Dsl - I cant play

i had road runner and i was playing good and now that i got DSL it wont let me host join or play and i really want to play the game can some one help me or tmyapp can u fix it so now that people who has DSL can play now to please

um.. well, you sure you don't have a router?? You cant host or challenge if you have a Router..

im on dsl and i play fine from the fact i took my firewall off. im geussing thats the reason. but you havent giving details of how much of the game you can access.

ive got the same problem......i think its because we have that extra modem that dsl sent us hooked up?

To sum it up..

You can't play since your router is blocking connections to the port. ( 1626, etc. ) There is no known way to solve this problem... You can still enjoy story mode, though.

I use DSL. I can host games but i'm able to join some games using the Proxy Server Software called "Wingate". It 's aw great program to use.

i got DSL Broadband, works fine, i can host, join and quick game. make sure you have no router or firewall on your connection and you should be fine.

Hmmm..when this happend to me all i did was delete my cookies temp internet files etc...and i was able to join games again and host =/..lol and also quick game..

err..extra modem o_0 don't tell me you got the DSL modem hooked up to the PC MODEM...if so you don't need that PC MODEM anymore :biggrin: just hookup the phone linf directly to your DSL modem and not to the PC Modem..

but i dont have a router i need one but i dont have one and i still cant play i cant join its just blank and when i host and people try to join they say they cant get in and when i quick ame people it takes so long and it dont go threw

I have a router connected to my Cable modem, and I recall my game working just fine. I can host and join games, and I'm sure having a wireless router is no different from one which is not wireless.

Hey $Tony$ first let me say this your Advatar i freaking me out :dontgetit:
but if the dsl does not work try a dial up and if that doesent work try re detecting the dsl modem on your computer if that still doesent work I am sure when you got the dsl modem it came with a cd or a Instruction manual try looking for the help section in the back of the manual or on the disk
and if all of that doesent help or work AT ALL :( consult a Psycologist :laugh:

okay i got the game running i can host but people cant come in i can join sometimes, i can play story mode but thats it i cant quick game people it does it then it stops and thats it how do i do the rest what do i do
