well i don't see anything better then DOA3 which i don't see on PS2 because the PS2 is too damn slow to play it like it is on XBOX. MAX PAYNE 1 & 2, i know you have them on PS2 as well, but really they downgraded the graphics on PS2, so you're playing those games at half their original speed and graphics resolutions.

think i have enough said. next thing...

ONLINE GAMING:
if you consider that the ps2 servers are like short circuiting because of the supposed traffic on them, you can barely says it cause at the beginning the PS2 wasn,t made for online gaming, sony decided to get online because people asked it, and you got something way delayed and really it only offers HIGH SPEED CONNECTIONs because they say the games requires it, which prooves they don't know poop !

XBOX on the other hand, didn't delayed anything, it was all planned, they have high speed connections as well as low speed connections. not including the way the XBOX LIVE is made, it allows LAN games between XBOXes which means you can have 3 to 4 XBOXes in your houses connected in a network !

DVD PLAYER:
well what's better, a 2X DVD player (PS2, or the all mighty 16X of the XBOX)
that brings me to the simple LOADING TIME on XBOX whch is like half the time a PS2 takes to load a game ! almost no WAIT on XBOX, at least not that i seen.

PLAY's CDs, well not much all CD consoles have done that, but as for AUDIO cds, let me tell ya that the xbox clearly shot down the PS2 sound wise, after all their machine is way higher then the PS2 !

as for games, well they all have great games, but as their is three consoles, mainly all game companies satisfy everyone and make it for all. so they all have great games.

but really except controllers wise, the xbox beats them all and easily at it !
controller wise, yeah PS2 as the best controllers right now, but the new XBOX CONTROLLER is just the right size and buttons are better placed ! just give it time and you'll much better controllers !

Whole NEW quest (SNAKES TALES), whole new graphics overhaul and much more VR trainings !
but this is just an example, lots of games we're remade with way better graphics on XBOX. gameplay wise, you can't say PS2, cause many games that are on PS2 are also on all consoles, you can say CONTROL wise, but never will you say GAMING wise.

i like all 3, they have their games !

Ps2 because its got great games + graphics , its backwards compatible and it can play dvds and music. Xbox is the most powerful of the 3 but has a chunky controller and can play music cds + dvds like ps2 and has online capabilites ( like ps2)

Gamecubes are just awful. Most games are being releasd for PS2 and XBox. They cant play dvds/music and cant go online.

well i have all 3 consoles, and i say that ps2 is the best out of them. I love all three but here's how my vote goes: ps2-1st, gamecube-2nd, and xbox-3rd. Who cares about the dam hardware?? I mean u dont get a system to open it up and analyze the data it has, u get a system for its games, and since ps2 carries the best games, i voted ps2. Xbox is terribly big and the controllers are humungous and its just too bulky. gamecube is too small and ps2 is in da middle, and the games r just soo good on ps2. I dont care that ps2 doesnt have everything xbox has, who gives a dam about all that computer crap. I dont analyze systems to see which is better. atually the XBOX and PS2 gives only HIGH SPEED which reduce highly their ONINE players cause many are still on 56K. but the gamecube offer a 2 in 1 modem which includes 56K and HIGH SPEED capability !

as for hardware wise.... yes it does matter !
as the games that are XBOX only would never run at full speed on a PS2 because it hasn't the power to run them full graphics and full speed.

take a game, analyse it for the PS2 and see how limited he is compared to the XBOX games !
example:
all PS2 games can be easily ported to XBOX, but games on XBOX cannot be ported without losing some graphics int he process !

PS2 games doesn't use ANTI-ALIASING 8X to smooth graphics, because it doesn,t have the power to do so, but XBOX can and easily does.

XBOX does easily LIGHING and TRANSFORM which the PS2 have only basics.

thus you do say the games are better yet in fact they are way more pretty on xbox then on PS2 has the PS2 needs to have a lot less GPU power then XBOX.

basically, you play a game on XBOX, FULL graphics. but the same game on PS2 is like MEDIUM to LOW graphics compared to xbox !

as for gameplay, well i see DOA3 as a very addictive fighting game and i see it way better then DOA2 HARDCORE. also i see the game DRAGON (bruce lee) as a very great beat em up game, those are just example of games you will never find on other consoles other then XBOX.

as for those who say i like the PS2 controller better that why XBOX sucks... well the controller doesn't make the console you know ! anyway... did you even know that i can easily use my PS-PC-GC-N64-DC-SNES-NES controller on my XBOX ?

if you had gone onto ZOPHAR.NET before they closed down their STORE, you would have find all the adapters you needed to be able to use other controllers on your different consoles ! their was also a way to plug in N64 controllers into your PC and like 4 of them at the same time !

