where to start...

NEW NET CODE:
this version is a result of about 3 weeks of "anti-lag" work, it is NOT perfect (some might even say far from it) but, few will argue that the old version was better...

1st off, the game now attempts to adjust it's speed and settings depending on u'r connection and lag. "Lag Compensation" can be set to low, mid and high depending on u'r connection

setting it to low will result in a MUCH laggier game, but, a game that may run a bit smoother, a setting of "high" however, will ensure that the game is kept in sync, and that there are less lag related problems (there might be a "super-high" setting implemented in the next few weeks, depending on the responses to this version)

you might notice a higher ping displayed, all this means is that the ping is now even MORE precisely calculated (and NOT that this version is slower)

game will also automatically switch between protocols and ports (a "Secondary Port" or "SEC PRT" is now used, which is PrimaryPort + 1, which is 1627 for most people)

if your firewall blocks this port, the game should automatically switch to the primary. if it doesn't, you will probably have a "out of sync" problem, where u will NOT see the other player move (he will basically be a "Barney" standing there, taking hits but no damage).

OPTIONS:
after a LOT of bitching a few options have been added. you can now set your volume to ZERO (both music and sound) and turn off the background via the options menu (instead of the old "console" command, which still works by the way)

GAMEPLAY:
few tweaks to both of the players

Ryu: doesn't jump as high, few moves have been slightly tweaked

Wolverine: berserker-barrage can no longer be blocked once it connects, his jumps are now much higher, and he regains 8% of his health via the "healing factor" (instead of the old 5%)

dashes have been tweaked for both of the players, and, a hit counter is now added to client side only (a "max combo" counter @ the end of the match is on its way)

... well, thats about it

Chun-Li is next (check out the vote results on the main page of the forum), if there are no serious problems with this version by the end of this weekend, i will start on her ASAP

YEAH! TMy keepin' it gangsta! (I don't even know why I said that)

This version cold as a mug. If it wasn't for that really big bug it got, it would got a ten. It's easy to please me thuogh just make it smoother and a hit counter and yuo got me. Now if it wasn't for that big ass bug, you would have me. Ya dig?

Just out of curiosity TYmApp, how long does it take you (on average) to make a new character?

Well since I joined, about a week after this whole thing started, and wolverine came around september(late I think) it probably takes about 1 month, and 2 or 3 weeks.

TMyApp: The update is a wonderful improvement. My only negative comment would be about the bug where the match doesn't necessarily end after you win 2 games. I have had it happen where I just have to quit after beating someone 7 or 8 times. Good work though.

endless match should be fixed in 02c (which is out.. RIGHT NOW)
