Character unlocking

[color=#000000:post_uid11]:baaa: when i was playing TODAY i unlocked 2 more characters sentinel and chunli. I logged on later but i only had sentinel ryu and sakura
whats going on

Make sure you have all of the d/l files.
Try d/l all the files over again.

the character "unlock" info is stored on the server.... and is given to the client when you login (ie: it has nothing to do with the files of the game... or the browser cache :biggrin: )

... Ahh it just a glich. (ie: When you beat 6 people you will get chun li and Sentinel but to get chun li you need 10 wins. So if you log off and log in that make you get only sentinel =/ Do you get what I mean. You need 10 win to get chun li :D

ur wrong TMy you don't know what happen on SFO user. If you made a new account u get 5 wins or 7 wins u will unlock sentinel. Sometimes it unlock chun li for no reason cuz of the glitch. Once u log out and log in you will see that ur chun li is lock becuase u don't have enough win to get her. Check your SFO score CLICK HERE (http://sfo.gotdns.com/sfo/scores/search.html)

^i just give him the link to search. anyways won't work if youmake so many account trying to unlock everyone unless u have an account over 80 wins but then it will go away when u log out when the server knows it

anyway.. this is how it works...

there are two "systems" that keep track of your score (which in turn determines which characters are locked/unlocked) ... one is client side... and is kept in memory until you close the game or re-login... and the other is server side... and is tied into the top scores server

the server side always overrides the client side...

so.. for example... you create a new account ... play online, and win 10 times... until you close the game and/or re-login... the game will think those are your wins... however, at the same time, some of your wins may not have been submitted to the server correctly (due to connection problems) .. OR, your wins counted as losses (due to the "bug" in the game that i'm still trying to track down)

so.. you go about your business... re-login to the game, and bang.. you have 7 wins and 3 losses (instead of just 10 wins)... some of your characters are now locked once again
