Most challenging fighters - and passing thoughts

People that I've never beaten:

Lord-Oberon. Who is this guy? He doesn't get on very often, so not that many people know who he is, but ####... I just can't beat him, although I came close once. I'm on to his strategy...he doesn't sit still for a second. Most Ryu users will engage in a fireball war for at least part of the round...not so with this guy. He jumps around and roundhouses you the whole round, and with all the lag, it's hard to tell where he is. Then out of nowhere he'll teleport to the other side of the screen and hit you with a super. Watch out if you ever fight this guy...he's very unpredictable. He's a cocky son of a bitch, too.
Nferno666. I've actually beaten him once, but he gets put in this (short :biggrin:) list because once doesn't measure up to the other 10 times he's beaten me. His style, from what I remember, is actually similar to Lord-Oberon's. You WILL NOT win a fireball war with Nferno, because he'll be in your face roundhousing you before you know what hit you. He has mastered all of Ryu's moves, and is very unpredictable. I haven't played him recently, though. Hopefully I've improved since our last fight...
PROfe$$or. Only played him twice, back in the day...The first time we fought he beat me, the second match we fought froze in the first round, so we never got to finish it. From what I remember, he is an excellent fighter.
Shinakuma(with some digits). Haven't seen this guy in a long time, but I never beat him. Don't even remember his full name...

People that I can beat, but still consider to be better fighters than myself:

Digital Mode. But then again, he always wants to host (and I know going into it that I'm going to get stuck with Spiral). :biggrin:
dark-link. I remember back in the day when I first started playing this game, I was in the chat room running my mouth as usual, and then this guy comes in there and starts talking sh!t to me. Lol. I think our verbal war was almost as intense as our actual fight. We hit it off instantly. :biggrin: He ended up kicking my ass, btw. After our fight he recruited me to his clan. Since then I've gotten a lot better, and have managed to beat him several times (half of his current losses are from me :) ), but he beats me most of the time.
Strider42. Another excellent fighter. I was number 2 in our clan 'till he came along, dammit! Lol. I know he's not the most popular guy around here, and he is pretty cocky, but he is still a skilled fighter. I remember when he first started I used to whoop his ass left and right, but he's come a long way.

Even match ups (in other words, we're fairly equal):

Lordcyris. He's a tough fighter all around. Our matches almost always go to round 3 (even round 4 one time, I believe), and they are always intense.
fear_tetsuo. Why does everybody bitch about him lagging so much when they fight him? Hasn't been that bad from my experiences. Oh well. At any rate, he's up there with the best of them in my book. Don't let him get you in the corner with his hurricane kick. :biggrin:
tupac2westsider. Man, how the #### does he get his super meter built up so #### fast?!? Lol.
KidKrazySh!t. An excellent fighter (and an excellent partner to have in a tag battle :biggrin:).
TarkanX. Tarkan doesn't play much anymore, and as a result, his skills aren't what they used to be. But I remember him at his best, and that is why he is in this list.
d148. I think I'm a little better than him, actually...but I don't take a challenge from him lightly. He knows what he's doing, so don't underestimate him.
J-Luna. He's come a long way as a fighter from when he first started playing.
AsshoIe. He gave me many pointers when I first started playing, back when I used no one but Chun-Li. Imagine his surprise when I picked Ryu for the first time and beat him! Lol. Always a good fight with AsshoIe.

You're wrong about fear_tetsuo and Lord-Oberon. Their fighting styles are different, plus fear_tetsuo isn't even half as cocky as Lord-Oberon. You might be right about the Mcbeth_is_gay thing, however...
That would be cool if Digital Mode was Nferno, that would mean that I HAVE gotten a lot better...but I've seen them both on at the same time before, plus someone did the little 'name hack' trick with Digital Mode (ya know, the capital i looks just like lower-case L), and Nferno started talking to him. As far as why you and others aren't in my list, it's because:
1. I haven't fought you
2. You suck
3. I don't remember you
4. I forgot to list you
5. I haven't fought you enough to make a judgement
6. You change your s/n 6 million times a week so I don't know who you really are

As Jedi Knight said, all this is based on my personal experiences while playing this game. So don't get offended if your name isn't in my list.

Some people like to open two windows. Don't ask why. Ever since fear_tetsuo victored in the coveted To3, his ego has risen to a new level. The theory of being virtually unbeatable, sunk in. Of course he's denied ownership of both accounts on multiple occasions. Perhaps he differed his fighting styles when opposed to you. But the facts remain, played both numerous times, under differnt s/n's. Hadouken or super hadouken (whatever the #### you call it), superjump, mk and roundhouse. Repetioned. Performed by fear_tetsuo and Lord-Oberon. The obvious spelling mistakes , corrected with a *, whilst in chat room. Could very well be another hint.
Don't you have any reminisces from our previous fight?

I dunno, man...I kind of doubt that he's either one of them, the more I think about it. Plenty of people use '*' to correct spelling errors, myself included. Plus Lord-Oberon rarely resorted to any fireball throwing, just super-jumping all over the screen and generally confusing the #### out of me. fear_tetsuo seems to have a distinct fighting style.

And the Mcbeth_is_gay thing...I dunno about that, either, because he always talked all gay & sh!t, saying stuff like, "I challenge you to a bout of skill." I mean come on, fear_tetsuo would never say anything that lame-sounding.

You kidding , right? Lord-Oberon, rarely resorted to fireball- throwing? I mean, that was the whole basis of his gaming strategy. You could ask any of his casualties. As i recall it , YES i do. There was a old thread, awhile ago entitled Cheapness2 , started by Kngryu1 in general comments and strategies. If my memory serves correctly, GothicArchangel first introduced us to Lord-Oberon and some other dude who he regarded as utterly cheap. Then a whole host of others began ranting this seemingly obnoxious fighting style. Sure does bring back memories.
Anyways, where was we, argh yes. He's either studied his rivals weaknesses and basically exploited them with his legendary game lag, comforting him. This of course does imply to certain individuals. I mean ssjmajin_vegeta has always been in the belief that his cleverness could quite so easily personify a radically varied character, unknowningly. All of course his creations.
For the * correction from spelling errors. Well i dunno. There seems to be a rhythm with him. His mis-spelling rate. Now i'm beginning to sound stupified. But seriously if you know what i'm talking about, you'll notice it.

Jedi Knight: The whole time I fought Lord-Oberon that last time, he threw maybe 5 fireballs, tops. His strategy consisted of jumping roundhouse on the way down, jumping roundhouse on the way up, hurricane kick, teleporting to the other side of the screen, super, repeat. What pisses me off is I knew exactly what he was doing, but still couldn't beat it. He wasn't what I would consider a distance fighter, for the most part. He was in my face the whole round, and it seemed like his moves got priority over everything I tried to do. You've got me interested, though....fear is right, you ain't no n00b...you seem to know an awful lot. Who are you?

Nferno: Yeah, I have fought Pakistani....that's why he only gets an honorable mention, and not an 'Even Match-up'. :biggrin: But cheap or not, he does at least have some skill. One time I was fighting MVC2sucks, and I swear he low punched the whole round. I had to have thrown 30 supers at him.

oberon and d148 fight exactly the same way.lets see mcbeth all of a sudden leaves in april,and is never heard from again.Lord-Oberon begins to pop up a little more often.then i see d148 on every other day.so that should explain some of the confusion.and btw mcbeth gets almost every name he makes from a shakespeare book.i didnt notice it until now.2 months ago in english class the teachr forced us to read a shakespeare book.it was called "a mid summers nights dream".one of the characters is called Oberon the lord of the fairies.i know for sure mcbeth is Lord-Oberon now.as to who told me d148 is mcbeth.shinakuma told me d148 (Mcbeth) told hm that he is mcbeth.believe me or not thats what i believe.unless proven wrong.well as always later.

Have you played Strider recently? He's gotten a lot better. I used to whoop his ass all the time, too...

what is (in millisecond) is average ping ?
mine is about 700, it goes from 500 to 1500 and travel between those !

anyway that's why i cant play at my best, i never really know where is the opponent. you know you cant have good reflexes with that much lag in between !

Ah, the next generation. Fight me sometime. I'm rarely on, but i'll try and be on more in the next few days.

And tarkan, get kawaks or final burn and i'll take guile down from your top tier :) (your list is screwy. ryu should be at least middle tier and vega should be on the top one.)

AsshoIe: The first time I beat you with Ryu, you didn't know who I was because I had just started using 'Troy88' as a s/n. Prior to that I had never used Ryu, because I was stubborn about using no one but Chun-Li under my other s/n, IbanezRG. I remember that much. I meant the comment about beating you to sound humorous, not conceited. Sorry if I offended you. :(

2000warrior: I just haven't played you enough to know where you stand as a fighter. I know for a fact that you have what it takes to beat me in a Chun-Li battle, the closeness of our matches proves that much. But I've never played you in a Ryu match. Now that Chun-Li's supers take 2/3's of your life, a Chun-Li battle is less about strategy and more about playing keep-away from the Kiko Shou (and flash kick ;) ). If you want to have a Ryu battle sometime, I'm up for it.

As far as hosting both of our fights.....that's not completely true. The original terms of my challenge were best out of 3, to alternate hosting, and my opponent was to host the first one. I did it that way on purpose because I wanted it to be fair, but at the same time I didn't want to hear any sh!t afterwards about who hosted, because if it were to go to a 3rd match, my challenger would then host that one as well as the first one. What happened with us was, you hosted the first one, I hosted the second one, and the game froze right at the start of round three (we both had won a round). We ended up dismissing that one since we were tied, and when we got back around to finishing it a few days later I hosted again. But I can see what you mean. I did say we would alternate hosting, so in all fairness you should have hosted the last one that we played. If you want to do another best out of three, I'm up for that as well. :)
