My banner! - Plz rate it plzzzzzz

[color=#FF0000:post_uid6]OK! Virt i tried my best to follow your tut today and i made a banner. Can someone please rate it and tell me what i need to improve on? Keep in mind that this is maybe my second time using PhotoShop..my first was on that cammy banner in my sig :cry:

I remember my first time. In Senshukentaikai, Jan. 2002. I used paint shop pro 7. LMAO. My favorite filter was "Hot Wax". lol. To think of it now, that banner I made kinda sucked. but I did needed a confidence builder. but by the looks of your banner, it looks alot better than the one I made for my first time. So I am going to give you a ####ie rating.

hum banner is aight just add border and work on the bg/font

tip1. a border always makes it look professional and 'complete' add a 1, 2 or 3 pixel banner... use the pencil then hold SHIFT... click and drag at one direction and it will go perfectly straight as long as you hold down shift...
tip2. experiment with Layer> Layer Style... its usefull for your fonts
tip3. a beggining blending technique is the blur and eraser tools... put the eraser at a very low strength and stroke the edges.
otherwise it looks good, try out some filters... and using the brush tool takes more time to get used to so give it time...

heh blossom , that bg is definitely from a tutorial.. i used it a long time ago when i wasnt even in this forum yet. Anyways try not to lower the opacity of the image , it kinda spoils the whole thing. For the typo , try adding some blending to it ( stroke , outer glow and inner glow )
