What's Your Motivation? - This is open to all who wanna say why they play this game..

Me... well, I play for threee reasons. 1) It's fun, duh! ^-^
2) I like beating my friends from school in here.
3) I wanna be with DXZero as much as possible... *blushes a bit* So, what's your motivation?

I used to love playing the game, and coming to the forum.
but latley the forums, and even more the game are swarming with loud, stupied n00bs.
half the time i'm afraid to go into a server for the fear of being annoyed by all the n00bs.
but eventually I work up the courage and go in there.

Why did this happen? Was this supposed to happen....? the only reason why people play the game is for rank.... if I ask people that if they care for rank, they say no. I know they're lying, I know they are! They just don't want to admit it!

Argh! One day, something good will happen.... but it'll take a while for that to happen.

the n00bs aren't going..... they're staying here forever(well as long as this game is still here). We have to deal with it. You could e-mail most of the vets that participated in the necro/ewalk/ZingTOC1 tourney, but their e-mails bight have gone bad, or they won't reply to you.... its a try though.


But we can't out number them..... people leave then people come. That is how the cycle is on this game.

And that's good for you, but will you play this game for fun when your 1st in the ranks? or stoop so low that youll face n00bs all day just to be ahead of everyone.... the more people focus on ranks, the worse the games condition gets... I'm going to make a statement in the chat.

Some (I said some) of the noobs are like you said Tarkan. but I think the easyest way to take care of them is to drag them out of here into the game then teach them a leson by beating them to a bloody pulp. A little tough love so to speak. Not in the real world though. Also Krazy Kid crap why should we fear the noobs? Don't be scared of them it like I always say Sometimes you just have to meet life head on! [As for motiveation this might sound a bit weird OK? Try pretending you are the character your useing except if your a guy useing Chun-li that might be a little hard.:biggrin: any way pretend your them like with Ryu pretend your fighting to be the best or for Sakura heh heh. Wolverine for your friends and family or the #### of it! Chun-Li Bison killed your parents. Understand it now?

even if i were #1 in ranks i would still play this game for fun. if i didn't play for fun i wouldn't play at. this is all i play this game for........fun. nothing else matters really

1. FOR FUN!
2. to be the greatest Ryu and Ken player
3. to reach #1 at least once
4. for a friend(just friend) of mine.
5. to beat my greatest rival!

I play for the fun of it, for the thrill of the fight! My user name might be Dan Hibiki, but I'm more like Ryu with my view on fighting. I just want a challenge, and to become better and enjoy myself! I find it hard to do that now... too many people are point scrooges, hoarding points and focusing only on their rank, rather than genuine enjoyment. I enter chat rooms to a barrage of challenges and insults, and when I beat people I get so much crap that I can hardly stand it anymore.

I don't care about my rank, and it never really mattered to me in the first place. I've been ranked 57th before... so what? My record is a losing record because I like a challenge a bit too much... so what? Rank, win-loss records, reputation... they are all immaterial. What matters is the fight itself, and being able to have fun just because you are fighting a skilled opponent.

So many people have lost sight of these ideals. It is my hope that those people find them again.

the reason i did fight you was because you were the best at that time ! (you probably still is) but when i fight im not in for the rank (proof is im still 2500 and above)

i do fight for fun
i do think a fighting game is more than that
i do think im the char when i play
i do make my own story when playing
i do think that game could be better
i do know that tmyapp does his best

the worst is, ryu has been here since first day !
and he became too powerfull to be beaten that easily
im real good with chun-li and still i lose too easily then i choose ryu and kick the person out ! that just cannot be true !

the person is a great fighter a give you loses and then you take im on with ryu and you win easily ?

not much i can do though... Cyclops is .. well.. how can i put this ... "behind"... i'm aiming for mid May now (maybe even the end of May)

no one really has any idea of what it took to get this buggy version of the 4 player mode out (but it took MORE than "a lot" of ass busting around the clock)....

despite the n00bs and people leaving left and right (and i say this very month) people play the game now more than ever (we're now up to 30,000 hits per week, and well over 100k users... not that anyone cares)

anyway... bugs will die (one by one)... new chars will be added (one by one.. but slower)... as for the n00bs ??? well... i guess the best thing u can do is just stick with your friends... meet up on the empty chat servers, host u'r own games/chat-only-games ... and, perhaps, we need an option that will allow you NOT to submit your scores...

there are also a LOT of other GOOD ideas on my "list" .. but... i wont' get around to even thinking about them until few weeks/months from now (which may seem like a LOT to you guys, but to me, after working on this "project" for over a year, it really is noffin'... weeks/months... same crap... i dont even notice/keep-track-of them anymore) :biggrin:

if u gotta go... go, if u want to stay... stay... in either case, i have no idea what will happen next (just like all of u)... things might get better, and they might get worse...

It use to be good to go in a server without looking at some dumb@ss cussing at someone else or challanging someone. I use to have motivation but they killed it. I dont only play this game for rank...
