Alternative way to become a vip...(no credit card) - Since so many have asked... [Archive]

As you may have seen, there are people in this forum known as "sponsored VIPs". Basically, someone else pays for their VIP membership. I am always looking for promising non-VIPs to sponsor, but I do not want hundreds of people to come begging to me. Make a name for yourself in the chats and the forum as someone who is helpful, respectful of the Mods/admins (go ahead and trash-talk the VIPs...yes, we are cocky bastards :biggrin:, and no, im not serious about heckling us...), and I am REALLY impressed by Fansites, people who host chat servers, or do something else significant for the game.

There are some others who also sponsor, and some of the mods may do so as well. But you cannot slack off when you get sponsored--sponsored vips can have their VIP membership removed easily by their sponsor.

Also, even after you become a VIP, I would like to encourage you to donate money when you can. And those who can pay, please dont just donate the minimum....the whole object is to help keep this game alive. Any questions?

Viper: you cannot ask of the SPONSORED VIPS to be USEFUL ALL the time you will sponsor them. it must be like the VIPS that donated only 5$ and got VIPS FOREVER ! think of it... donation make you VIP for the rest of your life, but if you cannot donate you MUST continu to do a lot things for the rest of your life just to keep that VIP status ! don't you think it is a little stressing ?

here is what i think would be right !
1 - the person got a kind of contract with the sponsor (you)...
2 - he MUST do something big in the next month.
3 - for the next 3 months, he MUST be an ACTIVE MEMBER of the forum. (not 24/7 but active)
4 - during that 3 months, he MUST help the new comers and must be playing on a weekly basis.

after the 3 months, you the sponsor judge his actions and judge if he deserves to still be a VIP just like if he had donated ! (FOREVER)

that way, you'll see if the person is really interested in having VIP status and you'll know if the person really deserved to be sponsorised !

btw, nice one, but i think people will start to OVER-DUE the sponsor thing and you'll see lots of web pages will be made just to try to be VIP (including me, actually working on betterising my web page with some FAN FLASH GAMES) so i hope you luck on finding the real BECOMING VIPs

ya U need hotmail......U create an account on hotmail......then U download the MSN instant messenger and then to connect to your MSN, U type your email adress and your password( the same has your hotmail account) and it's gonna work ;)

you mean he'll sponser you. a sponsered vip is where a vip who pays for someone else to be a vip, thats why it's called a SPONSERED vip. get it? ??? :D

first: on MSN you don't need to have an HOTMAIL address !
i am using MESSANGER with my NETCOURRIER.COM address and it works fine ! because the program use the EMAIL ADDRESS (any EMAIL ADDRESS) it is just offering you to make an HOTMAIL ADDRESS because there are people that doesn't have addresses at all, its only as a IDEA PURPOSE. no need to make an HOTMAIL address if you already got an email address !

second: king is right ! word by word... sponsors means someone else pays for you while you give em a lot of PUBLICITY.

oh well, nevermind the messenger stuff...
heres my deal viper...
since i dont have a credit card on my own (credits is all i got but not cards :biggrin: ) you will pay for me and then for the meantime i will be a "sponsored VIP"
if i managed to pay you back, then that sponsored VIP status will automatically be converted like the "regular VIPs"
if i failed to pay you back, its your choice to withdraw your sponsorship on me

yes or no? ???

anyway...
like i already said to you VIPER !
since you started to give VIP status to people... we are already much more then what there were suppose to be !
i mean...
about 15 REAL VIPs
about 30 SPONSORED VIPs and its still rising !

in about 6 months at this rate... half the comunity will have the right to the perks !
well...
i'm gonna be a VIP cause of you (even tho i want to be one)
i still consider that only TRUE VIPs should have the perks the REAL vips are having, SPONSORED VIPs should have something that ony them can have, but not as much as those REAL VIPs ! see my point ?

the thing is with the vip system a lot of people will just send tmy money because they want black spiderman and any other things u get by becoming a vip...there should really be some way to get people to prove that they actually want to help the x-men vs street fighter community instead of just wanting extra stuff.

I know that the mods are feeling lethargic about the whole vip paypal topic, this goes way beyond the little perks u get if u donate.

All of the vips are doing things to make our gaming more fun and safe for young kids.

I personally think that becomming a vip is a burden, but a good burden at that.

Not only do u get to help shape and represent a great game u get to help the mods with liitle to big things like bugs etc..

So lets make 2003 a safe a gratiful year for Tmy app's Project.
