announcement regarding tournament - big change in rules!

since absolutely nobody seems to want to sign up as wolverine, its going to force me to get rid of the "keep the characters seperate" rule...

I have to make this tournament fair, so Im changing the double elimination rule...IT WILL ONLY APPLY TO WOLVERINE CHARACTERS! If you lose once with ryu your out permenantly.

That should make ppl think about choosing wolverine now :biggrin:

and to top it all off...all wolverine characters will be ranked at the top...ahead of whatever the top score table says! :shocked:

There is still a big IF with these new rule changes...the tournament wont start till after the new major update...so if by then I see that the game has actually become balanced, we will go back to even steven for everbody..

TMyApp please put in an advertisement for Zing79's tournament. You know in the start-up screen where it says something like "Vote for nexxt character." Please advertise. WE ONLY HAVE TEN PEOPLE #### IT! If TMyApp does that we should have enough also there are people registering in the New way to sign up for the tournament topic and yet they ain't on your site.

I agree with selvin, that happened for ewalks tourney, so it should happen for this tourney, we need more people.

Im in med school right now, so Im swamped with work, I don't have a shitload of time on my hands, and the only way I can get ppl to sign up, is to go in the chat myself and tell them about it...

so it would help me alot if that could happen :biggrin:

name ONE "realistic" thing you would do to make the tournament fair for both characters...

plus its utter bullshit and stupidity to think a top player like yourself can loose to a wolverine controlled character, regardless of who is controlling him...PERIOD

this rule wont effect you in any way, seeing as how there really shouldn't be a chance in #### u'll loose to a wolverine controlled player right now :biggrin:

dude, you need to quit with the cheap crap. you think akuma isnt cheap? hes ryu with a slightly modified moce set. any good ryu fighter can kick ass with him, OR ken, despite your beliefs, and talk of it being the contrary. they wer eput in the game, theres many cheap char., just get over it.


and zing...what would i do? i would say fuck it. take half of the tounrey fighters, randomly selected at that, then just do it in bracket form. it DOESNT have to be a wolvi, vs a ryu at the end, ya know. if they cant win with him, oh well, they chose him.

and the combos are missing for him

if it were different i would use wolvie ina second

I'd like to enter the tournament (I'd probably get my ass kicked; I just started playing today, but hey, it looks fun).

Two questions (forgive my ignorance):

1) How do you play against another player (the "Barney" guy in Practice, I'm assuming, is just there for a punching bag)?

2) When will the tournament be held?
