Hello,

Can anybody still remember on this cover, which is showing the amazing painting with the tough battle between Chun Li, Blanka and Ryu?
If yes, what are your opinions about that?

random threads are teh less-than-three
(which means "random threads are <3" for all you non mathical geneiods out there)

i faintly remember it, all i can remember is the cartrage art, which said streetfighters 2 and had them all loitering around.

yeah i remember that cover, i think i still ahve sf2 turbo somewhere in the attic, but all i can remember is ryu is on the floor hurt, chunli is kinda scared with blanka coming towards her.

And about chunli being to muscular- i dont think they really cared about realism back then, the players had to believe chunli was a strong fighter, they did this by making her masculine i.e she has big leg muscles.

I have a big original poster from this cover, on which you can see the 3 thrashing opponents in a larger shape, so
I must admit, that Chun Li has a little too much muscles on this cover, especially to see this on her both powerful legs. .She was a young Chinese girl at her first appearance in 1992, it seems the american artist didn't know exactly, how must to draw such an asian woman, perhaps he thought he must draw Chun Li in this tough style, to show that she can keep up with her male counterparts, but this style let she appears herself too masculine, that is not very realistic, she must be much more female.
What you are thinking about it?

With time comes better technology and with better technology comes more innovative ways to improve on past projects.. Like the Doom creators.. Doom 3 kix ass. I think that chunli still has it in the muscle department even if it doesnt show.. Plus she can throw fireballs this day in age :)
