Best defensive character? - Possibly spiderman?

Spiderman has to be one of the best defensive fighters in the game. He has his spider-sense to warn him of in-coming danger; which is pretty much how the computer AI in story mode is. Im not sure but I think every character in the game has equal defensive power, because they are all able to block and take the same amount of damage when blocking. Basically Spider-Man is the perfect densive character, becuase he is the only other character that has a extra defensive strategy. Anyhow who do you think is the best defensive fighter in the game. Think of putting these answers in form of being able to launch an attack and block quick as possible the easiest and fastest. I was thinking maybe sent who can launch many attacks and still be able to block pretty quick.

but no i dun think that all characters have equal strengths and blocking abilities
this is to give them different fighting characteristic to suit a gamer's choice

Well, to me.. wolvie is the best defensive character. He blocks very well, and you can't forget about his healing factor.

the only two best defensive player (Who I think) are:

Spider Man - Because of spidey sense, one you get the spidey sense, you just have to run away and your set.

Wolverine: when he blocks against it super, theres no effect to the life so then you can take your time wih him when you fight someone else. He is also a fast blocker too and can crouch very low to the ground, Also spidey can do that really well with his fast blocks :)

I would say wolverine. Spider sense doesn't always work on time and sometimes it just happens for no reason. Wolverine can heal and can block all projectile supers without taking any damage.

nuff said..and his quick hits are very effective

spiderman = no diffence..1 ryu's combo can take 35% life
Sentinal = no defense
Cyclops = defenseless character
Bison = GOod defense
Ryu=Good Defense but u need to be good with him so ;) ya :D
Ken = because if someones doing ocmbos u can go up and through his hadokens which stops him from goign down ..

the best thing about ken is that if your in the air and your oppt is under you doin a super, you can do a haduken in the air and then uppercut after wards which will make you stay in the air longer, thats what i always do but you need quick fingers

wolverine was the weakest character...till TMyApp tweaked him....=/

Ryu has no chance against the no wolverine....if a skilled wolverine user is using him....



Back in the day...two shinkuhadokens would put wolverine away...


Now it would take a whole day to kill wolverine if he was blocking the whole match...



Ultimately...wolverine will be the strongest character...if your on a fast pc...


If you have a fast pc..wolverine is the best choice for you....

(High fps) wolverine user Versus (Low Fps)spidey user...that's an even match.


If your FPS is high your wolverine will be powerfull...

Yea i agree cyclops has a good def. cause of his double jump u can do a reagular super jump then while in the air you can do cyclops double and stay in the air long enogh to till your opponet
get finish with his sup I also aree with wolvrie cause he can cancell out attacks with his fast claws and sliding claw:D

I think also Chun-li and Cyclops cuz they double jump :biggrin: and they move so fast and chun-li's slap takes alot of damage if your up close to your opponent and keep slapping them.

ex: i could be in the middle of a jump kick and then quickly stop that attack to block a super that may be coming my way

Big shield right there, you get lag advantage and everything. I don't play him like that though maybe thats why I get called skiless. Even though I can play him like that since every #### can do it and everyone does it.
