The picture looks resized and can't be seen that much.

You should try making the background like alll icey smoky kinda background.
Atleast i see the border is going a all with the the stock. (since bender is a from of a robot)
Though i don't like those new style borders in my view....

Hrmmm i dont see the darkness issue, well i do, but everyone has a different brightness setting on their comp, which will mess up the outcome to others, after adjusting my brightness, its pretty good labby