Don't get me wrong I like Zelda. I play soul calibur 2 thinking how much it sucks to have Heihachi instead of Link off of Zelda. I even like Dead or Alive Volleyball (not fair that it's x-box exclusive). Substance belongs to PS2 period! I don't care about graphics. (get ready for a facts!) PS2 has better controls and plays old PS 1 games with an option of faster load times. X-box doesn't have any x-box 1 games because it just came out (poor bill gates). Which system has more games? Xbox costs, I don't know how much but I know it costs money and people who dont have/ can't get a credit card can't play xbox 2.PS2 is better because of its unique and simple to use controllers. 3. PS2 is better because it remains an original of the playstation, and as soon as Microsoft heard about it they decided to make this so called XBOX because they knew Computer gaming would go down gradually since the PS2 would have online games. 4.MiCRAPsoft made their system more powerfull in hardware, and added 1 more feature AFTER they heard about the PS2. God knows what the specs would be if they hadn't heard about sony's gaming console. 5. This goes directly to Karma: "PS2 FOREVER! ALL HATAS CAN SUCK SATANS DICK!"

Let me Break it down ta ya real quick X-box is best cause the rich gfx and if youdont like the controller for xbox go out and spend some cash and get a mad catz i love the xbox contrillers. i use one when i play my pc games, and since GTA 3 and gtavc are out for xbox the online versions of the game are comiung in march or april but i dont really want it . cause iu have the muyltiplayer mod for the pc version. so i can play in a whole city with 32 other people who can either flip u up during a mission so that u fai or form a gang and kill u on sight, compete in street races, or just help each other out during a mission thats all the games about sex drugs killing and cash thats wat sets it apart from the others, now in true crime streets of la u play as a cop who as in GTA u can jack cars kill people and perform various tasks but its is basically a driving fighting and shooter at the same time but the driving part is basically a simulation but it gets kind of repetitive most of the time..... so basically xbox runs way faster than ps2 cold ever move and Xbox EVo2 comes out in 2006 its gonna be running at 1700mhz with 2 video cards which will revolutionize gaming history and when ps3 comes out it will only have 733mhz isnt that sad and halo is gonna be on ps2 summer of 2004 cantr wait to see howbad it plays and marve| vs capcom 3 is gonna blow the roof off 2d gaming and revolutionize the way u play fighting games .. with amindblowing 162 characters including characters like dante from the famed devil may cry series with the hidden inclusion of the snk franchise in it will be around 200+ characters and will be an xbox Exclusive but id prevfer to play it with a ps2 conterooler but who cares???? and including Enter the matrix 2 AKA: the matrix returns will feature a 2 player coop mode with vs fighting and the slow motion in the game takes the way bullet time was used to the next level it will look so real on the xbox that uu could swear u could do it right at home.. and half-life 2 is going staraight to xbox 3 or 4 months after release..cause ps2 or gamecube cant stand the beautiful gfx that hl2 has to offer... there was a state ment that alienware couldnt even run hl2 with the amazing visual effects and gfx contained with a 320x640 resolution. and on the other hand looks like the getaway 2 is gonna be a xbox exclusive and yes u play in Ney york city this time as frank hammond his son stolen again and Charlie jolson wasnt killed in the Boat accident hes still alive and rolling up blunts like always.. and the next GTA will vbe an exclusive to xbox only cause rockstart sees that gta was made for the xbox not ps2 word has that gta 3 and vc might find its way to GC.... thats all i should tell u guys dont wanna ruin the suprises for next year :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:

So the Xbox is better hardware wise then the PS2. Ok thats cool, but the PS2 is better in some ways then the Xbox, like its user friendly and easy to store console. The Xbox's graphics are not that much better then the PS2's. Maybe it renders 10 more polygons per second then the PS2 and thats why you see some of those little "cracks" and squares in a PS2 game. But have you played NFS: Underground? Why is it named the best racer of the year easyli, and I'm quoting PS2 Magazine on this and other developers. But this isn't about the game it's about the console. Ok, why did'nt anybody say the Xbox version of the game is better then PS2? Because they are no different. There is maybe 20 games out there that look better on the Xbox then the PS2, but so doeas the xbox have its flaws in some games where a PS2 game looks better on it then on Xbox. Yah the ps3 will push console gaming to the next level with their newly designed grahpics. I've heard something about them having some kind of new graphic sceme that has to do with cells or something anyhow sounds good. Well and the X-Box is coming out with their new system. Which I think will have a 1gig processor in it and no telling what eles. To have a 1gig processor in a console is pretty amazing because it'll be able to match the graphics of a 3gig cpu with a geforce grahpics card or maybe more not shure. Anyhow Im looking forward to 2005-2006 alot of new technology will be coming out. Hmm I still waiting for that new dell chip-set oh boy :).

