Thought i might want to try vector since i was inspired by spekta's and vf's vectors in their DA galleries. i know the HL logo on Gordon's suit isnt that good but as it is said on the pic , its my first attempt. Comment on em and it would be most appreciated if those who are good in vectors give me some tips on the do's and dont's of vectors.

That really looks like all you did was filter > artistic > cutout, due to the rough shadowing and edges, if its not, it looks too realistic, like the beard, it should be simple and not over detailed, along with the rough sides and shadowing, which makes it REALLY look like you did the cutout filter... i wanna know whether you did or not.
Did you?

i actually used the magnetic lasso tool , the magic wand tool and the dropper tool . those are the only tools i used but as i can see some of the tutorials.. we are suppose to use the pen tool ? its kinda complicated though but ill just keep on trying to understand it.
