Character choice - Who to choose?

Hello, I'm fairly new to the game and I'm wondering, which character should I choose as my personal one? I've used every single one in story mode to see which one is the best for me, but none of them really get that good.
with Ryu, its all about Hadouken, with Sentinel, its all about his high punch over and over and over, with Akuma, its working my way up to level 3 to use Raging Demon, and so on

I just need help

could you list strengths and weaknesses to each character?

i recomend a shoto..... ken ryu or akuma..... they never failed me yet :biggrin:

snake has a point but i thought of spidey as a experienced by speed etc.... its hard to connect his moves i know how to use him but i stick with teh shotos anyway =P

Why don't you just visit MaximumSpider.com (http://maximumspider.com) and check out the character moves and strategies.. and some advanced tutorials and see what character fits ur fighting style best. :biggrin:

Oh and for the record, it's very wise to try out each of the characters and see which you one you're very good with... and forget what some idiots would tell you... about being cheap if you don't use Ryu.

there's no askin others to recommend to u...
dun worry keep practising n visit the fansites of SFO and esp nosoul's site to understand more abt each character

It all boils down to what you feel most comfortable with. cyc|ops and Sentinel are powerful when it comes to long range attacks, but they are pretty slow. wolver

lol, I stick to the shoto's because those are the characters I grew up using. They are also relatively simple to use, but as stated before, it depends on who you feel the most comfortable with.

Ok apparently noone seems to listen to the kid he/she is asking for pro's and con's now not your opinion of who's the best

everyone has there own uniqeness so it all depends on u

I'll give the basic things I've noticed and know about (with no research) about each charachter in order ofunlocked stuff

First of all when the name of the charachter is extended don't be alarmed it's just the charachters alter ego that I'm speaking about. Their alter ego is stronger and has more special
