then he preses the standby butten on the moten
and then waits to i die he lags me out of the game
thats y it says the conntion thing i just die out of no where
the reason i kown thats cuz i play halo2(live) and its the same
has sfo when u lag out

There will always be cheaters. Seriously, most if it, is beyond anyone's control. One strategie I have noticed by these little kiddies is that they get someone to help you cheat by losing purposely just for your record can get high, and then their rank will get high around the top 3, then they give up 2-3 wins to the person just for helping them out.

I remember a time when no one would be a bitch like that. Hmm, oh yeah it was called the good ol' days.

Now when either my brother TekkenKyo or myself get a really high rank, everyone is shocked and is like "OMG THEY ARE CHEATING", which is BS. My brother got his score reseted because these ####ies said that he was getting free wins or using speedgear. It is like, no one is allowed to get their chance to shine, only Nferno is allowed to get 1000 wins without being called for cheating. And recently SFO has been acting up on our computer. We have a pretty fast computer, and the game just kicks us. My brother even got a warning that he got kicked too many times, and really it isn't his fault.

So yeah, you people blame others for cheating, and that is really unfair unless you have real proof.

He's right. This is kind of getting slightly out of hand.

Don't accuse people unless you have SOLID evidence to prove your case. In our society, with the fact that there's more cheaters, and more desperate people, they will accuse them of cheating, and the higher authority will sometimes believe them (they have no choice really, since they're trying to uphold the law). That is why people say "take good screenshots, record matches to show how the game was "fixed" or cheated. An even better way of proving it is getting the "cheater" to admit they did it. Which will automatically prove beyond reasonable doubt that they did cheat.

There are also the other kind of people. The kind who are sore losers and just out of selfishness will say they cheat. They will try their best to make them look bad so they get banned and such.

What i'm trying to say is, don't say someone is cheating unless you have enough evidence to back it up.

i don't think it's that easy,TMy might be able to do it no prob, but my opininon is, there is a code in games that checks to make sure the computer is responding to the game. If the game doesnt get it form the other end (or in this case, it gets blocked) then the game has no choice but to say sync is lost.

It might be possible, but think, people who have nothing better to do with their lives will try and find another loophole around it.

i often see that when someone accuses someone of cheating, they lost the game, maybe, he cheated, but maybe, ur a sore loser. do what i do, when u lose, turn off everything rapidly and go hug ur bed

well. when ppl do lose, they tend to get mad depending on how they lost. we have to remember, this is just a game.

And if hugging ur bed like maddog helps blow off steam, then do so. i jsut listen to my music. Makes me forget all my problems. :)

There is somewhere in the "big book of SFO Forum rules" that says, creating topics about others cheating is a no no... right ?? :biggrin:

But to address the issue, I'm going to start a man hunt on players that actually do things like that.

The thing most of you do not realize is that we can only go so far, or do so much as far as making this game as safe and cheat free as possible. It is after all, an internet game, and coded in lingo language, for use with a shockwave interface. Thus, we can and I state this with a high level of accuracy, only code security measures bounded by those anomalies that deal with the "playing" of the game, and the feedback of results to the server.

In other words, there are things we can't actually do to stop people from cheating. We can't ... for instance, stop a player from leaving the fight in the middle, like closing his browser and things like that. It is a sure thing that he'll get a loss... but the few times, when it doesn't show the countdown, we can't actually do "anything" to help the player who was fighting fair.

Thus, we can't stop most of the "desynching" problems ya'all encounter while playing SFO.

However, the game has been upgraded from a 32 bit security encryption to 64 bit, to reduce/eliminate the cases of "hacking" the game. If someone cheats by "hacking" ur name, it's either because you have a simple password, or you gave it out to someone else.

Anyway, this topic will be closed now and any issues you have with players cheating, should be sent to us to deal with.. oh and believe you me, we'll give 'em HELL :biggrin:
