View Full Version : All nOObs, Please Read This - Clear some things up

The reason for this topic is pretty straightforward. People like mastaq think that we experienced players use the word "nOOb" to describe ALL new players. Let me clarify this for all you new people:
When we use the word "nOOb", we don't just mean new people in general (or, at least I don't. I can't speak for everyone on the forum). When we say "nOOb", we are referring to the obnoxious new people that come right off the bat issuing stupid challenges, saying stupid stuff, and trying to act all tough and $hit. Hence, the word "nOOb". for an example, read mastaq's thread about challenging the rangers clan. He comes right off the bat making nOObish comments and challenges, and also makes another common nOOb mistake: double and triple posting. If you have something to add to your original post, don't make a new one. Just edit your old one and stick what you have to say on the end of your old post. Then, he tries to cuss out KidKrazycrap, who is a very experienced member. nOObs trying to cuss out experienced members is a bad idea. You should try to gain the respect of experienced members so they would stick up for you in the future. Not cuss them out because the have a logical objection to your ignorant post.
There, I've said it. I hope you all now realize why we use the word nOOb. Thank you.

When you try to tell someone to do something, if they don't like you what are they likely to do? Ignore you.

Dan: it's in this part of the forum because I made it right after reading mastaq's thread about challenging the "faget power rangers clan", and for a moment I thought I was in General Comm./Strat. Sorry.
KKS: Is there a filter or something here that changes the "$hit" to "crap"? Either way, ROTFL. I'm just getting sick and tired of defensive newbies saying "stop calling us nOObs, we're not bad, etc". From now on, all new people should be noobs, and all snobbish, trash talking, ignorant posting, flaming noobs will be nOObs. Note the lower and upper case letters, separating the definitions

yes, there is a filter now Joe.
there is a topic about it in the comments section.
I can't quite remember what words it filters, you'll just have to find out.

- Try to put a space after "each" period, comma, question mark, explanation mark and etc.
-Try to make the "i" Capital!
-Try to STOP writing in capitals!
-Try not to Double or Triple Post! Just click "Edit" on the last post (Your Post) to say something else!
-And that's about it, well, I mean those are one of the main rules... People might Add more!
Oh and, stop bitching and flaming!!!

Yes, that is also another nOObish--not noobish--way to post. Also, if you sit there (like Death Angel) and somehow manage to misspell EVERY SINGLE WORD, that is also taking being nOObish to the very extreme. Or, like in mastermax's case, streaming every word together without periods or commas AND misspelling every other word.
You know he mite be 50% german like me and cant spell good!

You need to consider that some people can't help but type that way. Some people don't know English that well, and does the best they can to post in English.

Well, i guess we can make exceptions. However, i'm mostly referring to people like Combo_Mastah and Death-Angel, who think it's "ghetto" and "cool" to misspell everything.

SHinkuu hadouken: down, forward, all three punches
shinkuu tatsumaki senpuu kyaku: down, back, all 3 kicks
Karin isn't in this game, this is x-men vs street fighter, not street fighter alpha 3.

Ghetto.
A section of a city occupied by a minority group who live there especially because of social, economic, or legal pressure.
An often walled quarter in a European city to which Jews were restricted beginning in the Middle Ages.
But, as of right now, people use that word as being a THUG or a Area with a lot of "Thuggish Black/White People".

Finally, we are perfecting a society where noobs and vets can live in harmony...as they both insult all nOObs...hehe. You see, ZeroEna did the right thing for a noob to do...didn't make any big statements or challenges, but rather thanked me and everyone else for our inputs on this thread, and asked intelligent questions. For this, Ena, you're welcome.

nantuko joe, what you are talking in my opinion is not noob or anything cause even the expert do that sometimes.
you are more talking about the fact that they have no netiquette (sorry for this word dont know how to say it in english).
a nOOb for me is someone who ,even when you tell him, continue to ask the same question again and again !
