I need help with inserting images. whenever i post and image there is an x. is there anything wrong with this code?

Try putting the IMG code in

[code:1]whatever the link is[/code:1]

Or the hosting site could be down and it won't let you picture show, try hosting it at these sites:
http://www.imgspot.com
http://www.greatimagehost.com

Or you can go to image on Add reply thingy and paste it their and then re copy it and paste it at my personlity place.
