Helped need.. - Command and conquer generals..

I need a little bit of help starting the Command and Conquer generals i just purchased....,I installed the game and after that i tried playing it...,the screen goes dark and then it sends me back to windows desktop saying:Release Crash at Thu Jun 17 14:12:48 2004
; Reason Uncaught Exception in GameEngine::update..any suggestions..?

return it and get another 1 didnt you buy it maybe its a defect

Hmm.. What kind of computer do you have? Maybe your computer doesn't meet the requirements for the game..

Uh how do you expect people to help you if you dont post your Comp Specs. By comp specs Im refferring to your Operating System, Ram, CPU power, Grahpics Card.
