Top Scores - easy points...

Hey TMyApp, there are ways to rack up points like nobodies business... and certain people who will remain nameless do it all the time insuring that they will be archived as champions.

Will the next scoring system be based more on skillz and less on racking up ten pathetic points each match? i.e.: the points you obtain after a match is based on the level of skillz u showed, if you win by cheese punching you get almost no points and if you win by displaying skillz you get a kings ransom. And both players recieve points(the loser could get more points if he displayed more skillz). This will insure people notourious for cheesing and lagging people to death stay off the first page.

how about instead of the points now (this might be easier for tmy) why not give points for the hits made and what kind of hits were made like in the first few games u gained points for combos and hits but the ranks would be an average of all the points you get.. that would be more about skill then wins or points =)

Well that is the basic of 3rd Strike, basically you could keep doing 4 hit Hurricane Kicks, instead of 1 hit Hadoukens. 3rd Strike though also ranks you if you keep using the same move repeatedly.

I think the Ranking system in Capcom Vs. SNK 2 is much better then in SF3 3rd Impact. The Great, Good, Poor system was well thought out, awsome, and adds and subtacts points on how/when you block, if you miss, connect, with what, so forth...and shows you on screen at the top if your action was great, good, or poor.

I disagree, to be honest they are exactly the same, the only difference is, is that you get a grade or a word. 3rd Strike uses EVERY factor that CvsSNK does.