oh and by the way, in games, the CPU does so little in itself ! the GPU does 80% of the games speed ! the better the GPU the better the game will be, even if the CPU is low ! EXAMPLE: the PS2 capable of good graphics even tho it has a 300mhz CPU !

so having over 1 gig cpu will be something not really of a big deal.

look at it the way you want stupid nerd. i don't know why people keep talking about the PS2 since all games are easily ported to the xbox or gamecube. all fliping games that are made for PS2 can easily be availlable if the companies wanted it, the only thing that makes sony still be in the dev. is the fact that people are sold to the company itself.

just fliping look at those who even without having played or even have tryed the other consoles, have ditched it right away even before the xbox was throwned ont he market !

Well the X-Box can PRODUCE the BEST graphics anyother console can as of now and before it. BUT even knowning that doesnt make the X-Box the number 1 choice for EVERYONE. You see its a matter of taste. I happen to like the gamecube myself they have in my opinion been the SUPER UNDERDOGS from the start. Yet the gamecube is my choice because for one its soo cute :).

the GAMECUBE got online WHEN PHANTASY STAR ONLINE V3 has came out !

for those who don't know, the servers for PHANTASY STARS ONLINE dreamcast stopped working in the middle of this year, for which purpose ? well as sonic team said, the GAMECUBE version is out and they need all the servers they can to please those GAMECUBE users, they have tryed to keep some for the DC users, but it reduced too much their working area, so they completely stopped to support the DC versions and now support the GAMECUBE version !

seriously, in an era of online play, you really think the gamecube would have stayed behind by not going online ? the only thing they have that the other two don't is the phone connection that is availlable as the modem extension that is bought includes an RJ-45 (network cable) and RJ-11 (Phone cable) to be plugged. thus allowing the user to choose between 56K or HIGH SPEED connection !

Well since the gamecube is only a mere 99.99 everyone should own one :D. I got an X-Box too, only because I wanted to play Halo when it first came out. Im still pissed Halo2 released date has been delayed yet again. Ohwell Im not too unpatient heck its only a game anyways. I also own a ps2 which I dont play as much anymore. Once you've played grand theft auto 3 and vice city, teken series, fv series, kingdom of hearts, dbz butokai 1 and 2 its time for me to turn on the other machines. Im really thinking about making a mod which can hold all 3 of my systems but I sctrach that idea untill 2005 when the new systems come out.

First off, This is a very good debate but u will lose I asurre u. Karma, Karma, Karma (sigh) I'm just a tad disgusted because this whole x-box revolution is blinding u from the truth. PPl don't like to buy American made products such as the black box with an x on it. Are u listening? It's crap! Think of it as cars. Who sells more cars, Americans or Japanese. Answer it for u: Japanese. Just because it can freakin upload faster and has more memory doesn't mean it's the best. How many post's does it take to get that in your head? U can't really rate a console...cuz everybody has their own taste.......... I for one, like the gamecube, like the PS2 but don't like the X-Box........... it's the way U feel comfortable playin the game or whatevr and I don't like the X-Box feeling......

seriously, if i ever buy a console its to make some fun out of boring days. but seriously, if i ever buy a PS2 (which will never happen) its not gonna be because of the company itself or how i feel about them ! its gonna be for what the damn console can do and the games that the developpers made for it !

but actually, console wise, the xbox own all. its a system that even if the PS3 is out, the XBOX will still rival it because the technology SONY is using is something like 1 gig while MICROSOFT will be developping the XBOX 2 on something higher then that !

at the best sony is barely following the others which already upgraded to 128 and 256 bit consoles while SONY PS2 is still a 64 bit console !

really sony should really get their technology department up a notch cause they are late as hell now !

anyway...
game wise, i wouldn't mind seeing the developpers coming in for XBOX or gamecube, cause the PS2 is barely able to follow graphic wise !

you should see how they coded MGS2 for PS2 and how they coded MGS2 SUBSTANCE on XBOX and PC... way more stuff in the substance and the graphics are way higher resolution thent he stupid PS2 !

anyway... that's just how i see it !
they are good games on PS2 that would want, but all my fav games are on all three consoles so if i had to choose, the XBOX is definitely the most advanced system and one that will be still going on even after PS3 !

DC should be up there. the only reason it died becasue sony was acting like ps2s graphics was a 100 times better when it wasnt. damn ps2 :angryfire:
