember mine. My first match was with coolfighter1. We were both on our last pellets of life when he did a super beam. I was like crap. Then i got up to the ninetys that night. Cause i kept beating bloodback (kind of cheaply) but hay it was the only way i could win. Hadoken hadoken hadoken. over and over. but when i won it was just barely. bloodpack is really good and is an honorable player. (unlike me at the time lol) :)

i clicked on the game.it took about a hour to load.i made a account called tedi and a fake email since i didnt now what a email was.then it logged me in.i clicked on practice.then i saw the character screen.i clicked the mouse at the character RYU and it chose.then another person came beside ryu it was blanka then the computer chose.the computers name was barny and its ping was ???.i didnt even now what ping was.i tried doing all the samuria showdown controll moves.then i did a roundhouse.in the weirdest way i pressed all punch bottuns with my hand by accident but i was pressing down and forward.and it did a super i though it froze but barnys health went right down.after i went to top scores.i saw somethink like this

Ok heres the real good story. Ok my friend Hobbit A.K.A short dude. told me about this game. I would go on a lot but the loading would take so long i would just quit. So we got two lines and id just leave it online. (I tried changing settings to never but it didnt do anything) When i finally got a chance to play hobbit tried to teach me all the moves but I'd screw em up. So when i finally figured it all out i played coolfighter1. All I did was bomb him with hadokens and super beams. He obviously won (just barely) and I got some of his tecniques. I then played pip99. Lost like 3 times won like once. I got my ranks pretty hight with the one win. Then i played some other people and won alot. I got my rank to like 99. I was so addicted to this game (which i still am to this day) I played alot and made a few other names . But then I just went back to this one. Well thats about it.

My first visit to this place

When i first came i went to the forum first rather than going on to play the game. i didnt know much about the internet at the time cuz i had just gotten my computer. i thought sice you registered at the forum i wouldnt need to register in the game(well obviously i was wrong).it took me about a week to figure it out. Then when my first match came i lost. I knew all of the basics(fireballs, specials etc) but i was still getting my ass kicked. Then i met Lordcyris who supposedly has my last name and thinks were related :biggrin:

Well today im one of the biggest playas around.lol. But really even to this day i still get my ass kicked badly by everyone even #####. I have the worst loosing streak out of anyone.

Where to begin??
So i'm pretty new here to the on-line world of XMvxSF, but have spent a good portion of my life with games like Street Fighter 2 Turbo and X-Men Vs SF for the Sega Saturn (much better than the PSX version). Recently i have been playing alot of Super Puzzle Fighters Mini Mix and came across the sacred title of Pocket Fighter, which i didn't hesitate to burn at an instance and emulate the PSX game on my Duron 750. No sooner had i played the game day in day out had i realized that it was alot better to play with others, so i decided to make an on-line version in flash. It hasn't gotten too far yet because sprite hacking is a ##### and SWIsH can only do so much : P. Anyways, i came upon a random message board mentioning a flash version of my all-time fav capcom game, which i had whipped up on at AniMazement in 2000 in the console room. X-Men Vs. Street fighter (Online) swept me off my feet and my bandwidth, and this is where i started.

First Match
My first match didn't actually happen for quite some time due to my school's wonderful multi router/firewall ####. so i played practice bots all day until i got home and fired up the link i e-mailed to myself some 50-odd times so as to not forget it. I loaded the login dialog and used my crappy name, 380c1w00t, and played my first match against YourAssIsMy as Onslaught and myself as Ryu, twas ugly. No sooner had the match begun when it was over. GG YourAssIsMy!

hahah! you tried to make a game with swish!lol thats crazy. no wonder you didnt get anywhere. swish's option are soo limited.
I got flash 5 but i havent put my self to the real test with it.

first time i played !

i like, searching for FREE SHOCKWAVE GAMES in ALTAVISTA.com (didn't knew about google at that time)
then i came in something called FREEARCADEGAME.com or something like that, i was bored to always see this site, so i BACKED to AV and continues the search and found about PROJECTX main page !

i thought, well another crappy game just like the ones on freearcades. but it happenned to be way more then that, i JOINED the game as soon as i started, didn't want to be a guess !

next i started the game, it took about 30secs. to load (was at school) then i configured my keys and connected to the game. i didn't knew anything at that time about it. i was like MEN, this lag as hell ! and i got my ass kicked all the time because LAG is just killer. people were doing lots of hados back then as only ryu was in !

i backed off the game for an entire months !
in october, i joined the forum and started to post things, INCLUSIVE and SELVIN were the biggest dick head i could find, they talked trash a lot and inclusive was very annoying with its INCLUSIVE HERE, TO BE CONTINUED...

but after a while, i learned that TARKANX was the first in the top-10 so i said myself, the hell, i want to know his way of fighting and fighting the best can give me my real strengh. then i challenged TarkanX in the forum, to my surprise, he said SURE THING KARMA, whatever it goes for you !

i was like, HELL ! he's a one kind man ! fighting a rookie that was there for only 2 weeks ! and he accepted the fight !

i was ready for it, some said TARK could defeats a man in 3 seconds, so my quest was to hold on for about 30secs. but to my surprise, he had the very same style as me, and wasn't throwing hados all the time, i mean, he throwed one in all the fight ! the fight lasted about 74 seconds, i was like hell, that is really a one kind man, really knows how to fight.

after that i knew the game wasn't this good cause of lag, and i decided to let it go and play for the fun of it, even if i had my ass kicked all the time !

i was winning against REAL new COMERS that didn't even know anything about the game or how to make those supers, but that didn't count ! i was just glad to play a game like that !

that's about the beggining of my story, not gonna say the rest !

Yes, i have realized how limited swish is, and after learning the basics of swish i headed back to Flash MX and its now a little easier :p My original intent was to use flash but it scared me away o_0;;;

I was a real dumbass when I first started. When my opponent wouldnt appear to be losing health I thought it was some kind of cheat or something. :biggrin:
