Look just because other people are makeing tournies.. Doesn't mean you have to host your own. It takes weeks of planning and preparation. Makeing and hosting a tourny, is by no means a "walk in the ball park". Just take my word for it. I hosted my own tourney. It was called Brawl For All. It was a pretty successful one at that. I got around 56 entrants. But by no means did all of them show up. About half of them did.

I'm not ranting I'm trying to save you a headache. How many times has 2000warrior said this? Even with the thread he made about hosting a tourney. That isn't all the things you need to know.

1.) You need to be an organized person.

2.) You have to spend a tremendous amount of time on this kind of "project".

3.) Don't just host (or try to) a tourney. Just b/c you think it will make a name for yourself. Trust me that's not the case at all. I made my tourney b/c nobody else was haveing one. But you guys won't even let one person finish thier's before you start your's.. BIG MISTAKE! If to many tournys pop up at once. The there will be utter chaos.

4.) Don't hold your registration for more than a week and a half. And try and make the tourny on a weekend.

5.) If you ever have any further questions about tournies. Check through the old threads in this section. Or just ask me or 2000warrior.

Please I implore you not to make tournies, if you have no idea what your doing. Just remember one thing it takes hard work and dedication to lift a tourny off the ground. It's no joke it's a big responibility to host a tourny. Don't host one if your not intent on going through to the end. Well with that all being said this is mastaq saying... PEACE :)

I think they think by hosting a tourney they will get popular, or respect. Just let them host it and see how far it goes. They'll learn.

Mastaq, you must realize if there are noobs in this forum they'll ignore you anyway,or they'll read and make a noobish post to make themselves laugh.

True about the popularity of making a tournament when 2000warrior made his tournament he didn't become anymore popular actually less from it,but he did so many other cool things.....that it didn't matter.

SBYRD5: Yes that is true. But if I get through to only a few people. Then that is good enough for me. I have educated many new-bies in the past. There is always hope.. :)

Nah...

SBYRD5: Lol.. When I hosted CCF, I had no idea what I was getting myself into... :(

If there had been someone around to tell me just how much stuff I should have done (even though I did most of it) I probably wouldn't have even attepmted it.

Dark_Masta: Lol.. trying to take my tournament-helping monopoly away from me eh??.. That's ok.. I have yet to host a major success. Let alone a semi-success without hundreds of ppl bitchen about it.

But I still have a few "tricks" up my sleve in the way of hosting tournaments.. now if I could only find the time to host one..

I only even update about the current ###### tournaments because... there's nothing else going on. Doubtless, none of them will even finish.. :(

What someone really needs to do is take the dam time to create a website for their tournament. People (other ######s that enter) see that and they think "wow, this guy's serious about hosting his/her tournament."

Hell I was one of the ONLY people to make a site for my tourney. And it didnt make a big difference. Take SoF for instance. It was an utter failure. Well in the comeing weeks look for BFA 2 !! :D

Yes.. but look at how many people SOF got registered. (somewhere around 140+)

There's NO way they would have gotten a fifth of that turn out without a website. Just look how pathetic the current tournaments are doing compared with that...
