Well I had an interview with Viper2040 its both for BG and the official Forum so that's why it might have some questions used here.

Viper2O40: dont want this interview confusing people
BWallace 03 07: can you give us a hint of this big plan
Viper2O40: ah...well, many have asked about new look for the site...
Viper2O40: i dont want to reveal too much, especially its to be a suprise, even to tmyapp
BWallace 03 07: Whats the greatest thing you have achived in the site?

Viper2O40: well...a couple of things make me proud...bein g first is no biggie these days
Viper2O40: but back in december 2001, it was HUGE
Viper2O40: i made it to rank 4 with some SERIOUS playing...
Viper2O40: had an awesome record...
Viper2O40: well, keep in mind what my forum title is--

Viper2O40: I think that there will be a massive surge in member activity
Viper2O40: Streetfighter, with NO marvel characters,
Viper2O40: will leave the most used characters--
Viper2O40: ryu and chunli
Viper2O40: plus, with no wolvie or spidey, or cyclops,'
Viper2O40: many of the users complaints will dissappear
Viper2O40: not just that...but also an increase in truely skilled players
Viper2O40: in anycase, besides gambit...
BWallace 03 07: well ppl will find a way to be cheap we know that
Viper2O40: most of the character votes end with akuma, blanka, zangief, ken, or another sf player on top'
BWallace 03 07: here's a question that the VIP's have been wonderin what will happen to there accountViper2O40: Ok, this answer may disappoint many
Viper2O40: First off, let me explain how VIP status will be gained in the future
Viper2O40: In the past, even though we called it a donation,
Viper2O40: we pretty much always gave the "donors" a vip status
Viper2O40: this time around, if you want to donate time, we will most likely NOT have a Paypal account up
Viper2O40: its your own problem; we dont want capcom breathing down our backs
BWallace 03 07: so does that mean that everyone will have evil ryu
Viper2O40: not sure
Viper2O40: prob not
Viper2O40: just vips
Viper2O40: getting a vip account will now be up to the mods
Viper2O40: they decide who is worthy
Viper2O40: further, we are rapidly getting rid of vips...
Viper2O40: there are too many who do not care
Viper2O40: those who bitch about it become "village idiot"
Viper2O40: it was clearly stated that it was a donation; vip status is granted by tmyapps generosity alone
Viper2O40: VIP status may have big, GOOD changes, too
Viper2O40: but thats top secret
BWallace 03 07: so do the current VIP's keep there accounts

Viper2O40: SOME
Viper2O40: basically, admins go through and decide whos worthy, and who's not
BWallace 03 07: do you have a range on what day the site will be on
Viper2O40: no
BWallace 03 07: but will it be october
Viper2O40: yes
BWallace 03 07: well with VIP's gone how will tymapp and you pay the costs
Viper2O40: me? i dont pay a damn thing, except to donate
Viper2O40: like i said, people may donate, if they can arrange something
Viper2O40: but it wont get you a damn thing except our thanks

BWallace 03 07: so umm will the backgrounds and the characters look the same or will they be altered a little bit

Viper2O40: we admins know very little, so far, about how the site itself will change

Viper2O40: maybe we do know, but i just havent been informed yet
Viper2O40: i suspect we will know at least a few days in advance of you guys
Viper2O40: but we wont go announcing it

Viper2O40: in SFO, i WILL be an insite mod, and or admin
BWallace 03 07: whoa so you'll be keeping track of the site awesome
BWallace 03 07: also because of roms most ppl might not be playing the site do you think that this will affect the site alot

Viper2O40: its easier to come to this site than to find illegal roms, then to find people through em
Viper2O40: many people dont even bother with the downloadable version of the site
Viper2O40: too much work
Viper2O40: thats why i think roms will have little impact
BWallace 03 07: well what happened to the site after its cancelation because some ppl were able to play on the servers
Viper2O40: in accordance with eli bard's requeston behalf of marvel, we removed all marvel related content from the SITE
Viper2O40: now, we cant control what downloadable site people play, can we?
BWallace 03 07: true but will ppl be able to downlod the site or not
Viper2O40: not sure
Viper2O40: that is a VERY good question; i will see if i can get you an answer

BWallace 03 07: As we know a lot of old people just left the site and never came back. If you could get just one to come back who would you choose?

Viper2O40: there are quite a few that i dearly miss
BWallace 03 07: well than name a few
Viper2O40: one in particular...he was the one who showed me the site in the first place
Viper2O40: just remembered something
Viper2O40: in regard to the question about what happens to the XvsSf download\
BWallace 03 07: yes
Viper2O40: i believe that when they load the downloadable version, they will be told to update their current version of sfo
Viper2O40: basically, they wouldnt be able to play
Viper2O40: not sure though
BWallace 03 07: so those with the downloaded version will have to redownload the files
Viper2O40: no, they may not be able to USE the old download
Viper2O40: the xvssf download

Viper2O40: i think custom avatars are causing the problem; people with normal avatars should be able to change em

Viper2O40: so if youve already got one, the site doesnt want to let you mess with it

There you have it I didn't edit much but here are the things that SFO will be like

i must say thanks for the interview, its cool... but a couple of mistakes were made !
first off, i never saw, where tmyapp supposedly said AKUMA was coming that day !
he just never told us if he was completed or not !
tmyapp got shut down before saying anything, its common legend as to when AKUMA was supposed to be released, if i'm wrong show me th etopic where he said it !

as for the avatars VIPER, you made a mistake, CUSTOM AVATARS WORKS normal AVs doesn't !

how i know, my AV works and its a custom one !

what he meant by that was that if you try to change it in the control panel it wont work...if you aready have one on from before than it uses that one...but you can't change it unless you goto *your*server if your hosting your own and just replace the file with another one that you want to show with the same URL for it and as for akuma release...yeah he hever said when it would be complete...he just said he would post the percentage and the estimate release date of akuma but not that it would be released that day

Thats not totally true. I changed my avatar with ease. Simply name the avatar as the same as your old one, upload it to the same hosting site and delete the old avatar. That way the new avatar has the same exact url as the last one. It works, trust me! :)

ARG!!!!
and vipergurlie is probably so pissed at me...

That was the only clan i was ever in, and i shallnever be in another....this is part of the reason--I let many of my clanmates down by leaving for xvssf....there were more factors than that; the clan just sort of faded away....

I am still proud of the work we did as a clan devoted to helping those new to the site...
