Join us on IRC (EFnet) in #xvssf to chat with eachother about the game and other topics. I will be in there periodically to talk with everyone also.

For people that can't figure out how to use mIRC, we've setup a nice web interface to do it all for you. just go to
http://projectx.cyberfuturism.com/irc/

type in a nickname to use on IRC (might have to change it a bit as it might already be taken) and click the ENTER button. You will be connected and automatically join the chat with the rest of us.

Leftyfb has been bustin' his hump for the last day or 2 to get this IRC Chat set up....so..yeah..it's definetly worth taking the time to check it out.

A great place for players to get the XvsSF Info they might be looking for.

When the window pops up asking if you want to install the javamachine err what ever it's called.....select yes, or always,..basicaly,select any option that means "Yes I wanna get into the chat..now let me in"

On a side note...
Ya'll remember the XvsSF Trivia that was once in the X-Force 2010 Chat room?
Well...that same trivia Q&A can now be found in the Official XvsSF IRC Chat.

Lefty will mostly likely rarely be in there. TMy is busier than lefty...so..probabaly not. I'm sure he'll pop his head in ever few...weeks?months? :biggrin:

Ya right about TMyApp though. He is a little too busy to stop by and hang out at this time...
As for how often TMy will stop in...I can only assume that as the Official Chat becomes more popular, TMy will pop in more often...time will tell. ???

All I usually see in the chat is strangers and the bots. I never seem to see Lefty or TMY in the chat anymore. However, I did see Viper2040 a few hours ago telling Lionheart_X to shut up (he was flooding, shouting out that i was a noob).

Ive been on IRC for along time now..and yes its a great chat program. Efnet is an ok server i guess but it doesnt support the NickServ, ChanServ, BotServ commands..Also you cant register your nick so no one can take it. My personal fav. server has to be ScoobyNet. Dont get me wrong, im not saying Efnet is a bad server, but has a few drawbacks..other than that..its great.

The only people i ever see on there is leftyfbx. :(

About the Bot talking thing...i doubt it was a bot because when you /whois it it doesnt come up as services..which all bots are supposed to say. Also i dont think EFnet supports bots.

It is possible to make a bot talk anyways...i think its like

/msg BotServ SAY #channel (message)

Instead of everyone griping about the lack of ppl in there, JOIN the channel and idle. Maybe this way the channel will grow. Also if you'r in there and on Script or anything but the java thing, i created an mp3 player for IRC. I created it so i could listen to music without going to my desktop. If your on, ill be happy to send it to you. -(Moo|Amp)- .. so hurry in!! :laugh:

If you want to know the channel names and how many there are:

Simply type in /list <---this will bring up a pop-up and tell you the names of the channels and there topics.

If you need to know about anything else, please ask me... :p

There's a side effect to this command though... If you type it in IRC Chat you'll see what I mean.

fighter, I don't think you can have the brackets around your name. Don't use (fighter), try something like -fighter- , or ~fighter~

What I thought about the IRC chat room was... I was hoping it could get more people to come in once SFO was out. But since the game sucked, it's not an exception... Only hoped for more people to chat too.

the IRC server is mostly empty...an ocasional 2-3 ppl are there but that's it! and as game the game, it does not suck..sure it has bugs right nowbut they will be fix :angry:

There's a problem with the channels in the IRC... Everytime I try to join another channel or go into the xvssf, it says that the channel is currently unavailable.. Does anybody else have a problem like that?
That happens sometimes. I just shut the comp off for a few minutes/hours,then turn it back on and it works.=/
