I was browsing the net for a antispyware that i could actually trust and i happen to find the Microsoft AntiSpyware. Let me tell you this works soo good it kills all spyware componet's. Toolbars, and the ones stored in folders. I have no more of the lagging and no more of the annoying spyware pop ups. So do your self a favor and check it out!

to hell with gates

windows is the first non-open source program out there
you can't even go into the damn thing to fix it not to mention it has more encryption keys in it than the company itself originally implemented the NSA has one Windows has one and the others are unkknown to them this means one thing windows is poop in a nice looking box

get spysweeper it gets the traces and then get mozilla it doesn't have the hole in it that IE does since it doesn't allow you to see the drives and only the internet. IE is a shell nothing more

Err... Spysweeper is garbage it only looks for componets with "Spyware" in it well the microsoft scanner takes out all hijacks, spywares, and viruses of all such so i think the microsoft scanner is best.

Its a good application. I don't know what your talking about floaterz, windows overall or this program? Because you don't have to be a rocket scientist to operate it.

[color=#0000FF]Regardless, an AntiSpyware program is an AntiSpyware program, and matter of fact, i'm having issues with spyware myself. I'm having truck loads of pop-ups, and its been preventing me from playing SFO, as when you open another window during a fight, you can't move until you click on SFO again, and if pop-ups come up, you can't move until you get rid of the current ad or ads, and in that time you can get hit bad. That's why 2 days ago I just made myself a chat room floormat, being remember by people from 5 in the afternoon to 2 at night. Pop-ups are NOT something you want just roaming on your comp. I tried to remove the programs by going to Add/Remove Programs, but most of them tried to trick you by telling you that the program ISN'T spyware, and actually tries to help get rid of them.....saying things like, "Wait! Are you sure you want to lose all of these great offers? Do you want to discontinue the un-install and continue to recieve these gifts? Yes-No".....And it also wouldn't let me un-install them without answering 4 questions about WHY I wanted to get rid of them, like what could've the program have done to prevent you from making such a decision......pop-ups are BAD, lol.....that's why i'm downloading that AntiSpyware right now. :D
EDIT; Great, I just figured out I downloaded an AntiSpyware program that wasn't compatible with my computer. It was for Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server

This is a really good program. I've been using AdAware and Spybot, but this is much better. Regardless of if you hate or love Microsoft, this one really works.

Sorry for the double post but I accidentally deleted some files from my pc with this program. Does anyone know how I can get them back?

Try System Restore..and go back to when you had them. If you don't have System Restore on, then your out of luck.

Basically I had a program containing spyware with a folder connected to it which had my important stuff in. Everything started to get removed and I only realised it until almost all of my files were gone. now I know for a fact that things don't actually get deleted from your pc and are only recognized as space for overwriting when you d/l some more stuff. So there must be some sort of software that can help me out right?

in order to restore lost files you must have had a drive set up that keeps deleted files. most of the things that you delete are actually kept in a part hidden on your drive. the fbi has a program that can get to those files. i would knowbecause they took all of the computors at some high school in my district because some stupid kids tried to counterfeit money...

Yeah apparently your pckeeps deleted files for up to 10 years unless you d/l something resulting in them being overwritten. But i'm cool now.

i think a full system restore can get rid of them, but i wouldn't know, nor be able to test it, but a magnet can get rid of anything...
