:biggrin: Alright.. it has come to my notice that this side of the forum is filled with more comments than strategies so you're gonna see some topics with deep and well researched tutorials in using some of your favorite characters by yours truely :biggrin: Anyway.. enough talk..

Ryu.. Unarguably the most well rounded fighter in the game.. Now this shotokan dude is a very good fighter because he possesses all you need to gain victory over any opponent First of all he has a nice projectile, hard punches and is excellent in hand to hand close combat .. Now most ppl... I really don't like to use the n word so I'll just leave it like that... Now they think Ryu's all about haduken haduken haduken... shinkuhaduken.. and that's it.. Well it might work to a level but when you start fighting stronger fighters you'll be whooped like a piece of rubbish :biggrin: Ok.. I'll adopt pip99's mode of starting a fight... His is very simple and really effective; I noticed it when we fought and hope he would not mind me posting it here. This vet starts either by jumping at you with a hard kick and uppercut and a fireball or jumping with hard kick clearing of the ground and haduken. This is very good because it takes the opponent out of his rythm early in the game especially those who want to start with haduken and nothing else but hadukens.. :biggrin: I can unfortunately tell you how to start but your fighting style is something you have to come up with.. Being unique is not really the point but learning from the way strong Ryu users fight and then taking into consideration your abilities.. Some ppl always super jump to the other side immediately after a super so that the opponent would not retaliate immediately with his Smart move. yeah!
in that case I'll give you some tips in fighting other characters..
Now when facing wolvie.. You have to be carefull. Do not let him stay close to you for more than 3.5 seconds(This also compesates for lag) and always stay above him when you want to do your combat attacks. I'll have to say here that if you wanna pick a clean victory over wolvie.. Do more hadukens than usual but don't be CHEAP!!
some wolvie users depend only on drill claws excpet the good ones.. Anyway be sure to stay away from those claws unless you're dead.. I will post more strategies in taking down other characters INCLUDING EVIL RYU :biggrin:

lol wow....u actually noticed that when i was playing.i guess i pretty much do that everytime.And Nosoul if you read this ....this is just a lil tactic...how 2 beat hadoken people...do what i do on stl...works everytime cause he always starts with a hadoken.

Ryu vs spiderman... Well to tell you the truth.. I am a spidey user so I know most of the strategies, advantages and disadvantages of using him.. To tell you the truth, spiderman is a very very deadly fighter.. Most ppl refer to him as cheap bcos of his mobility. YES.. spidey is very mobile and quite fast. His speed is only matched by chunli and not even Ryu can beat it. BUT.. there is a way. ( :biggrin: and I'll probably eat myself after this) you have to be a little cheap I must say to defeat him.. Well you don't have to just keep on doing hadukens but if your opponent keeps coming at you with spiderkick then you have only one way to stop him. HADUKEN. A normal spidey user either starts with by jumping and hitting you with a webball or just straight at you with a spiderkick

Well you have to be prepared with spider for anything... He might teleport to your top and hit you with a web sting or just keep on blasting you with those damn high webballs from the air. I"ll tell you one thing.. Cheap haduken fighters THAT STAY IN ONE PLACE DOING HADUKENS would NEVER beat a good spidey user. But a wise Haduken fighter would jump up and shoot some fireballs in the air. It stops them from hitting you with a spider kick. Now if you're fighting with someone who jumps up and charges his bars comes down and does a super then you're in for it. I'll suggest you play the game his way. jump up and feed him some nasty fireballs. But like I said earlier Ryu is the best combat fighter so you'll have a very good time fighting a spidey user who thinks he can beat you without webballs :biggrin:
Some important facts you have to know is
1. To block the MAXIMUM SPIDER.. Well, haduken.. That pretty much stops it. If you're not close to him then haduken into the side of the screen by super jumping to the other side and keep on doing hadukens till you land.
yeah that's it and DO NOT stay in a place for a long time or you'll be squashed
I recommend you watch solidsnake's tociv spiderman vs sentinel (http://www.vgmfusion.com/senshuk/TOCIVfinal2.wmv)

when i watchd that spidey video all i saw was a laggy spiderman,

See what I mean.. If you look well you'll find out that the 2 web stings that killed sentinel were so messed up... Spiderman disappeared and appeared above sentinel and that happens very often.. Try to limit the time you spend in a spot to about 3.5 seconds and you'll be ok :biggrin:
