It's been a good ride for this game... - Even through the dark ages...

Hello... I haven't been around lately since I'm busy a lot, so I don't have much time for the computer much anymore, and the fact the most of my interests are duindling.

*cough* anyways... let me just tell my life story, how I felt about the site, and the site right now and where it will go.


By the way, for you ####ies, this site was up on August 8, 2001, a week before I played the site.

It was August 15, 2001. It was early evening. I was getting flamed at planet namek, so I thought I'd just pick up something else. I remember a site called arcadepod.com, I went there, then I was about to play this home run rally baseball site, but then I saw something else. X-men vs Street Fighter Online. I decided XvSF over baseball, but I didn't play immediately yet.

I asked one of my friends(who I knew on this forum for a year in which I got banned) who's user name is Jason1(I don't talk to him anymore, it's been 1 1/2 since I last did. Oh, and if you wanted to know which forum I got banned, it was the now defunct nintendose.com, reasons why, I don't want to explain, and no it's not porn). We both loaded up the site, got in the project x server(which was empty), and we fought.

There were about... 20 characters I believe at the beginning, but we could only pick Ryu vs Ryu. Since I completely forgot about SF, remembering the moves would be hard. Me and Jason fought, he was jumping and kicking, and I tried to do the same, but he won twice(Some rounds were close).

Jason said he didn't want to play the site anymore since he said it was boring(he's a die hard Nintendo freak as far my memory serves). I kept training away, my fists, my leg thrusts. I couldn't get off Ryu's hadouken, or his other specials. But then my friend(in who I know in real life and have known for years) told me is specials(he occasionally went to the arcade to play XvSF, and MvC). I did the procedure for the hadouken, and guess what..... HADOUKEN!!!! A flaming blue wave came thrusting out of Ryu's hand(or his body, since it looked like it came from his body). I've played SF before, first played it in 1992 when it came to the SNES, I've done his hadouken, but I just forgot about SF so much, I needed major help.

Tatsumaki senpuu kyaku(or whatever he said when was retardedly throwing his leg in a spiral in the air). I dind't quite do shoryuken yet till later, about a few days later. Then ti was time for the super moves. I told my friend how to do the long ranged blue beam, he said press all 3 punch buttons, I did that, and guess what... Shinkuu..... HADOUKEN!!!!!!!! BJGGGJGJGJGJTTTT!!!!! KO!!!! WOW!!!! I DID IT!!!! I actually performed the Shinkuu Hadouken technique. I was happy, I also performed the spin kick super.

After that, I was performing basic techniques, jump, super jumping, punch, kick. There was no dash at this time by the way. I thought to myself, I'll keep fighting, then I'll fight with the big guns(top 5 at the time was Leftyfb, Lordcyris, B0ogie, baller, and someone else.... I forgot who it is). I thought they were the best players in the site(they were at the time, but the top 5 then would get slaughtered by the top 5 now). During this time, people played for fun, or for competition, there was no rank hungry person, and if they were, it was a small community, which would eventually grow into a cancer(nice metaphor eh...?). I fought my way up the ranks, I was watching Earth: Final Conflict at the same time playing the site, I felt like I was getting stronger and stronger fighting other people(similar to what Fear Tetsuo went through, but he had to go through rigorous training since during his way to the top, he had to go through people that were marginally better than me to the top 5 before hand, stilll don't get what I'm saying, well... here's an example:

My wish came true as i finally got to fight one of the best players in the site, and most recognized at the time, CptnAmerica. We fought twice, and it was intense, like you were in the middle of a tornado, and you had to survive at all costs, it was you, vs the Tornado. If the tornado won, it would be over, if you won, the tornado would be angry, and attack another day, but you get the benefit of the doubt. Me and Cptn was like this. I won both intense fights, and he went bonkers(somewhat). He said that he couldn't lose to someone like me... I said some wise words, and he smirked, he said he will have his day.

When I checked my rank, I was rank 46 with 46 wins and 26 losses. I felt if I kept going further and further, it would be my first stepped in being recognized in a good way, and being a first rate person, instead of always being plagued as second rate. About a week after I registered in the site, I registered on the forums. I was the 123rd registered member(I would've been the 81st, but I was too lazy to register when I first saw the forum. The community was like a friendly town that was starting up, and giving advice. Everyone was an elder, but they had the strength of an ox at heart. I was happy to be here, unlike planet namek which would flame you straight up your ass in and out whether or not you were new.

A while later, I told Token, a native of planet namek, a recognized vet for people who registered from August 2001-May 2002. He was a brash young kid who had wise words, but broke down everyone who would act stupid, or rip on him. This person is what you ####ies need to know, I wish he were still here.... We fought 5 times, and each time I won. I told him that he would never beat me at XvSF online ever, but I was wrong, dead wrong. This guy almost eliminated me in ToC1, he was freakin insane, he was hardcore. He doesn't take ####, and I loved that. Someone that would fight at their max whether or not you suck, or whether or not you are a vet, he treats everyone the same when he fights them, an enemy that should be killed, that's something that people fail to shot today(or at least XvSF online closed down).

Anyways, I joined the first tournament ever which was held by Necro2k1. There were 8 participants, but only 5 fought. This is what the tournament bout looked like:

My first round opponent didn't show up, Lordcyris beat Ewalk, Lefty won by DQ(CptnAmerica didn't show up). I don't know who B0ogie fought, but he didn't show up. The 2nd round looked like this:

I lost to B0ogie the first match, so I was supposed ot be eliminated, but then B0ogie requested another match, I denied, since he should advance, but after a while, I said what the hell. I beat him in our 2nd match, then he said I should advance to the finals. We had a debate about who should advance, but he said something like... he liked fighting me, he didn't care for prizes. I liked that attitude, some vets in this site would fight for rank(even today), and I'm disappointed in them. So I advanced. Anyways, Lordcyris bested Leftyfb, so I had to fight Lordcyris. I guess me and him would be considered "the best" currently in the site. We fought it out on a Saturday morning, I was kind of tired a little, but I rushed to the computer to play the site. We both picked Ryu(obviously), and then the newly implented helpers... he got Guile, and I got..... Venom, the worst of the helpers at the time, besides Spiral(I'm not sur if Spiral was made, but oh well). We both fought, and he beat me in both rounds, and eventually won a blue Ryu. I lost the tournament, another failure like I've always been, no I dind't think about suicide, and hope to god that I never will, but I was always never first, or never impressed the crowd the most, it was always someone else. Takes me back to elementary school, I felt like taking a break from the site, but I couldn't, so I kept playing, and getting better, and as soon as I knew it, I was the best in the site(At most of September).

During September, I prematurely made a website about project x, if I launched it, it would've been the first site affiliate from project x. But due to laziness, and lack of HTML knowledge, I ditched the idea, so Warmor became the first person, with his bizarre showing of almost nude SF characters(which was soon taken out). I also made a dojo(much thanks to Lordcyris). I trained unworthy fighters, and made them look like prince's, and princess. I felt like I needed to give back to the community, and this was something that I could start at.

Ewalks tournament was in during September, and it seemed like a solid tourney(any tourney that's better than Necro's was good in my eye(before ToC1 came). 52 people participated, it was a preliminary match-up, then it would be a round robin after the preliminaries were over. I was in the west, and had some of the toughest members. There were 13 people in my division, and I went 7-1, my only loss was to Nferno666(One of the most intense fights I ever had in my career at XvSF, and a long string of intense fights me and Nferno666 would have). I was trying my hardest, I had a war face, and kept tamping on the keys very hard, but he seemed like I was some pety fool, and he was the silent warrior(Like Samurai Jack, Silent, yet very powerful, and could kill anyone if he wanted to, but decides not to try his best, that's what I think from my perspective. After the prelimiaries, the first round began, I forgot who I fought, but I beat him by default, since he said he didn't want to fight me. The tournament ended without word of Ewalk. He suddenly disappeared into nothingness, and we never heard from him until 2 months later, and after that, he was gone forever.

In Late September, the next character who would be Wolverine was coming near, and a guy who can kick your ass in 5 seconds, even if you were the best was here... Zing79. He was like a kind-hearted version of Token. He'll kill you, and give you a compliment before you hit the ground. It seemed like whenever we fought, he always got the best of me in a close battle, but it was like he was never at his max against me. It seemed like he was the best now, and then he would start the ever known.... Tournament of Champions.

Okay, where was I.... oh yeah, early October.

Well, before that, I beat someonewith the user name of Stockton to be the first player to have 1,000 wins. It was posted here on the forums by Warmor, so if you want to search it, go right ahead.. I'm too lazy to do it.

Well, the scores reset, and I got first place by a good margin, Nferno666, and baller being 2nd and 3rd respectively. The next version in it's premature stages had it hard on me, and almost cost me being a member of the site. When I played the next version(new version had Wolverine, dashing, and new helpers), I met up against Akuma, just by the name, I knew there would be trouble. I was calm though, but shivering inside. We both fought, and I lost, this wasn't a close match, but this also wasn't a blow out. The dashing thing had affected me so much, and the lag was even higher than before. I went on a rampage swearing, and continously swearing.

I almost got banned at the forum, but then I cooled off, I decided to learn from the new version. I was winning, but mostly losing, until someone(forgot who, I think it was CptnAmerica) told me to reduce my screen size, and so I did. "punch, kick, hadouken, uppercut, spin kick, super moves, basic commands". I had it again, I only had to reduce the site screen resolution, and I got passed the dashing effect, infact, dashing was a main factor for me to win, think of this as 2 people don't want to work with eachother, but if they look deep, they can achieve the greatest things.

I got my revenge on Akuma, and he solemly liked me(the first time we fought, and I bulled on him, he detested me for that, and if you're reading this, and I doubt you ever will, I'm sorry, but we've gotten past that, we are mature people). Zing79 still remained the best for the moment, and Tantum was a silent person, yet he was rank 1. Both him and Zing were the best, so I had to train harder, and harder. The day before TOC1, me and Zing fought a couple of times, and guess who won... yep, he did, some were close, others were blow outs, those blow outs were so I can reserve my super bar. So TOC1 came, and I trained like it was my life, day and night, I fought so many people, whether good or bad, and I kept fighting Zing, but I kept losing.

I got a bye round in TOC1 since I slipped past Tantum to get a hold of rank 1. But the people who used Wolverine got placed further, so every Wolverine user got a bye round. My 2nd round opponent was Silvergo, this was a walk in the park, as I clipped him 3-0. My next opponent, and dear friend at the time, Shadowhetchog would fight it out. He came out hot, since he beat me for the first time ever in many bouts we had the day before our match. Things were unexpected for him as I swept him 3-0. the 4th round, and a person that I feared almost as much as Zing79, was JSL. We were always neck and neck, I win, he wins, and so on. It was always one person would have a bit of life and would come out the victor, although I led the series overall.

It was unexpected as I beat him 3-0, I was surprised, he said his thanks, and signed off.... I felt sorry for him, but I had to continue on for my journey to success for the first time, rank meant nothing to me. Although I beat JSL, I didn't think he was trying his best, we fought at 8:00 pm CST my time which would be about 3:00am his time(he lived in London). He was probably tired, so didn't do his best, or there might have been other things... only he knows the most about our series fight in TOC1.

My next opponent was the person who I showed this site to, Token. Token was much different than before, it was a while since I last fought him, so I didn't know what to expect, and what I expected was far from his talent. On the first match, he slaughtered me, and when I mean that, I mean there was nothing I could do, I was in the corner of the ring getting pummeled by his blows which were as powerful as Mike Tyson's fists in his prime. In the 2nd match, we were toe to toe, Goku vs Vegeta: round two. We kept dodging supers that were thrown at us, we were probably the fastest in the site ever, these new players wouldn't stand a chance against our speed. I won the 2nd match, and he won the 3rd, and then, my life flashed before my eyes. I was transed, in the world of 2nd rate, my eyes, my head, they couldn't relate(I wasn't trying to rhyme by the way).

I cooked up some ramen noodles and ate them out of a pot. I was ready to go, no holding back, the Tarkan"X" was ready to be unleashed.... I won by a little bit in our 4th match, and them I did something that I always think about, and would never regret. *big sigh* I cheated, yes I did cheat, how did I do it? In our 5th, and final match, Token humiliated me in round 1, and in round 2, I was on the verge of losing, so I disconnected the site, and waited for about an hour to play the site again. After an hour was up, I checked the forum, and I saw that Token posted our match-up saying that we tied 2-2, then the site got disconnected. If the site snesed that I left the site instead of the synchronization losing connection, I would've lost the series, since i would have to admit that I disconnected from the site on purpose, and even if I dind't lie, he would obviously find out.

So I played the 5th match seriously, and I won(it wasn't close, but it wasn't a blow out). Although I felt relieved, I also felt like a cheater, especially since is the biggest tournament at the time(and the biggest tournament ever). We both said our congrats, and Token went off for a while. My next opponent was supposed to be Tantum, but I was supposed to e-mail him about the the fight, since I hardly ever check my e-mail, I didn't e-mail him, so I was DQed. I pleaded to Zing that I was at work, in which I actually wasn't(2 cheats in one tournament). He decided that Tantum would then advance to the finals, but me and Zing would face off for who would face Tantum in the finals. Since I hosted first, I had a bit of an advantage. Every match was close, and it went to 5 sites, but the person who hosted the match always won the match, and so obviously, I won the site in a close yet memorable duel. I advanced to the finals, it felt like Necro2k1's tournament all over again, but I still had a chance, since this was a best of 5, instead of 1.

I went up against Tantum, who was probably the most fiercest guy in the site(next to Token, and Zing). People at the forum were cheering on Tantum to win, since they thought what i did of getting DQed, and being unDQed was "unconsitutional". I shrugged off the boos, and fought. I won, he won, then I won the next 2. I was held as the victor of Tournament of Champions, I finally did it, I achieved maximum glory for the first time ever, no more a second rate, but a first rate! But.... I also felt another part of me was a cheater, not a second rate, but an infinite rate. I was not a true warrior, but a person who uses the cheap way out, and doesn't help his fellow side, and let them die brutally. Tantum bragged that I lagged, but I was finally the winner. I don't think I would've won though, if me and Token fought it out in match 5, he would've obviously won, he would douce Tantum 3-1, and beat Zing 3-2. He was underhyped, and if he won, he would have so much more recognition, I didn't deserve this recognition.....

Okay, I was at the part where I won TOC1, so now where should I start....

After I won TOC1, I was getting some recognition and people wanted to fight me all over my shoulders. I was rank 1 a little while after I won TOC1, MegaPower21 passed us, MegaPower21 would be the lead general in what is called "the cancer". Me and Nferno tried to teach him the truth about "the fight", and rank isn't everything. I wasn't sure about Nferno saying this though... but whatever goes. MegaPower21 never really talked, I only heard him/her speak twice, and that was only like a glimpse. During this time, I was e-mailing TMyApp about my prize, he didn't seem to astound of me winning, it was either he wanted me to lose, or he wanted someone else to win, one of those two. Or maybe this was stressing him from the release of Chunli, so that's 3.

Solemly, Nferno would challenge me whenever I gained rank 1, I would win some, he would win some, sometimes I didn't try my best, and when I didn't, he would comment that i didn't try my best, I shrugged off his comments and continued to play. And So on December 8, or december, don't remember the specific date, but it was before Chunli came, so that would be between December 5, and December 26. Anyways, I finally got my Red Ryu, and best of the prize, I got a helper all to myself, a Red Sentinel. I turned from great to almost divine. I was unrivaled, even by the best players. Any ####ie who wanted to fight me would get killed flat, and decent fighter who wanted to fight me would get killed flat, and any great fighter who wanted to fight me would nearly get killed flat. I became an unstoppable force to be reconed with, Red Sentinel go ZOOM!!!! KO! If the player has me cornered, I'll just use my Red Sentinel, if you get passed Red Sentinel, you can't get passed Red Ryu, if you get passed Red Ryu, you can't get passed Red Sentinel, and if you happen to get passed both, you probably have lost already, and so it wasn't worth trying.

Eventually, Chunli came, and I tested her out with Nosoul4Evr. She seemed much different from her XvSF/MvC sites. As this site generally proves, anti-airs suck, but hers had to be the worst. Good supers for upclose contact or middle range, can easily dodge attacks flawlessly, and can trap opponents pretty good, the problem was, it takes her a long time for her to do real damage, the samething that plagued Wolverine, so I stuck with Ryu.

TOC2 came around, but it wasn't as good as the first. Although many Veterans came to participate, some expected fighters didn't show up, one hyped player who dind't show up was Nferno666. He was the favorite to win the tournament, since the only real power in XvSF now was me and him respectively. Manontherun who lagged like a mofo won TOC2, but to steal my prize, he would have to go up against my Red Ryu, and my Red Sentinel. When the fight began, it seemed like I had this sealed. I was toying with him, I fooled around, and wasn't even trying my best. This was the winner of TOC2? I guess that pretty much proves that I was the best at the time. It was a best of 3, and I won 2-0 without losing a round to him, and in those rounds, my life wasn't even below half life(not the PC site).

He was pissed when I beat him, it was like a humiliated him, and which I did, he had a huge ego, he thought he was going to win, he kept saying I had no chance, but he never saw me in action, he only heard news of me, that reminded me of me vs Token in TOC1, I thought Token would be the same as he was before, me dominating him for the most part, but he changed so much within a months time. I was Token, and manontherun was me. He was furious, and went on a rampage, I'm not sure if this was true, but he was so mad that he kept beating anyone he saw just to get back at me, but then again, it was a rumor. He wanted me bad, like Dogs to bones on the cartoon shows, or humans to time, he trained so much, but I never heard from him after that incident.

Before TOC2, someone who is known today by some vets as Fear tetsuo wanted to fight me. he went on the name as Xmvst. I easily pounded him, and he wanted more. I don't know how many times I fought him, but each time he always got closer and closer, he wanted more, but I declined, since I was tired and wanted to sleep, I had been playing the site that day for hours on end. Other days later, he wanted me like white on rice. Like always, I would keep pounding him, and like always, he would always keep coming back and getting closer and closer to beating me in at least one round. As I got stronger from fighting, he tripled his strength from the ratio of me getting stronger to him(1-3). The rank ended, and I once again got first place, and Nferno came up 2nd, and MegaPower21 got 3rd, this time Nferno was so close from eclipsing rank 1.

During January, my ISP went down for 5 days, and at this time, Fear Tetsuo must have passed my skill level, or maybe I got rusty, but when I got my ISP back, Fear Tetsuo treated me like a rag, he beat me up and down, left and right, and then I thought about Token, and how he beat me so badly. I tried my best against fear tetsuo, but my Red Ryu and red Sentinel just came up short most of the time against this new person. He went through a transformation, and this transformation made him the current best player in the site. And I'm at the place like I was before TOC1 started. Suddenly, Zing made news that TOC3 is coming up, so I had to get prepared to win back my title, but something unexpected will haunt me....


Coming up, TOC3 has come! Jump lock destroys one of my main strategies, and... WHAT!!!! My Red Ryu, and red Sentinel are gone?!?!?! NOOO!!!!! Tune in in a few.

I read everything...pretty interesting stuff...although it's pretty familiar to me due to the other times i've read your autobiographies.

I remember much of that stuff...and BOY that MegaPower21 sure was rank hungry...he wasn't even that good...at times his record was at a 1:2 ratio. He played a whole lotta sites though.

I don't get it, back in that day, what made a Red Ryu special? Was a Red Ryu special just because he's Red? Or was it for another reason? ??? And what would make a Blue, Green, and Black Ryu special, if a Red One is so special ???[B]

Red Ryu was so special because he was just that, red... back in the day it was always white Ryu vs grey Ryu, but me and Lordcyris(who had a blue Ryu), it was like gold, you wanted to see it, it was so shiny, you were tired of seeing copper. Oh, and I guess another reason why it was so special was because it came with red sentinel.



Okay, now beginning TOC3....



After Fear Tetsuo passed my skill level, I had to train like there was no tomorrow, I kept fighting other opponents and winning, but whenever I fought Fear Tetsuo, I always lost. I also realized that Nferno passed my level when my ISP was down, so there were 2 people that I had to contend with. Just before TOC3 was about to start, TMyApp implented a jump lock system, this system was that you can only jump 3 times every ten seconds, and no more, until the ten seconds comes, while then, if you try to super jump, you would just jump. I hated this implention, since super jumping a lot is what I always did, it's what I've been doing since back in the day, that's how those fights are intense, you find your opponent, you do a super, but you miss, he does the same, and you dodge it, it's like a find and hunt site, this really limited me more, and further brought my skill level down.

Fear Tetsuo hated it, but he easily got used to it, and soon enough, he got better from the jump lock than he did when there was no jump lock, so that made the gap even stronger between me and him, him having the advantage. That day, CptnAmerica came back from retirement, we fought and I barely won. We both gave eachother some advice, but he inspired me more, that I shouldn't be intimidated by the jump lock, I should fight it out like I've done back in the day, with the heavy lag when Wolverine came, and dashing, and how I over came the strongest of players to win TOC1, and so I did, and I got a little better, but my confidence level was raised.

TOC3 came that day, and when I logged on to fight, WHAT?!?!?!?!?!!! NOO!!!!! My... my Red Ryu!!! Red Sentinel!!!! It was gone, gone gone gone... for the tournament so I wouldn't have the upper hand, I would have to fight like everyone else, this lowered my confidence level, and my skill level, since I've been used to the Red Sentinel so much that I forgot how to use the regular helpers, so I really had to change my strategy, but not in a fast way, since we were only beginning the preliminaries. The day TOC3 came, I was treated like a dirty dog, I was surprised with myself, and others were too. They looked at my top scores rank, which was at 370-5 before, now I has 50+ losses. People saw me declining, as if my time has passed on, I passed on the torch to Fear tetsuo, although it seemed like it, I would not let that saying catch up with me, I would be try to be the first person to not let that happen to.

TOC3 preliminaries was set like this. You can only fight 5 people everyday(or I believe so) from the tournament, there was a page at senshukentaikai where you submit your wins and losses. Most days I went 4-1, and 3-2, and others, I went 2-3. Everyday Fear tetsuo wanted to challenge me, but I would always try to dodge his acceptance, but everyday, I would always submit to him, we would fight, and I would lsoe rounds very close, or lose them horribly to conserve super meter for the next round, reminded me of Zing, except I was kind of aging, and Fear Tetsuo was in his prime. I ranked 25-9 in the preliminaries, good enough to get in the sweet 16. I forgot who I fought in the sweet 16, but aging players have their way against rookies, I douced him 3-0. PROfe$$or was the next challenge, and him gave me a run for my time, as he did in the preliminaries, he still couldn't beat me as I snuffed him 3-0.

My next match in the semifinals was first ranked Slk_Rik. He had the best point record in TOC3, I don't know how he did it, he was pretty silent in TOC3, but was ranked the best in the tournament, but he wasn't a favorite to win. Since he was better ranked, he hosted first, I won the first site, he won the 2nd, and I won the next to to advance to the finals against the winner of the Nferno666 vs Fear tetsuo winner. I wanted Nferno666 to win so we could play in the finals for the first time ever, it's what I wanted in TOC2(him or Nferno666 actually). He was the favorite to win Ewalks tourney as he posted the best record in the preliminaries. In TOC1, he lost in the 3rd round to a lagging Imagination/Wrestlemania 3-1, he overslept and din't make it to TOC2, so TOC3 would probably been his only/best chance so far.

here was the lowdown on the fight, Fear tetsuo won the first 2 which put him up 2-0, Nferno was stressed out, so he changed to his better computer. If Nferno lost, he would lose in a sweep and be eliminated. Nferno won the next 2 which put it in a best of 5 series. The best 2 players currently in the site going at it in one final match in the tournament for both players(I was ranked 3rd in my opinion). With honor, and the skill level, a Fear Tetsuo in his prike beat an emotional Nferno666 to advance to the finals to face me, I was disappointed that Nferno lost. When Me and Fear Tetsuo had to fight, I bickered at him, but he just wanted to fight(Fear Tetsuo, if you're reading this, I'm sorry for bickering at you before and after the series, please forgive me). I didn't have Ramen noodles with me as there was no more, it was about 9:00pm EST when we both fought. Fear tetsuo won the first 2 of intense matches, and then like the fight with Token, I became transed again, like my life was on the line, or if that 2nd rate person I was always came back to haunt me again, NO! I would have none of this, I will never be 2nd rate, I will beat the person I trained, and avenge Nferno666. Match 3, I exactly did that, it was very close, but I won, so it was 2-1 his lead. Match 4 would be very intense. We won both rounds, so this round was the most crucial to me. It was a close fight, at the end, he had more life, but if we got hit by a Shinkuu Hadouken, we would both lose, and the other player would win. I did my Shinkuu Hadouken, but he dodged it, he teleported, and did his behind my back.....

ugh!!!!!!! .....I lost, I lost the finals to Fear Tetsuo 3-1. I was mad at him, I continued to bicker at him, he apologized, but he said he was doign what he was supposed to, to win, just like Token. He shouldn't have apologized to him, I should've and I did that, once again fear Tetsuo, if you're reading this, I'm sorry for bickering at you, you were the best player ever, not me, even with my Red Ryu and Red Sentinel, even at my prime, you woudl still beat me, your just like Token, except because of me, Token never got to show his stuff geneally to the public. SO he had the title, and I suffered my first TOC loss, and my 2nd tournament loss at the finals match up(first one was to Lordcyris). People in the chat were saying to not feel down that I lost, I was, but then I quickly got over it.


Coming up next, I joined a clan through pressure, but no more, a new tournament comes? More people than TOC1?!? I can't wait! 4 player comes and people break the chat.

Okay, a little bit after TOC3, Fear tetsuo did something that he hated the most about Project X, he lost his title because He told Stealth_Dragon the password to the Drunken Smashers. Stealth_Dragon told Fear that he was a part of Drunken Smashers and had forgot the password, Fear then told Stealth_Dragon the password, Zing somehow over heard and stripped Fear tetsuo of his title and gave it to me. Although I got the title, I didn't feel anything, you know, something you get doesn't mean anything if you didn't strive for it, like if you won one million dollars from the lottery, yet you dind't play, it doesn't mean anything that you got the time, even though your freakin rich, although that would never ever happen.

During the aftermath of TOC3, I didn't play the site much anymore, but I joined the Drunken Smashers since I kept getting bugged, don't remember who though. Anyways, a known player named asshole and I were talking about rank, and he said he wanted to be rank, and he wanted to be rank 1, this was a time where I decided to help people some, but not as heavily as I used to do where I trained people so much. So this is how it went, he went on the "player" user name and I beat the crap out of him and he wouldn't fight back, and after enough wins, he would log on to his regular name and then beat the crap out of me and scre higher than me, on and on this kept happening until the scores reset.

Nferno was racking up points by fighting a lot of people, they would challenge him, not he to them, he just kept fighting and fighting. I think we only fought a few times, he being the victor, and he said I wasn't trying, and he was right, sometime after I fought Fear tetsuo, I said to myself, what's the point, I crank up 85% against Nferno, but I don't crank it up all the way, for one, I felt that he should get rank 1, and another is that he didn't give me the same challenge Fear Tetsuo/Token/Zing did. I'm not saying his weaker, but it's like you have a friend, this friend has never achieved this status before, and has worked his life for it, well both of you are at this place to achieve the status, and you've done it before, but he's worked so hard. You want him to win, so even though you give it your best, you don't give it your "ultimate best". Okay if you're confused, this is what I mean.

Two people are in a fight, one relies on punches, the other relies on kicks, the kick person is a great fight, but not so great with his fists, vice versa with the other fighter. The kicking fighter uses his kicks, and some punches in the fight, and the punching fighter just gives it his all, somewhat realising that the kick fighter is using the weaker pucnhes in which the punch fighter can easily counter, if you don't get this then here's an easy one, two people are racing, one is slightly better than the other, the better at the near end slows down to let the other person wins, but he doesn't slow down completely, just slightly slows his pace.

Anyways where was I, oh yeah... Fear tetsuo still had his dominance, whenever I fight him, he beats me, everytime, and this one what he said shocked me. He said he wasn't trying when I almost beat him. Was this like manontherun vs me in TOC2? Me being manontherun and him being TarkanX? I realized that you can't always have your status, you have to give it up sometime, even though you think, and it's clearly seen that there's no way that someone can outrun you, it's happened everywhere, sports especially. I then found myself talking in the chat more than I played.

I found myself and asshole on the top, but then suddenly PROfe$$or(Im going to just use Pro since I don't feel like typing signs) came out on top. It was Asshole, Me, Nferno, and Pro respectively. On the last days, Pro dominated the top scores and finished first by far, even further than me in the first top scores. I wasn't really disappointed, since I wasn't achieving for it, yet pro was mocking the top 5 players. Asshole felt like he could've done better, but he didn't really give a damn, Nferno felt pissed but mostly depressed.

I think on that day, 4 player came, but it came a while later, I was in the chat servers waiting, and I was actually happy for this(but I can't tell the future, so I wouldn't know the dark sides of it). There were some previews about a few months before 4 player came at senshukentaikai, there were also characters like Sagat as a helper, but he never showed up. When 4 player came, I refrshed the site, and went into the chat, me, Nferno, Fear tetsuo, and some other person(TMyApp or Lordcyris), all of us played the 4 player, and what I thought of it was far from expected. There were so many glitches, huge bugs that really needed to be fixed, but hey, it was just released. One bug that was in there was that if you were getting hit by a beam super, you can tag out your character even though you're getting hit, I believed this also worked for other supers as well.

Now I really knew there was no hope in getting to the best player in the site, with this lag, ti was impossible to do anything, even if you had a super computer, most of my site I had lost. This wasn't XvSF, this was Wack-a-Mole.


Coming up, WT idea inspired, but comes to a premature end, I suck in clans, and Sentinel gives me hope!

At this point(a little while after 4 player). I wasn't good anymore, I mean, I sucked, I couldn't do anything, 4 players lag was too horrendous, not even the laggiest player lag this bad, Imagine 4 FPS against Manontherun + Wrestlemania. I never went up against that, but my FPS was constantly around 7, I closed programs, closed task bars, but it still wasn't enough, my FPS was always low that I couldn't do anything. I had nothing left to do except, retire, but when I tried to retire, it was like the site said... "come". I can't explain it, btu I'm sure some of you players had heard this before, I couldn't quit, and whenever I wanted to, it would just "force" me to the site.

But then there was a big tournament, the SOF held by Lordcyris and Asshole which held 140 people, 35 players more than in TOC1, but it was a failure like any tournament besides TOC series. Only about 20 people I believe showed up on the day of the tournament, the mistake that the SOF made was that you can't hold a tournament in one day, especially if it's filled with ####ies, tournaments that did that were either very small, or failed, TOC1 wasn't held in one day, TOC2 was, but most of the roster were with well praised fighters, but there were some absences, TOC3 wasn't held in one day, and I think that's the 2nd best tournament ever, it was skill vs skill, well praised, and known fighters going at ti with eachother, who wouldn't want to watch/hear about those fights?

But SOF was a failure indeed, so I had a new plan. I called it the WT, initials for Weekly Tournaments, registration begins the day the previous WT ends, and the WT begins on friday midnight(which would be Saturday). My first 3 WT's only gathered about 12 players combined, 2kWarrior, Nferno, KKS, and Wrestlemania were the main/only fighters of the tournament, in late May, I said I would be disbanding the WT's.

I found myself posting in the forum more than I played, I had a couple of big threads including the DBZ vs SF thread in which me and Nantuko, along with others seriously went at it, with continous intereference by ####ies, and there was the learning thread where I posted forms of english, although only a few listened, and those who did just posted to up their post count(for the most part).

The only fighting I did was with Sentinel, since I was plain bad with most of the characters. the glitch helped me a lot in fight, but when it was implented, I just quit the serious fighting, and just played to be a punching bag. I tried to lecture the ####ies in the chat, yet no one answered, they just talked among themselves

I don't know why I joined the WT's, I only had like 10 wins joining about 20 WT's, I was completely out of it. I had comments like "get a new computer", well I have been using this computer since the site started, and have been through the seriousness of lag, I even used other computers, and they were just as bad, even though they were 3 times more powerful.

I wrote faqs for characters, and mainly gave advice to the people who gave a damn of what I said or did. I went crazy that I made a topic flaming ####ies and got banned by Lefty, I apaologized a while later(about a week later), and got unbanned. Things were going really slow in project x, whenever I tried to quit, I'd come back and get my ass handed to by these fearless youngsters. The site was made up of people between 7-15, which in my opinion is bad, back then we had people 17+, so they would understand and listen to what you said, whether or not you were good, now(or at least before the site shut down), people would only fight you if you were a ####ie, if you had a retarded user name, or if you were in the top 20. I never got in the top 3 after the end of the 3rd top scores in which Pro got 1st rank.

I made a clan called Shadowloo, but that ended qickly, as I grew out of the site, I made a farewell post and came back one month later, I would've came back anytime, and I was tempted to, as every 4 days I would spy on the forum. I went to some "big" tournaments for their time like the Vet tourney(which I overslept), the tourney by Haohmaru in which I got a quick first round exit. The only thing I could do now is... host a tourney of my own.

I planned this tourney with Tidus a year back, but he was too busy to do anything, so I had to do this alone, btu with another crucuial helper and friend, Scorponok. With Scorponok willing to help me anytime, I had secured the part of having to seriously rely on the person. The tournament which was called the world warrior seemed like the next TOC1, and that's what I wanted it to be, even better. I got 100 people in the tournament, the 3rd highest in XvSF online history of tournaments, but the first round was disappointing. About 70% of players only fought, and I figured if no one, not even the fighters who play a lot want to play in this tournament, then there's no point in going on, so I cancelled it, people minded, but they didn't IM me about it, so that I guess meant that no one seriously cared.

About 4 days later, I got an IM from Viper about the site closing down, it was a letter from Marvel, and has the exact words on what the front page link has. That would've made the bell ding that my tournament should be canned, since I planned to end the tournament later than July 11(the day the site closed down). After July 10, I dind't post for a long time until today, today/and yesterday I want(ed) to share to you veterans, and ####ies about my bio on XvSF, and the bio and fad on the site, from trends, to emotions, from the players in-depth, to the site in-depth, I hope you all take the time to read this, and not complain about it, this is very educational for everyone, whether you're the smartest person in the world, or not.

I know I forgot somethings like how I destroyed clans in September, I'm having a flu right now, so I can't concentrate to my full capacity, but I'm constantly drinking water, even to this point. I also forgot some members who helped me play the site and enjoy it, which is everyone I've played, and has either received somehting benefical from me, or I received something beneficial form them. I know the site is down, and will most likely be like this, but that doesn't mean you have to go into a state of panic, we can all join hands mentally, and work through this, remember the suposed war with the USA and russia in the early 60's? people thought this would be the end, but it didn't happen, thanks to critical thinking, and mind tactics by the people who had no fear, we made it out alive for future generations.

to my surprise again, you were one of the few to actually go HEAD TO HEAD, HAND TO HAND almost never throwing hadokens except for closing-in move.

my goal was to hold on to at least 70 seconds, but the fight got finished at 30 seconds, more then i could have ever dreamed !
you were the only one to have gave me the fight of my life back then, the one fight that got me playing the XvsSF even more then i was before !

all of the clans that has been defeated mainly disbanded right after, seeing how they got easily owned by him, they saw no more needs for the clans !

A person who has helped me with my limited knowledge about computers, you gave me hard fights, and though we never fought in the tournament finals, the fights we had were just that.

RESIDENT EVIL: Never fought you when I was good, but you win lots of WT's, so I assume that your a great fighter, one of the best for your time.

LORDCYRIS: One of the first top players I ever fought, I remember how you beat me in Necro's tournament, I was sad and mad, but happy for you. You are very underated, and hidden now, but back then, you were a praised fighter, someone I feared a lot.

JR: Nice, and talented fighter, sometimes I would go on my other screen name(which I hardly use), and snuff Jr out, pretending that I beat TarkanX. Slightly underated.

DARKMASTERX: I trained you, and you came out strong. You told me a lot about your day, and I have a relation to hearing about peoples Bios.

meh ive been ON the site since dec01 meh just never was really on. good 2 be recognised though....back then i was a no1. Skeevis and and Thenuge were the only people i spoke 2 back then and coolplaye..by the way coolplayer was around then.
Also i played Pamilio in his prime.......when i was a noob. and Whooped him. Great Post TarkanX. It really bring me back to the old days when this site was at its best. TMYAPP-You really shoulve released OLD SCHOOL VERSION, this site wouldve flourished and been great again. If you wanted to you could always release it through a fan site and keep it on the down low. I have had fun while I was here, even though alot of you made me very unwelcome in the site. I enjoyed watching the site evolve from only having ryu to having wolverine, chun li, ryu, sentinal, cyclops, and 4 player mode. *looks toward the sky, and thinks back to happier day's..... * I remember when I just started, I had no idea what I was doing. So to say the least everyone beat my ass. But as time went on my skill grew, I became able to beat mvc2sucks, stealth_dragon, jdog, and umj. Soon after TarkanX won the tocI I became able to beat subzero(i thought he was really good, so I was happy when I beat him). TarkanX was hailed as the best xmvssf player, Nferno666 was right behind him. Needless to say I wasnt that good at the time so when ever I challenged TarkanX or Nferno666 I did'nt put up much of a fight. TarkanX gave me some tip's along the way so I could improve my skill's, which it has done. I really wasnt well known throughout the site, my name was ssjmajinvegeta at the time. I was just an average fighter. It was the day of the tocII, I had registered under the name XMVST(xmen vs street fighter), i wanted XMVSSF but it was taken. I had heard that TarkanX could'nt join because he had already won the previous tournament, and Nferno666 woke up late so I had the best chance to win the tournament.Well I eliminated all of the fighters in the tournemt untill it was me and manontherun. I won the first match and he won the last 2 matches. After I lost the first match he hosted, which was very bad in my favor since the lag was unbareable. Well I was pissed after I lost it, so I decided to take a break for like a week or two. I then registered under the name fear_tetsuo.Well it was january, I was playing the site all the time to get better then I was. The more and more I faught TarkanX, the better I got at the site. It was during the week that TarkanX did'nt play because of his isp , that I finally became able to beat him. I took the advice he gave me about fighting and combined it with the knowledge that I had gained about how lag works. No, I did not lag on purpose to win fights. You see lag was a rythm to it, ie:teleporting,meter going from 0 to 1 in 2 seconds,no health going down, etc...IDk, i just understood how lag worked, and combine with what TarkanX taught me, I became unbeatable. Well when TarkanX returned I asked him for a fight, and he accepted. And it was then I finally won against him, I could'nt believe it. I thought It was a fluke, a one time thing. But it wasn't, I was actually able to beat TarkanX. My next task was to beat Nferno666, just to make sure I was as good as I thought. Well I faught Nferno666 and I had beaten him, I thought he would be cool with having someone else to give him a challenge but he was'nt. He was the most pissed I have ever seen. But I did'nt really care if he was mad, but then once people found out I could beat the best in the site everyone starting making bull sh*t post's about how I am the biggest lagger ever. Ppl saying i lagged to win was the excuse at the time to discredit with my wins against Nferno and TarkanX. I mean what is the easiest way to have ppl dislike someone who can beat you? Telling everyone that they lag to win. Well it was the tocIII, the only people from the registered list I had to worry about was TarkanX and Nferno666. I breezed through the competition, i didnt really care about fighting good ppl to get my score high since i knew i would just beat everyone i faced in the actual bracket part of the tourney.I am not cocky, i am confident.I dont really remember who i had to play in the bracket part of the tourney accept Nferno666 and TarkanX. Well then I was told to fight Nferno666. We faught, I won the first and second match he won the third and forth, then I won the last one( i think that is how it went down, not sure though).I had to let Nferno666 win, what would everyone think about a #### coming out of nowhere and beating Nferno666 3-0, the best in the site? Needless to say he complained alot, but I had other things to worry about like beating TarkanX to win the tournament. Well me and TarkanX faced off for the tournament. We went 2-2 with me winning the last match, I beat TarkanX and won the tournament. I had done it, I had beaten the best of the best and won a tournament, now i would be known as the best.I was so happy to win this tourney, I thought that by winning everyone would beg me for a fight and want to play against my Red Ryu and Sentinel. Well I waited a week for Zing79 to make the announcements for the tocIII, but still nothing. Then he told me that I was dq'd from the tournament because I had given Stealth_Dragon the password for the smasher's, which had nothing to do with the tournament. So as you may have guessed I was pissed off. It was pretty clear that there were personal reasons to why I was Dq'd, Zing never did like me and bitched at me alot when the jump lock was going to be put in and around the tourney. Well the b*tch post's about my lag continued, but eventually died down when ppl realized that they werent true and just using lag as an excuse for why they lost. Well 4 player mode was supposed to be realeased evry soon and talked up to be very good. I was actually excited to be able to play as part of a team with TarkanX and Nferno666. Well Me, TarkanX, Tmyapp, and lordcyris(i think) all tried it out. It was horrible, my fps dropped to like 5, which means the site would run very slow for me. I couldnt even do a haduken with the FPS I had. so i waited for tmyapp to release some updates to fix 4 player mode, but I still couldnt do anything. So Thats when I retired, I would come back from time to time to check on new characters and features. I would have some back if TMYAPP had released OLD SCHOOL VERSION, since it would be the site like it was back around the time of the toc1 and 2 but...... I am real sad to see the site go, I actually did have fun here.

I don't remember the exact date I began playing, but it was quite a long time ago. Looking for something to do on the internet, i stumbled across arcadepod.com. While looking through a bunch of sites, I found "X-Men versus Street Fighter Online." Thinking it was going to be a PvC site, I clicked on it. That's when I discovered that it was a PvP.

I registered under the screenname "Nantuko_Joe."

Entering the site, however, I was fairly disappointed. The only character you could use was Ryu. I had never really played a SF site before, and didn't know the controls in the site. I tried to fight a few guys but got my ass kicked. So i quit.

A few weeks later, I stumbled back onto the site and signed in, and we could use Wolverine as well.

In my zeal to begin playing, my first match was against someone named "token." He was Ryu, I was Wolverine.

He kicked my ass. Perfect both times.

Later that day, I challenged someone by the screenname of "TarkanX." It was a Ryu vs Ryu fight. After whomping my ass, he asked if I was new. I said yes. So he became my "sensei" of sorts, and taught me how to play the site, how to use Ryu's moves, specials, and a few basic strategies.

Exiting, I played my first REAL match, challenging a screenname "steventhebol." It was a fairly close match, but he still kicked my ass.

A few months later, it was December 2001, I registered here at ProjectX under the alias of Shauku15. Not too long thereafter, I registered again under the name "Nantuko Joe."

Not too long after registering, I began to pick up more tips and strategies from other veterans of the site. I soon met up with a forumer under the name "Dan Hibiki." We quickly became forum "friends," (since I don't consider someone a real friend if i havn't met them in real life). A little later, one named Selvin was advertising for his XMvsSF clan, known as "The Smashers." I asked if I could join, and was accepted into the clan. The clan, at that point, consisted of myself, Selvin, Dan Hibiki, weezer, and j-dog014. It was mere weeks afterward that we became the "Drunken Smashers."

I can still remember the day I logged on. It was mid-october, a friend told me to go to arcadepod.com and search for this x-men site.

A few days earlier, two of my friends were talking about this "Nferno666" guy that kept beating them. So they told me to give it a shot. Anyone that knows me knows I'm not much for video sites, and was skeptic at first. but I went ahead and played anyway. I found this mysterious Nferno666 character, played him, and shared the same fate as my friends, a rapped one :biggrin:

Oddly enough, I found myself playing everyday. Every chance I got. Not knowing what a forum was, and I had never been to one, I didn't register till the following january. I wouldn't have registered at all, but I had a bone to pick w/ PROfessor, lol.

I could tell I was going to be in this community for a long time. So I decided to get my history in check. So I'll know what ppl are talking about when the bring up past events. While I was doing this, Zing79 created a thread about TOC2. I knew I was new, but said what the hell, how bad could I do? I didn't do bad at all, or good, since(like Nferno) I woke up too late to fight.

Two PX mods, Quass and Zing79 had created their own fan site, w/ their own forum. Like everyone else, I stopped by and took a look. I had then been talking to physicals r scary at that time. His sick, twiztid humor interested me. He created his own clan "Clan Killaz" and I joined, along w/ 2000warrior, Jr. subzero658, and maybe others, can't remember. Not really "knowing" him at the time, I later found out his leadership skills were poor at best. He quit, and gave leadership to whoever claimed it. I left the same day, and PMed Zing asking if he could get me into this Shotokan Masters clan I had heard much about. He replied back the same day, and said "your in" I was overjoyed.

Not too long after, Zing hosted his third Tournament of Champions. I was very seasoned, and thought I had a good chance. You would fight everyone that signed up as you could. After each day, you would send your wins to Zing via e-mail. I can still remember seeing super_sonic_x in the servers everyday. "c'mon super, it's a brand new day :D" "I don't want to fight you again KKS, you always beat me." Good times, good times. Anyway, after a few days, it came down to the Sweet 16. I can't remember everyone, but I remember in our clan, slk rik, PROfessor, and myself advanced. I was so excited. Many signed up for TOC 3, and I advanced. I was confident now...untill I saw who my first round opponent was: Tarkan X. The X-man himself. But I didn't let that bring me down. I still thought I had a chance(what a fool I was). Fought him, got rapped, and that was all she wrote. But I have always believed in learning more from losing than winning, and I did.

Clan Killaz, Shotokan Masters, and SMASHERS!!! were the first three clans. I don't care what anyone says, for that first few months, we owned. Zing, PROfessor, slk rik, Quass, physicals r scary, and myself were the first(if I remember correctly) we dominated, for a while of course. After a few weeks, many many clans came. Some stayed, and some didn't last. After is was clear that clans were hear to stay, Zing created a clan tournament, known as Clan Wars. To make a long story short, it was horribly held. It was not Zing's fault, but the clan leaders. Most of them had the IQ of mayo, and simply couldn't follow the registration procedures. After much work, the "war" came down to a simple battle: Shotokan Masters vs. Dark Knights. DK was a force to be reckoned with.
SM took the first 3 wins. After that, we were sure it was in the bag, but no, DK took the next 3 wins. It came down to one final fight, and DK took that as well. They were the first CW winners.

SM leader, slk rik, had become very inactive. I talked to him less and less as the days went by, and soon was simply gone. I took over leadership unofficially. When a clan battle came up, I took care of it. New members, I took care of it. I finally saw rick on msn one day, and asked for full leadership. He said, "take a knee. I dub thee, KidKrazy$hit, new and officially leader of SM" haha. With my hands fully untied, I wanted to do so many things, and I did. First off was gettin rid of annoying members, and getting new ones. We had this guy, YYY in the clan. I dropped him like a bad habit. Almost dropped Dan Yankees(no one had seen him for months) but someone convinced me otherwise. Many members we had in the beginning, and after I became leader are still in the clan.

If I recall correctly(remember so far back is hard =/) this was the time I had become a mod at Senshuk. The line up was: Quass, Zing, Dan Hibiki, and itssounfair. To not waste your time w/ small details, eventually I became and admin. Quass basically told me to do whatever I needed to do to keep the place in check. Dan and itsso left the community a while later. Needing help, we recruited Dark Masta, and after the gfx section was added(damn whoever did that) BLOODREDPUNK joined. Needing a webmasters Quass recruited 2000warrior as a webmaster and a mod.

..and I'm all out of time for today. I'll finish this the next chance I get.

the heck why i do this as well...

i remember the first day i found this.
it was mid september. i was at school (professional one for computers) the first half yeatr was so dull and boring, we all had our own computer in the class. we were dozens to be so advanced on others that we started to play LAN siteS during class, until our teacher forbidden us to play sites on the computer and locked our hard drives. but we had a cool teacher, he said we'll play a site together, you break thru my security and i'll update it everytimes ! which meant that he didn't cared if we passed thru his security. he wouldn't get mad at us either.

so myself and some others knew about shockwaves sites and JAVA ones, so we started to look for sites over the net ! i showed some friends a site called FREEARCADES.com or something like that, un believely i found XMEN in the site and on the net searching google.com

i said myself, what the heck is XMEN VS STREET FIGHTER ?
i was playing the site itself by using an emulator, but since i couldn't play it anymore cause of the hard drive security. i said whatr the heck, i'll try it just for fun !

so i clicked the site...
first problem i had, th esite wouldn't install SHOCKWAVE cause of the damn HDD security. so i found an alternate and sent my downloads to my ZIP DRIVE. which made me play. first thing i did once i saw the intro was to create a name for myself. back then i was called Rummy19. but i found it not mush for a fighting fan, so i decided to go with my personnal DBZ char i had made with a friend for a fanfic.

once logged i got to the options and then after configuring i loaded up the TRAINING to see what i could do, i was sure like hell to find a very poor sites like the rest of what was found on the net. poor enough, i found out that i couldn't choose anyone except ryu. he was the only playable char back then. i also found out that the training mode was all about BARNEY the TRAINING DUMMY that do not do #### but stay still in the screen !

after practicing the moves and finding that they were most likely almost not possible cause of key detection problems. i got to the servers and challenged some opponent. the site till now didn't appealed to my eyes. i got owned by everyone i fough. they were all saying GG which i didn't even knew what it was all about. so i asked them ! i was disgusted byt the ####### damn lag we had, i never had a chance to be at my best.

the opponent was disappearing and reappearing the other side, i didn't even had a second for seeing it, alweays teleporting everywhere on the screen ! it was the most horrible lag i had ever seen ! i was so shocked that i didn't kept the address and didn't even wanted to try it home on my 33,6 which i still have !

so i stopped playing for a whole of time, still i was wondering how could that site be so fluid while all other sites made in shockwave were all choppy as hell !

about a month later, it was october 2001. i had played th esite here and then but never really paying attentions to it. playing updates by updates ! i joined the forum to see what it was really, never have had saw a forum before in whole life. it was time to learn about it. i found a big community that was around 300 people big ! it wasn't much and i thought the hell how many times have this thing been online ? never knew it was that new to the world !

and so my FORUM life started, i first read what people wrote, didn't even bothered to answer cause i didn't want to interfere in peoples discussion. but after a week of reading, i finally decided to test out those buttons i had at the bottom of the pages. first topic i wrote was in STRATEGY section. there no CHALLENGE section yet, yet the forum wasn't very popular at all back then. can't remember what TOPIC it was, but they were talking about a certain TARKANX being th ebest around, so i decided to show off what i was made off !

what a fool i was, my objectif was to at least old until the 70 seconds limit ! to my surprise he accepted the challenge and the next day i found him in the chat rooms, so i challenged him and we played. i lost both matches so damn easily that i couldn't even say how good i was. but one thing surprised me to the maximum, lag was a lot less with him then others. because he was playing fair and square with punches and kicks. he was always never shooting hadokens !

some days after the new version came out with wolverine at the top, stargely enough the TOP PLAYERS int he RANKS were all wolvie users back then ! there was so much bugs in wolverine that you could just do berserker barage all day and ryu users couldn't do anything ! that bug was called the CORNER TRAP BUG ! that bug folllowed us for a long time. and there was that X BUTTON SMASHING that HEALS YOUR CHAR bug also ! it was the most horrible charcater ever full of bugs !

but things got better, i was playing a lot back then and i noticed how lag was part of the site and then i found out that the only ay to play was to not see your opponent coming, but throwing moves at random hoping to catch your opponent. then chunli appeared as well... she was the solution to many problems with her tripple jump ! cause many were displeased by ZING JUMP LOCK feature !

then i started to hear about a special thing... a special event, the very first one in XvsSF online history ! NOTS ! or Night Of The SENTINELS. a lot of suggestion came out in our little head, the forum got filled with idea's ! interesting enough what everyone had in mind was the FIRST AI to appear in this site. no more TRAINING DUMMY we were saying ! then boom, it came out, to all our surprises SENTINEL was a... PLAYABLE CHAR !!!!!!!!! he was the fourth one. we all knew that tmyapp was making CYCLOPS but never have we ever considered the new sentinel character ! now we knew why CYCLOPS was so much delayed ! he took almost 6 months to do !

the FIRST DWX came in afterward. it was cool and TMYAPP was saying that if we liked nots then we would veryly enjoyed DWX cause it was like 50x better then nots ! but we never saw it coming out, we had the DWX CHRONICLES and that password encrypted that we had to decrypt, it was cool but not super !

*outside note* i found out later why he used the ROT13 serial number for the sentinel in the message. ROT13 ius the encryption method used by many developper to hide simple codes !

anyway...
the 4player version came out afterward too, actually it camed out with cyclops, or so i believe ! cyclops brought back the story back and the light of the day as well if we had followed the story !

the SOF tournament had started as well...
first tourney i really stepped in, why ? cause the version we were using was the best for me, i could see my opponent coming and th ebuttons were now responding to every key pressed !

it got canned so fast...
i was disappointed...
i was known by then in th eforum, but in site i wa sjust a ghost that happenned to be heard sometimes !

a year later as a gift for the first anniversary of the site, we received a special present, was not big but still. it was to clebrate the first of the site ! can't remember what it is, i would say ONSLAUGHT and the story mode, but i'm not sure exactly. i think onslaught came in with spiderman ! oh well...

the vet tourney came in, and to my surprise i was accepted in it while others that were more known then me weren't invited to. i found out that they were known inthe battle and in the chat rooms but not in the forum which i was there for a long time !

no need to go on, you all know the next things...
UPDATES after UPDATES SPIDERMAN arrival, the arrival of the story mode and the likes.
by then, i was no more of a forum junky !
i needed my fix of the day and every since, each day of my life as had a little 1 hours at the least to give to this site !

for the last two years... i've dedicated about 1 or 2 sometimes 3 hours of each day to this forum.
i made friends.
i made great fights and holded my own at the end.
but the worst of it.
i liked all of it without exception.
that's mainly why i'm still here after almost two years !

that about sum it all up !
except that like many people, i tryed to do a lot to get attention.

My Story:

well how can i start this. oh yes here we go. it was october when i went to this site sitebrew.com. where i search for good sites and i never found out about XvsSf online. and then one day in the mid-of october i saw this pick of ryu. it was cool since when i click it show a great background with all the street fighters and x mens. then when i started playing was when i register as Manny252. but then i decided to get a new name and i made it Black_Goku. after a month i meet Vegetablack . me and him became real good friends. after i meet a kid i cant remenber his name but he taught me all the moves for ryu. such as , hadouken , shinkuu hadouken , kicking special, uppercut( not shoryuken) and other moves for the characters. then he told me that if u need anything else to go to menu=>faq. after a week i started fighting againbst ppl and guess what i lost to a single player i played lol. after me and Vegetablack team up and kick some ass since he did all the work and i died lol. after another week i meet turbomen aka S-T-L. me and him became partners, real good partners. then me and him fought together. after 3 weeks i saw a kid, well i though it was a kid but it was a teenager. his name is YourAssIsMy. he told me to join his site for a sec.i said ok.

The Sayian Arena. it was one of the greatest clan i ever been since i was the CO LEADER!. it was great been it. my members were supersayianz10, prime minista, wrestlemania a and some other ppl cant remenber, oh yes VegA. and thats it cant remenber. later i started playing for rank and i got rank 1 on december 15 or around there with the help of wrestlemina. when i was in the clan i decided to make some banners for my members. i was good but not anymore. in january i came up with a new name i like called Resident_Evil2. i meet digitalfighter, da_vipa,solidsnake76,liquidsnake,d148(one of the best ryu user)

when i got resident_ evil2 i was real good with ryu. after the clan shut down because the leader left XvsSF. so it was shut down. and me and my members join a clan The Ruff Ryders. it was a great clan. i enjoin it for 2 months or so. then i left to join YourAssIsMy and d148 clan where it took 1 month. so now its march or april. after i meet some other friends like tmyapp! in the forum. but before i found out how to do forums. and i found Battle grounds( best forum i ever seen in it) and the official forum.

later on may i was rank 1 for many times and ppl started calling me a noob. which was stupid. then i saw some old friends and meet some more. and after in june i had alot of fun playing for rank.. plus i made my own forum where it was great since my admin are DA_VIPA, digital fighter , tupac2westsider, myself, and some great mods. but we all need members to see the new forum i eman our forum. after that site was............... and u know the rest. thats the ends i know its short and sloppy lol but its still great to read. enjoy my friends.

Well,I came on to google,bored as hell,this was round mid-Feb,
i was searching 4 some roms when i found X-Men VS Street-Fighter Online,i thought(Yes ppl i do think :D )Na,this cant be true,its probably a porn site,but well,i was a bit "dim" back then,so i clicked the url and here i was,i found it was easy at 1st,but the other me(Evil-Nas) took over,and i beat the crap
out of ppl.

My 1st fight really sucked,i mean,i was pretty good at sites,but a got rapped by this dude caller Profe$$er,and that kinda brought me down,back to earth.I didnt play much after then.Then i fought this guy called DALMERHARRIS,he
called him self the best vet thier was,i didnt know what a vet was back then,but i learned what ####ie was straight away,
DALMERHARRIS challenged me,i accepted and we fought,man it was wierd,i found him to easy,and here he was,rank 50 or below,and i won,that was a great feeling 4 me.

Then i found a true friend on the site,her name was TEXASGIRL,man,we could talk 4 ages me and her,it was very cool,well,the dude called Dark-Link who kept harrasing me and DALMERHARRIS,well me and him werent friends,but we fought like em,we fough Dark-Link 2on2,i can remember who fought with dark-link,but he was good.After that it was pretty dull,Dark-Link still harrased us/me more thatn HARRIS,then i
thought i could take him on by myself,i was wrong,he rapped me bad,then the real flaming begun,i took off after that,thinking i wouldent be able to play 4 awhile.

I took refuge in a forum called Senshuk,and it was the same there,i was flamed by a dude called J-Luna,and he was like the top flamer,I met a dude called (sub-zero) and became friends with him,he,like me,was flamed alot,so we both went
and found a clan called Dark-Killers,and took refuge in thier,lead by Ether,vet of the site,those wer the good days
of the site,then everything went wrong from there.

Senshuk sadly closed,and i had to go somewhere else,seek some refuge and then some friends,then i found the offical forum,ive been here before,but couldent be stuffed registering.
I got flamed and harrased here by some dude called Dark-Killer,bloody asshole,anyway,a dude called Lordgrobyc helped
me out through that and we both became great mates,he
introduced me into this clan and then i was happy.

Now this is were this story ends,now the present is here,site closed and everything looks like it wont come back,

part 2 of my tale

With Senshuk thriving, getting more members everyday, we began to have problems. ##### were getting out of control, and certain mods would just disappear w/ out a moments notice, then suddenly return(sometimes).

During this time, I had joined my next tourney after TOC 3(unless you include SOF, which was...ya know...$hit)
It was the Chunli Cat Fight, held by 2000warrior. I had been practicing w/ Chunli as soon as I heard of this tourney. I beat everone they threw at me. I do believe I beat super_sonic_x and TJ5 in that tourney, and a few others. It came down to me vs. BlackRob. Someone I'd never heard of. It was the best of three. We fought 2 matches, each going to round 3. The total time both matches took was 30 mins...yes, it was that intense. But in the end he beat me. Runner up isn't so bad, right?

The one year aniversery of XMvsSF online was coming up. People wondered what was in store for them, what tricks TMyApp had up his sleeve. But I myself also wanted to do something for the community. By this time I had made quite a name for myself, and thought it was time to host my own tourney. I knew if I hosted my own, that it would be semi-successful, but getting someone else, a PX mod to help, then it would be something. But I didn't just want some regular old tourney. This one had to be.....different, and it was. A tourney only for the respected and admired, a vet tourney. and so Vet Tournament 2002 was born. You can read about the vet tourney here (http://www.vgmfusion.com/senshuk/home/past/vet01.html). Once again, I made it to the last round, and had to fight GothicArchangel. It was a hard match, he's chunli was quite formitable, but in the end I had won, and I had won my first tourney. The winner was to receive a tournament banner in the servers, and I think a special helper. But I told tmy I didn't need any of that stuff(I'm not one to give him more work than needed). I didn't need any special stuff, I knew I won, and that was all that mattered.

It was august of 2002 if I remember correctly. It was 2:30 am est. JordanSux666, BLOODREDPUNK(who renamed himself blood) Zing and myself were on the forum. Blood was giving Quass and Zing major problems. Just spamming all over the place. I suppose he had some problems w/ Zing. Zing made a thread(and I believe only us 4 ppl saw it, since it was so late) saying if blood, who's a mod, keeps it up, he'll just take the forum down. blood tried to call what he thought was a bluff, and Zing showed he wasn't bluffing. It was the fall of a great forum. But little did ANYONE know that two admins of that forum had been planning for weeks what they would do after the senshuk forum fell(we could tell weeks in advance it would fall)

People were scared. Everyone loved their clan, and their clan battles. No one knew what would happen to them w/ the senshuk forum gone, since that forum held the private clan forums. n**bs everywhere tried creating their crappy forums, telling everyone to go to their forum b/c they were going to hold clan forums. Sorry to say, but KKS and Dark Masta had already planned on that. A week or so after the senshuk forum fell, The Battle Grounds forum went live, and on September 9th, 02' the BG site was up and running. We would have waited longer on the forum, but we didn't want ppl running to n**b forums thinking they were really going to hold clans now. Over the next 6 months or so the BG forum went threw many changes. Upgrading, etc..etc. Many bugs kept popping up, and once or twice we would have to switch to a new board. But our goal was successful...clans lived on.

Well i first stumbled across this site in late dec 2001, after a friend gave me the link so i went to it after all street fighter online sounded pretty cool i was interested on finding out who made it, why and how. Well i didn't feel like making a user name mainly because i wasn't sure if i would stay active, so i signed in as a player, skimmed through the faq. went into one of the servers i think big bertha cause i found that name to be funny. While in the server i tried to play people but i couldn't sync with anyone, and no one would challenge me so i got off after around 10 to 15 minutes and didn't come back for a week or two.

Around mid jan i was bored and had some time to kill, so i went to my favorites and found the project x link there so i said to myself what the hell lets give it another shot. This time i read the faq more carefully and discovered that i couldn't host and that in order to play i had to adjust some settings. A couple of minutes later i create this username mainly because i couldn't think of any thing better. SSJDan was born and ready to kick some ass, ofcourse i got my ass handed to me......many times. First match was against slk rik, i didn't bother practicing much against barney well i picked wolvy he picked ryu, after round one he told me about a clan, i just said this is my first site i may not be around long (boy was i wrong) well after i said this he pretty much owned me, so istarted practcing and playing more, i pretty much played anyone as long as they challenged me but after a while i kept playing professor, well i would n't really call it playing, more like getting owned, this kinda pissed me off so i ketp rematching him over and over and got a bit better. Some time in late jan or feb can't really remember, professor told me about sm and he thought i could get in at that time i was interested in looking to join a clan, my choices were between sm and cc mainly cause i played the members before and they seemed good. So i tried out for had to get tested by slk rik i beat him in the first site so we played again but this time he seemed to try more and ....well beat me pretty bad too if i recal correctly. Well i got in, met some cool people and started playing the members, i never joined any of the tocs mainly because i just missed toc2 and never thought i was good enough for the third one, i did join a couple of wts and some other tourneys but never won any. So if you wana remember me for some reason, just remember me as a regular user who just wanted to play a site against anyone, and proved that even without hosting you could still own people.

Now that had to be my longest post in a while...nest step whould have to be to finally make a topic at this forum :D

If I recall correctly(remember so far back is hard =/) this was the time I had become a mod at Senshuk. The line up was: Quass, Zing, Dan Hibiki, and itssounfair. To not waste your time w/ small details, eventually I became and admin. Quass basically told me to do whatever I needed to do to keep the place in check. Dan and itsso left the community a while later. Needing help, we recruited Dark Masta, and after the gfx section was added(damn whoever did that) BLOODREDPUNK joined. Needing a webmasters Quass recruited 2000warrior as a webmaster and a mod.
Last time I checked we both were made mods by Dan Hibiki. Then me,you, and BRP now known as blood

June 6, was my first day of this community(Under the name of SBYRD5) I was livily....hype and foolish.(Yeah, some of the more forum type vetereans recall these times. I hate that had such horrific grammar....well anyway. I log into the site as a player to see this cast of users in the chatroom.

Among those players I was there.... a master of super nintendo street fighter vs. X-MEN or playstation but computer......with only keys and lagg?

Didn't fair as well at first.My first fight was Jr.....sadily it was a Ryu vs. Ryu match I was man handled... =/

Then shortly after I went to the training with sentinal and learned how to do Hyper moves with the directional keys and such.

So I return to fight.......Tupacwestsider instead.....he defeated me completely......I felt worthless that was tell I became his student....but funny thing was he never tought me anything.....now TarkanX......well thats a little different.

Does anyone recall his Fighting Dojo.(Not Hadoken King's Dojo)
Man he taught me along with Elena and many others....we slowly improved,but we were better off than we were. So Leave his dojo to learn different styles to the site because he only mastered Ryu ulimately.....so I searched down....(NWA)SuperBoy.

I fought him in a hosted site by himself and he was getting ready to fight a user who took his name and said he was the 2nd........it was amazing.......I saw the first match Superboy(original handled his fake and then asked me what I had to offer.) I told him I wasn't the best but I would fight with everything I was...he laughed and said ok.

So he restarted his site and me and the other Superboy Fake rejoined his site(The fake wanted to watch) Well this was my first hosted site fight it was wierd. When we started he got first hit before I could even move(lagg) well it was a ryu vs. ryu. match......He performed some amazing feats.....I was crushed the first round. So he says something during the beganing of 2nd round....."IS that all you are.....what a waste of time."

Something snapped in me I didn't care how slow my PC was or anything I knew I had to win.....so I started the match with a super jump and he leaped up directly after me and I fell down with a huricane kick....(It was like a helicopter or something....back then) Thenright before I hit the ground and before he hit the ground I did a shinku-Hadoken by accident I didn't quiet master it then. Any way his power fell quickily....and I finish that round up with a win....My first win at that.....So he says"......" and the 3rd round begins.

To make this short I lose,but the three of us converse after the match and decided to improve our skills together.....so began my quest for legendary fighters.

From that day forward I searched for many challenges......through this time of training I joined CCF.
2000warrior's first offical tournament. I had been fighting with ChunLi for weeks by then and the due date for the begining of the tournament was soon.....

I say at that time I was at my prime.....yep....(with ChunLi)....I started to rap members with ChunLi nd begun to make a name for myself......slowly I made my way into the top 100.....(A great feat considering that I was playing with ChunLi at the time and there were vets everywere and I had just started as an offical user that month.)

Tupacwestsider42, was one of the good users on my list to defeat....and in the tournament oddily I did.(But besides that I never did other than that....time...=/).

Nosoul4ever, After Tupac I defeated him......

LordGrobyc, Well yes this guy was my best bud and Missfit Clan member.(I'm a OG of that clan) But he was also defeated.(Once by me and only once...but he was playing me in a chunLi vs. ChunLi match....his skills are kinda unmatched besides that.....and his banner making skills owned as well....making offical tags for his clan.....man I miss that guy)

Ace, For me to Join the missfits I had to defeat him to join.....in which I couldn't at first,but eventually I did.(He was the original leader of the missfits.....He had me as offical clan tester......then...later under the Rule of The PrankSter
I became the Coleader of the Missfits.....but I've been absent from my duties......but I am still a missfit.

TarkanX on the other hand forgot me as his student....psssh......and made me his student again...in grammar/Spelling....pssh.Oh well didn't hurt I guess.(I could use some knowledge now though).

Aight people. You wanted to know who mastaq aka Dark Masta is. Im feeling good right now. So Im gonna try and keep this in the best order that I can. I can remember a lot about other people. But I cant remember much about my time here. Except all the friends Ive had. So here we go. I started playing this site back in mid-March 2002. Thanks to my brother Dark_Warrior07. If it wasnt for him I wouldnt be the figure in this community that I am now. When I first started playing. I looked at the top 10. I first sought out all the top rankers. At first I cared for rank. Then some time after it didnt matter. The highest rank Ive attained to this day would be 3. I first fought a bunch of n3wb!es. Then I got my handed to me by one TarkanX. I had respect for him from the start, no doubt about it. My next loss to a vet would be from Nferno666. My computer I had back then was a lag monster. He beat me the first round. The second round I won because of extreme lag. The 3rd round I found out how to use the lag to my advantage to beat him. But I didnt take that route. I accepted that he was better than me. And I let him beat me. Because with that lag at the time he far surpassed me. Around some time in April me and Zeroena became friends. Soon to be friends with Roll. Along with other people like Thug_Angel. But a good friend I havent seen in a while would be Ryan Conn. On April 3rd 2002 was my debut on the official forum. I was new to forums in general. Where as today I am pretty knowledgable with them. I started to act like a n3wb!e. But not too bad. AsshoIe started to befriend and show me around. Then a week later was when, me and KidKrazyShlt would butt heads for the first time. I made a challenge to bLaCkRaNgEr. I tryed to take them over. When I first heard of clans. I tried to make my own at the official forum. Called the Hard Killing Machines. But it didnt do so well. So then I took on the Power Rangers myself. THis all was before I knew of SenshukenTaiKai mind you. So I beat bLaCkRaNgEr. But he wouldnt step down as leader. So I was ridculed by KKS and a few others. I naturally defended myself and all other n3wb!es at this point. Me and Zeroena began a short lived crusade to help out our fellow brethren. All was new to me at this point in time. I tried to make a name for myself in the servers over the coming weeks. At the middle of May 2002. I was decently known. I was starting to post at SenshukenTaiKai pretty actively. I was already the co-leader of the famed Dark Knights. We were a force to be reckoned with. Me, tupac2westsider(in his prime), !(DARKVIRUS)! aka Da Prototype aka (((Virus))), Shinjuko aka 2000warrior, and a few others I cant remember at the current time. By this time around people were so psyched out about the coming SoF(Survival of the Fittest) Tourney hosted by Lordcyris and AsshoIe. This out of any tourney to date had the most signups. This tourney had the potential to be the best tourney ever. But do to poor management of it. It failed. This is where the Weekly Tournies started. TarkanX officially started them. But MVC2Sucks came up with the idea months earlier. Not many tournies went down at the time. So me and 2000warrior started talking about starting a few. He made his CCF(Chun Li Cat Fight) tourney. Which I really appreciated. Because I mainly use Chun Li. But sadly due to family reasons I had to drop out early. My first round opponent was SBYRD5. He gave me a good match. But in the end I took the win, and advanced. SBYRD thanks for the great match bro. By July I had brought my only tournement to date out. The Brawl for All. The fastest completed tourney to date. It only took 3 hours to hold the tourney. In the end it was Lancer_PX and Strider42. Good sites with them both. BUt in the end Strider42 took the win. Around the end of July I became a mod at SenshukenTaiKai. When Dan Hibiki and itssounfair held auditions for mods. They told me personally I was their top pick. This made me very happy. This is where I started my Academy for n3wb!es. It wasnt a great success but I did what I needed to do. I helped out a few people. Around early August I got made an Admin at Senshuk. But that was short lived. Because on August 26th 2002 SenshukenTaiKai forum was officialy closed by Zing79. Then on September 9th 2002. The infamous site known as Battle Grounds was born. This was my greatest moment in the history of my prescence in this community. I had saved the clans. More so I should say. Me and KKS saved the clans. J-Luna as well helped us. But there after I took full control of maintaining BG. This was a golden age for clans. Though BG went threw some down time. Many forum changes. I have finally reached a state of accomplishment with BG that Im happy with. A month later the site went down for the first time. October 8th 2002 was a milestone for XvsSF. Then people readily offered to help pay for maintaining the site. So that the many thousands of other users could still enjoy the site for free. Me, Darkvirus, viper2040, and many others where the first on the scene. With all the people that helped out we were able to get the site back on its feet. There on in things where looking good for me. This time around in November I bought paid hosting and a domain for BG. Things couldnt be better. BG was doing better than expected. I had to continually upgrade hosting plans for BG. But with no doubt in my mind would I stop there. I didnt care about the amount of time I spent. just so long as I brought people happiness. But then on New Years Day night I was in a horrible car accident. In short.. My aunt told her kids to go to my house. Which was 4 minutes walking distance from the scene of the accident. Then she fled the scene. And left me for dead. I almost died. But as soon as I was in the Intensive Care Unit. I begged the nurses for a laptop. I got one.But after I told my mom to take time out of my checking account and buy me one of my own. I was so badly hurt. I had one arm bandaged up. While I typed with the other. Im sorry for my arrogance. But I consider myself a die hard fan of this community. I will do anything within my power to keep it going. As TarkanX posted earlier in this thread. I am dedicated to this site until the end.. And he couldnt be anymore right. Ive been involved with this community for well over a year and a half. I cant help but support it. No matter what Ill always be in this community. Ill always have TMyApp,leftyfb,NoSoul4Evr, and KidKrazypoop's backs. They have helped me more times than I can count. From there on in. My legacy in this community is history. All you people know who I am and know how I act. Now I must give a shout out to all my friends that I know in this community. allright I read all of Tarkan's stories and I have to say thats some impressive stuff you experienced. Im not american and my firs language was not english so If I make some gremmer errors dont flame me. Anyway TarkanX I want to challenge you....not a bloodthirsty pound em to the earth challenge but a friendly challenge so we can chat and so I can see what TarkanX is all about. And it would be an honor. I've fought others like pip99, darkmasta, and nferno, got my behind kicked but it's alright I ended my matches with a "gg". Hello... I haven't been around lately since I'm busy a lot, so I don't have much time for the computer much anymore, and the fact the most of my interests are duindling.

*cough* anyways... let me just tell my life story, how I felt about the site, and the site right now and where it will go.


By the way, for you ####ies, this site was up on August 8, 2001, a week before I played the site.

It was August 15, 2001. It was early evening. I was getting flamed at planet namek, so I thought I'd just pick up something else. I remember a site called arcadepod.com, I went there, then I was about to play this home run rally baseball site, but then I saw something else. X-men vs Street Fighter Online. I decided XvSF over baseball, but I didn't play immediately yet.

I asked one of my friends(who I knew on this forum for a year in which I got banned) who's user name is Jason1(I don't talk to him anymore, it's been 1 1/2 since I last did. Oh, and if you wanted to know which forum I got banned, it was the now defunct nintendose.com, reasons why, I don't want to explain, and no it's not porn). We both loaded up the site, got in the project x server(which was empty), and we fought.

There were about... 20 characters I believe at the beginning, but we could only pick Ryu vs Ryu. Since I completely forgot about SF, remembering the moves would be hard. Me and Jason fought, he was jumping and kicking, and I tried to do the same, but he won twice(Some rounds were close).

Jason said he didn't want to play the site anymore since he said it was boring(he's a die hard Nintendo freak as far my memory serves). I kept training away, my fists, my leg thrusts. I couldn't get off Ryu's hadouken, or his other specials. But then my friend(in who I know in real life and have known for years) told me is specials(he occasionally went to the arcade to play XvSF, and MvC). I did the procedure for the hadouken, and guess what..... HADOUKEN!!!! A flaming blue wave came thrusting out of Ryu's hand(or his body, since it looked like it came from his body). I've played SF before, first played it in 1992 when it came to the SNES, I've done his hadouken, but I just forgot about SF so much, I needed major help.

Tatsumaki senpuu kyaku(or whatever he said when was retardedly throwing his leg in a spiral in the air). I dind't quite do shoryuken yet till later, about a few days later. Then ti was time for the super moves. I told my friend how to do the long ranged blue beam, he said press all 3 punch buttons, I did that, and guess what... Shinkuu..... HADOUKEN!!!!!!!! BJGGGJGJGJGJTTTT!!!!! KO!!!! WOW!!!! I DID IT!!!! I actually performed the Shinkuu Hadouken technique. I was happy, I also performed the spin kick super.

After that, I was performing basic techniques, jump, super jumping, punch, kick. There was no dash at this time by the way. I thought to myself, I'll keep fighting, then I'll fight with the big guns(top 5 at the time was Leftyfb, Lordcyris, B0ogie, baller, and someone else.... I forgot who it is). I thought they were the best players in the site(they were at the time, but the top 5 then would get slaughtered by the top 5 now). During this time, people played for fun, or for competition, there was no rank hungry person, and if they were, it was a small community, which would eventually grow into a cancer(nice metaphor eh...?). I fought my way up the ranks, I was watching Earth: Final Conflict at the same time playing the site, I felt like I was getting stronger and stronger fighting other people(similar to what Fear Tetsuo went through, but he had to go through rigorous training since during his way to the top, he had to go through people that were marginally better than me to the top 5 before hand, stilll don't get what I'm saying, well... here's an example:

My wish came true as i finally got to fight one of the best players in the site, and most recognized at the time, CptnAmerica. We fought twice, and it was intense, like you were in the middle of a tornado, and you had to survive at all costs, it was you, vs the Tornado. If the tornado won, it would be over, if you won, the tornado would be angry, and attack another day, but you get the benefit of the doubt. Me and Cptn was like this. I won both intense fights, and he went bonkers(somewhat). He said that he couldn't lose to someone like me... I said some wise words, and he smirked, he said he will have his day.

When I checked my rank, I was rank 46 with 46 wins and 26 losses. I felt if I kept going further and further, it would be my first stepped in being recognized in a good way, and being a first rate person, instead of always being plagued as second rate. About a week after I registered in the site, I registered on the forums. I was the 123rd registered member(I would've been the 81st, but I was too lazy to register when I first saw the forum. The community was like a friendly town that was starting up, and giving advice. Everyone was an elder, but they had the strength of an ox at heart. I was happy to be here, unlike planet namek which would flame you straight up your ass in and out whether or not you were new.

A while later, I told Token, a native of planet namek, a recognized vet for people who registered from August 2001-May 2002. He was a brash young kid who had wise words, but broke down everyone who would act stupid, or rip on him. This person is what you ####ies need to know, I wish he were still here.... We fought 5 times, and each time I won. I told him that he would never beat me at XvSF online ever, but I was wrong, dead wrong. This guy almost eliminated me in ToC1, he was freakin insane, he was hardcore. He doesn't take ####, and I loved that. Someone that would fight at their max whether or not you suck, or whether or not you are a vet, he treats everyone the same when he fights them, an enemy that should be killed, that's something that people fail to shot today(or at least XvSF online closed down).

Anyways, I joined the first tournament ever which was held by Necro2k1. There were 8 participants, but only 5 fought. This is what the tournament bout looked like:

Ewalk vs Lordcyris
Leftyfb vs CptnAmerica
B0ogie vs ?


My first round opponent didn't show up, Lordcyris beat Ewalk, Lefty won by DQ(CptnAmerica didn't show up). I don't know who B0ogie fought, but he didn't show up. The 2nd round looked like this:

I lost to B0ogie the first match, so I was supposed ot be eliminated, but then B0ogie requested another match, I denied, since he should advance, but after a while, I said what the hell. I beat him in our 2nd match, then he said I should advance to the finals. We had a debate about who should advance, but he said something like... he liked fighting me, he didn't care for prizes. I liked that attitude, some vets in this site would fight for rank(even today), and I'm disappointed in them. So I advanced. Anyways, Lordcyris bested Leftyfb, so I had to fight Lordcyris. I guess me and him would be considered "the best" currently in the site. We fought it out on a Saturday morning, I was kind of tired a little, but I rushed to the computer to play the site. We both picked Ryu(obviously), and then the newly implented helpers... he got Guile, and I got..... Venom, the worst of the helpers at the time, besides Spiral(I'm not sur if Spiral was made, but oh well). We both fought, and he beat me in both rounds, and eventually won a blue Ryu. I lost the tournament, another failure like I've always been, no I dind't think about suicide, and hope to god that I never will, but I was always never first, or never impressed the crowd the most, it was always someone else. Takes me back to elementary school, I felt like taking a break from the site, but I couldn't, so I kept playing, and getting better, and as soon as I knew it, I was the best in the site(At most of September).

During September, I prematurely made a website about project x, if I launched it, it would've been the first site affiliate from project x. But due to laziness, and lack of HTML knowledge, I ditched the idea, so Warmor became the first person, with his bizarre showing of almost nude SF characters(which was soon taken out). I also made a dojo(much thanks to Lordcyris). I trained unworthy fighters, and made them look like prince's, and princess. I felt like I needed to give back to the community, and this was something that I could start at.

Ewalks tournament was in during September, and it seemed like a solid tourney(any tourney that's better than Necro's was good in my eye(before ToC1 came). 52 people participated, it was a preliminary match-up, then it would be a round robin after the preliminaries were over. I was in the west, and had some of the toughest members. There were 13 people in my division, and I went 7-1, my only loss was to Nferno666(One of the most intense fights I ever had in my career at XvSF, and a long string of intense fights me and Nferno666 would have). I was trying my hardest, I had a war face, and kept tamping on the keys very hard, but he seemed like I was some pety fool, and he was the silent warrior(Like Samurai Jack, Silent, yet very powerful, and could kill anyone if he wanted to, but decides not to try his best, that's what I think from my perspective. After the prelimiaries, the first round began, I forgot who I fought, but I beat him by default, since he said he didn't want to fight me. The tournament ended without word of Ewalk. He suddenly disappeared into nothingness, and we never heard from him until 2 months later, and after that, he was gone forever.

In Late September, the next character who would be Wolverine was coming near, and a guy who can kick your ass in 5 seconds, even if you were the best was here... Zing79. He was like a kind-hearted version of Token. He'll kill you, and give you a compliment before you hit the ground. It seemed like whenever we fought, he always got the best of me in a close battle, but it was like he was never at his max against me. It seemed like he was the best now, and then he would start the ever known.... Tournament of Champions.

the hosts perspective in a match is alot different from the guests perspective of the match....
Latency creates all the lag, and "lagging" is primarily the internets fault, and not the players...and EVERYONE lags...

people who don't know what lag is really and those who can't see the difference between FPS problems and LAG itself should read one of my article on LAG, but beware its a bit advanced, you do need to know your computer terminology to understand it !

LAG isn't created by your computer, only by the network itself called internet !

if you see SKIPPING in your window, it is a mix between both FPS and LAG. if you got a big big big FPS problem, then you get a lot of skipping.

see, FPS you can do something about it, but LAG, ya can't do #### about it !
and FPS include only YOUR computer. it doesn't affect other computers, they manage their own FPS !
